Toronto man who allegedly assaulted 3 women on TTC property sought by police

Toronto police are looking for a man who they say assaulted three female strangers on TTC property.
The latest incident occurred on the afternoon of June 5 at Broadview Station. Police said a male suspect was inside the station at that time when he assaulted a woman 'unprovoked.'
Police say the suspect, who does not know the victim, fled the scene. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
In investigating that incident, police say they were able to identify the suspect as a man sought in two other assaults on TTC property which occurred earlier this year.
On Feb. 27, police said, officers were called to the area of Broadview Avenue and Gerrard Street East for an assault on a TTC streetcar. In that case, police said the suspect assaulted the victim after a 'brief' verbal exchange. The suspect fled the scene, and the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The victim and suspect are not known to each other.
Before that, on Jan. 28, police were called to Woodbine Station for an assault. Police said the suspect and a female victim were both on the bus when the victim exited. She was assaulted by the suspect who fled the scene. Again, the suspect and victim are unknown to each other.
Police identified a suspect as Mussie Woldemariam, 61, of Toronto in news release issued Monday. He's wanted on three counts each of assault and breach of probation.

Police took the boy and his companions – two teen girls who were also intoxicated – into custody for breaching the peace, the PMPD said. One of the teens damaged a police vehicle and another obstructed a police officer, the department said, adding that the youths were later 'released to their guardians.' The boy now faces a driving prohibition and vehicle impoundment for his impaired driving, police said. 'The youths were coming from Sasamat lake, which has seen an uptick in calls for service over the past week,' said Const. Sam Zacharias, in the release. 'The operator of this vehicle put the community at risk, and it is fortunate he was intercepted by our officers.'

Ottawa police looking to identify suspects involved in ByWard Market assault

Police say officers responded to the 400 block of Cumberland Street after getting reports of a disturbance outside a restaurant. During the incident, police say the suspects 'shoved and punched' the victim before fleeing the area on foot. The victim suffered minor injuries. The first suspect is described as a woman, approximately 30 years old with a short stature, thin build and dark hair worn in a ponytail. She was wearing dark pants, a pink shirt with a dark star on the front, a black coat and black loafers. She was also carrying a small backpack. The second suspect is described as a woman, approximately 30 years old, with a short stature, thin build and curly red hair. She was wearing jeans, a black crop top, a dark green jacket and a black baseball cap with a Nike logo on the front left. She was wearing brown three-inch boots and was carrying a black purse. Quebec woman dies following two-vehicle crash on Manitoba highway: RCMP

(CTV News Winnipeg) A 68-year-old woman from Quebec has died following a two-vehicle crash near Virden, Man. Monday evening. According to RCMP, officers were called to a crash at around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 83 and Provincial Road 257. They arrived to find a heavily damaged SUV and a truck further down Highway 83, lying on its side. An initial investigation by RCMP found the SUV was heading west on Provincial Road 257 and stopped at a stop sign near the highway. RCMP said the SUV crossed the highway and was hit by the truck on the rear driver's side. There were four people inside the SUV, police said. One passenger from Quebec, a 68-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 45-year-old woman from Saskatchewan, and two other women from Quebec, aged 20 and 47, were taken to hospital and remain in stable condition. A passenger in the truck, a 19-year-old man from Winkler, was taken to hospital with a serious injury, RCMP said. Three other people in the truck were not injured. The crash is under investigation. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
