KUWAIT CITY, May 15: Zain announced its official sponsorship of the 10th Arab Handball Cup Championship, which was hosted in Kuwait and organized by the Kuwait Handball Federation. The tournament saw the participation of 9 Arab national teams who competed over a full week in a vibrant sports atmosphere and a strong fan presence. The championship concluded with Qatar winning the title, Bahrain coming in second, and Kuwait taking third place.
At the closing ceremony, President of the Kuwait Handball Federation, Fouad Al-Bloushi, honored Hamad Al-Musaibeeh, Corporate Relations Department Manager at Zain Kuwait, in recognition of Zain's support for the championship. The company's sponsorship came as part of its ongoing strategy to support major tournaments that enhance Kuwait's presence in both local and international sports arenas.

The 10th edition of the championship was held at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Sports Complex and featured 9 strong Arab teams: Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and the host nation, Kuwait. The Kuwaiti national team achieved third place following a commendable performance that received praise from fans and spectators, reflecting the significant progress of handball in Kuwait.

Medal Winners: Women's Category: Shahd Al-Amri – Gold, under 62 kg Mariam Hijazi – Silver, under 62 kg Hawraa Al-Damkhi – Silver, under 53 kg Girls' Category: Al-Misk Muhammad – Silver, under 59 kg Fatima Al-Zahraa – Bronze, under 55 kg Nour Al-Ostadh – Bronze, under 55 kg Juniors Category: Ghalla Al-Assaf – Gold, over 59 kg Zainab Al-Hawraa – Bronze, under 55 kg Layal Al-Ghaib – Bronze, under 44 kg In addition, Ghalla Al-Assaf was named Best Female Athlete of the Tournament, while coach Raed Mohammed Naji earned the Best Coach award for his leadership during both the camp and the competition. CAIRO, Aug 12: Abdullah Hani, a member of Kuwait's national squash team, added another achievement to the federation's record by finishing third in the Under-17 category at the Egypt International Championship. The prestigious junior tournament concluded the day before yesterday at the Madinaty Club courts in Cairo. Abdulrahman Al-Sanea was the tournament's dark horse, surpassing expectations by reaching the quarterfinals and finishing sixth out of 128 players. Hani also made headlines by defeating the fourth seed, Yassin Bayoumi, 3-1 in the quarterfinals. Both players were guided by coaches Majid Khan and Falah Faiz, with fitness coach Ahmed Al-Sayed supporting their preparation. The Kuwaiti delegation was led by Secretary General Hamed Al-Omran. At the closing ceremony, top players gathered alongside Egyptian Federation President Amina Al-Tarablusi. Al-Omran presented her with a commemorative shield, and she expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti Squash Federation for its significant role and active participation in the event.
