KSrelief expands food aid across global crisis zones
RIYADH: The Kingdom's aid agency KSrelief has delivered thousands of food packages to some of the world's most vulnerable people, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.
In Pakistan, 4,790 packages were distributed to families in need across Balochistan, Kashmir, and Punjab as a part of the Etaam Ramadan project, benefiting 32,631 individuals.
In Somalia, KSrelief distributed 1,550 packages to vulnerable families in Baidoa, benefiting 6,930 people.
Now in its fourth phase, the Etaam project aims to distribute more than 390,000 food parcels in 27 countries during Ramadan, benefiting 2.3 million people at a cost of more than SR67 million ($17.8 million).
Additionally, KSrelief provided 600 packages in Port Sudan, benefiting 3,057 impoverished and displaced people.
In Lebanon, the Saudi Arabia aid agency distributed 800 packages to needy families in Sidon, benefiting 4,000 individuals.

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia's aid agency KSrelief has distributed 360 food packages to vulnerable individuals in Lebanon's cities of Tripoli and Jbeil, benefiting 1,800 people. The distribution is a part of the 2025 emergency food and clothing aid project in Lebanon, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the charity distributed 1,780 sacrificial animals in the Al-Madinah and Al-Wadi districts of Yemen's Marib governorate on Sunday. The initiative benefited 3,560 families under an Eid Al-Adha project in Yemen.

Saudi youth from across the Kingdom have made remarkable contributions to serving pilgrims through volunteer work during this year's Hajj season. Their initiatives included providing medical care, managing crowds at the Grand Mosque, and directing pilgrims to ensure smooth ritual performance. Abdullah Al-Duhailan, the corporation's director general of activities, noted that the number of volunteers has increased by over 60 percent in four years. Photo: SPA Collaboration with Scouts and Organizations Volunteers join public service camps organized by the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association, collaborating with government and civil society organizations. Their roles include guiding lost pilgrims, assisting patients at clinics, and transporting those in need with hospital vehicles. Additionally, volunteers support tasks alongside the Ministry of Commerce and Makkah municipality. They identify lost pilgrims' nationalities and service office numbers by scanning barcodes on Nusuk cards. Saudi minister conducts field tour of Makkah's holy sites
Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq Al-Rabiah conducted a field tour of the holy sites to inspect camp readiness and facilities ahead of pilgrims' move to Arafat on Thursday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
