Viewer's horrified after doc about adult star who slept with 1,000 men airs on major TV network: ‘Literal porn'
Channel 4, a British free-to-view TV station, premiered '1,000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story' in the UK on Wednesday evening.

But the one-hour documentary, which details the troubling tale of the 26-year-old as she has sex with 1,057 men in 12 hours, has been met with widespread criticism for being 'jaw-droppingly graphic' from viewers.
Now Channel 4 has hit back at critics, arguing the pornographic content is compliant with local broadcasting codes.
'The explicit content in the documentary is editorially justified and provides essential context; making pornographic content is Bonnie's job, and this film is about her work and the response to it,' the broadcaster said, according to LADbible.

'Crucially, the content is presented in a non-gratuitous manner and viewers will be alerted of the sexual content in a program warning at the start to ensure they understand from the outset the nature of the program.
'The program was broadcast after watershed and is compliant with the Ofcom broadcasting code.'
But it has done little to quell the outrage online, with some labelling the documentary – billed as delving 'behind the headlines, clickbait and rage bait to discover what life's really like in Bonnie's wild orbit' – as 'grubby' just seconds in.
'Channel 4 has sunk a new low. Why is there a documentary on Bonnie Blue? Why are they trying to normalise her behaviour on national television?' one asked on X.

'This #bonnieblue documentary is absolutely depressing… I feel like I'm losing my mind watching this,' mused another.
As one raged: 'Channel 4 you are truly disgusting for airing a documentary about Bonnie blue in any way shape or form. Genuinely disappointing how that woman is allowed a platform of any sort.'
Others said the film — that makers said 'explores the central question polarizing debate about her: Is she a 'dangerous predator' pandering to male fantasies and perpetuating the patriarchy? Or an empowered, sex positive, businesswoman having the last laugh?' — failed to answer its own probing questions.

The film also features multiple scenes of Blue – whose real name is Tia Billinger – and various men engaging in graphic sexual acts.

She's also shown completely nude at times and as well as while shooting adult videos with other porn stars.
As a result, many branded the film 'disturbing,' 'sickening' and 'degrading', arguing it should never have been shown on TV.
During the documentary, Blue is reportedly seen preparing for her most notorious stunt by buying '1,600 condoms, 50 balaclavas, numbing lube.'
It's not just the stunt itself, along with the film, that has sparked outrage, with Blue's extreme approach to filming adult content regularly attracting widespread criticism.
Dr. Charlotte Proudman, a family lawyer, said: 'The language Bonnie uses around being 'tied down, gagged and choked' for public consumption directly mirrors some of the most violent forms of abuse I see survivors disclose in courtrooms.'

Others challenged Blue's suggestion that she is a 'feminist,' stating her normalization of 'degrading' porn is 'worrying.'
One thing's for sure, her reign on OnlyFans has come to an end, with the subscription platform popularized by sex workers banning Blue after she announced she was hosting a 'petting zoo' – where she was set to be tied up in a glass box 'like a zoo animal' for anyone of legal age to join her.
A spokesperson for OnlyFans said 'extreme 'challenge' content is not permitted on the site,' stating it goes against its 'Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service'.
'Any breach of our Terms of Service results in content or account deactivation,' the spokesperson told The Sun last month.

The move has bought an abrupt end to her mammoth earnings on the platform and also ended her long-time friendship with Australian sex worker Annie Knight, famously dubbed 'Australia's most sexually active woman.'
The former marketing executive told news.com.au last week their friendship turned sour after Blue went on a media rampage after her 'horrifying' sex event was canned, during which time she seemingly took a swipe at Knight.
Taking aim at OnlyFans, Blue claimed the platform 'took unprecedented action' to punish her for 'making content, while multiple other creators are mimicking my entire marketing techniques and events.'

'The only difference is, I don't cry and I don't vlog hospital journeys. I just keep smiling,' she fumed, referring to Knight's recent hospitalization for an endometriosis flare up.
It was a 'stab in the back' for Knight who ultimately decided it was time to cut the British sex worker out of her life.
'I'd spoken to her just a week prior and everything was fine and then she got banned from OnlyFans and the next thing I know, she's badmouthing me online, using my health issues against me and trying to get me banned as well,' Knight told news.com.au.

'Her ship was going down and she tried to pull down as many people with her as possible, that's something I would absolutely never do.
'She tried to take credit for other people's careers and insinuate that people copied her, namely me. It's a huge stab in the back.'
Knight said she had been growing increasingly concerned about the direction Blue's content was going in, noting that 'consent' and 'respect' are at the forefront of her own videos.
'I think the derogatory nature of the 'petting zoo' was horrifying. It opened the floodgates for abuse and other horrible things to occur. It was a line I wouldn't even dream of crossing,' the 27-year-old, who is originally from Melbourne, explained.
'I think at the end of the day our morals are completely different. Consent is so important and it has always been important that I convey that in my content.
'Sex is meant to be enjoyable for both parties and that's the most important thing for me to educate people on.'
Prior to this, the pair had filmed controversial content with 'barely legal' young men, both in Australia and in Fiji where their tourist visas were abruptly cancelled over the stunt.

British holidaymaker arrested in Florida resort after 'trying to drown daughter-in-law in swimming pool'
A British holidaymaker has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after he allegedly tried to drown his daughter-in-law. Mark Gibbon, 62, was with his family at the Solterra Resort in Davenport, Florida when he reportedly got into an argument over the "stipulations of his will". According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Gibbon attempted to push the relative, 33, under the swimming pool at their place near Disney World. His granddaughter, nine, reportedly jumped into the pool to try and save her mother but he pushed her away. He is said to have stopped the alleged attempted drowning when two neighbouring sisters said they had called 911. Gibbon, of Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, was taken into custody on August 3 just after 5.15pm. He allegedly admitted to pushing his daughter-in-law under the water but denied trying to drown her. 'She advised that she could not breathe and believed that she was going to drown,' deputies wrote. '(The victim) advised that she had to fight Mark in order to get away from him and from under the water but he kept pushing her back under.' Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said: 'It's great that Polk County draws visitors from all across the world, but we expect vacationers to behave while they visit with us, just as we expect our lifelong residents to do the same. 'Because Mr Gibbon couldn't control his anger, he may find himself spending a lot more time in Florida than he had anticipated.' He has now been charged with attempted second-degree murder and battery. He is due in court on September 9. Gibbon is a lighting technician who runs his own company, MRG Lighting, and has worked on music videos for the likes of Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Paloma Faith.

Dennis Carvajal with ONE Sotheby's International Realty represented the local power couple, while the British singer was repped by Chad Carroll at Compass, the Miami Herald was told. According to the description on the 19,380-square-foot, seven bedroom, eight bathroom waterfront estate sits on a one-acre peninsula in the exclusive gated enclave of Old Cutler Bay. Lopez and Martin, parents of two, purchased the property, built in 2016, in 2022 for $21.5 million, then gave it a major glow-up, as seen in a few episodes of the Bravo hit. The sprawling, so-called smart home is 'designed for both everyday living and grand entertaining,' with such amenities as a movie theater, wine cellar, gym, massage room/spa, resort style pool, 18-car garage, a dock, plus views for days. Movie Review: Kristin Scott Thomas directs Scarlett Johansson in comedic drama 'My Mother's Wedding'
Before Kristin Scott Thomas turned 12, she lost her father and stepfather. Both were Royal Navy pilots who died in crashes. The first happened when she was 5. The second at age 11. Thomas uses these facts, a kind of origin story, as the basis for her directorial debut, 'My Mother's Wedding,' a comedic drama about family, trauma and getting on with it that opens in theaters Friday. Knowing that the story comes from a real place is important for the experience. It gives 'My Mother's Wedding,' a perfectly average film that doesn't quite land the way it should, an emotional depth that it's otherwise lacking. This is a strange shortcoming considering the caliber of the cast, including Thomas as the bride to be, and Sienna Miller, Emily Beecham and Scarlett Johansson as her daughters. But it's a cruel reminder that a good hook, talented actors, one killer monologue and a picturesque setting (in this case, the English countryside) aren't guarantees that a movie will work. In the film, the deaths may be in the distant past, but they continue to haunt Diana's (Thomas) adult daughters as she prepares to marry another. Diana's new man is not a dashing pilot, forever preserved in handsome youth. Geoffrey (James Fleet) is very gray. He likes to talk about birds, ospreys in particular, has never had children and comes with a very silly last name (Loveglove) that she plans to take. Her girls are not exactly impressed, though they've all got their own stuff to deal with. It should be said that Johansson is indeed playing a British woman in this film, and while I don't feel qualified to comment on the nuances of her accent, all I can say is that there is a consistently strange disconnect to hear it coming out of her mouth. Johansson is a great actor who I've believed in many wilder roles, from Marvel movies right on down to her Ellen Greene riff during 'Saturday Night Live's' 50th anniversary show. But, somehow, she's hard to buy as Katherine Frost: A British, lesbian Royal Navy officer in a longtime relationship with a woman named Jack (played by fellow beauty Freida Pinto). Miller's character is Victoria, a Hollywood actor known for franchise dreck (no one can remember whether the latest 'Dame Of Darkness' is the fourth or fifth in the series) and short-lived relationships. And Beecham is the youngest Georgina, a nurse who suspects that her husband is having an affair. To find out, the girls hire a private detective to surveil her house and show them the footage after the wedding. It's a very busy, fraught weekend for everyone. There's lots of fretting over why Katherine won't marry Jack, and why Victoria is dancing around a relationship with a wealthy, older French man when her childhood crush still pines for her. There's lingering anxiety about their mom marrying this man who seems so unlike the two heroes that came before and much discussion about the importance of last names, marriage and making sure kids feel like they belong to someone. Some things get resolved, but it's hard to shake the feeling that everyone might need a new therapist by the end. 'My Mother's Wedding' also has a silly lightness to it that's aiming for something along the lines of a Richard Curtis romantic comedy. But coherency of the vision is limited, as is the audience's investment, though there are some lovely and inspired touches like using Iranian artist Reza Riahi to hand paint several animated flashback vignettes based on her memories of her fathers. Thomas co-wrote the script with her husband, journalist John Micklethwait, which includes a particularly poignant monologue for her character telling her daughters, essentially, to grow up and move on — a mature and worthy statement that might come a bit too late. 'My Mother's Wedding' feels only partially realized. But Thomas did have the good sense to end with a song that might just conjure up some feelings for any 'Heartburn' fans out there: Carly Simon's 'Coming Around Again,' this time a duet with Alanis Morissette. 'My Mother's Wedding,' a Vertical release in theaters Friday, is rated R by the Motion Picture Association for 'brief nudity, some sexual material and language.' Running time: 95 minutes. Two stars out of four.
