In the video released by South Australia Police, three men are seen pulling up at night outside a fenced-off building in Port Pirie - around 124 miles north of Adelaide.
One of the suspects jumps out of the car and begins dousing the home in Solomontown with liquid from a container.
Police said: 'As seen in the footage, three male suspects had attended an address in Young Street and doused the front of the residence with accelerant.'
Liquid can also be seen spilling onto the pavement as the man carelessly pours out the flammable substance.

The three bungling men can be seen bolting out of the car on both sides.
Police said the men 'ran off, abandoning the car in the street'.
They added: 'It is extremely likely they have suffered significant burns or injuries in the fire and police urge them to seek medical attention.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the burning car and another fire burning at the front of a nearby home.
Both fires were put out using a fire extinguisher.
The people inside the house were not injured, although the outside was charred by flames, according to police.
It comes as a personal trainer chased down an arsonist after three cars were set on fire outside his house in May.
Mike Hind, 41, captured the blaze on his Ring doorbell in the dead of night as his children were sleeping peacefully.
The gym coach, who lives in Middlesbrough, posted the footage on social media.
A man dressed in joggers can be seen splashing petrol across each of the vehicles, including a Range Rover and Mazda sports car, parked in the driveway at midnight.
The vehicles caught fire instantly, with flames spreading across the drive.
The doorbell footage then shows an undressed Mike running out of the house as the arsonist, in a black checked shirt, runs from the scene.

Jamie Seery, 36, punched XL Bully Bronson and screamed 'chop it, chop it' while Michael Keegans, 32, rained down blows with a meat cleaver and a knife. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 Two thugs were jailed after appearing at Hamilton Sheriff Court, Lanarkshire Credit: Alamy 3 Jamie Seery attacked two dogs in Bellshill, Lanarkshire, along with a pal 3 Michael Keegans admitted attacking Bully dogs at Hamilton Sheriff Court The incident in Bellshill, Lanarkshire, left Bronson with his brain exposed and an American Bully called Karma with injuries. Police discovered both yobs with their hands covered in blood while the weapons were found in a garden. Keegans claimed his Staffy called Tyson had been attacked but no wounds were found on him. The dogs were given emergency treatment in January last year and their shocked owner left with a vet bill of £600. Seery and Keegans, both of Bellshill, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted causing the dogs unnecessary suffering. Seery also admitted acting in a threatening or abusive manner and resisting arrest. Sheriff John Hamilton KC jailed Keegans for 14 months and handed Seery a 13-month term behind bars for what he branded an 'awful incident'. Depute fiscal Rebecca Clark said: "Both men were at the address visiting Mr Seery's uncle and consuming alcohol. "At 2am the dogs were let out into the garden to go to the toilet but their owner later heard her dogs barking and formed the impression that, in her words, a stramash was taking place. "She then heard Mr Seery shouting 'chop it, chop it' so ran out and saw both accused appearing to punch into her dog Bronson. "She did not see any weapons but police later found weapons within the garden. "Both dogs were collected from the garden and she could then see both dogs had significant injuries, described blood as 'squirting' and could see the dog's brain." The prosecutor added: "Police attended and both accused were noted to literally have blood on their hands and appeared under the influence. "Mr Keegans said, 'I'll tell you what happened, the dog attacked my dog, the knife was there and I had to defend my dog'." Scott Jones, defending Seery, said: "Clearly decisions were made which were inappropriate. "All three dogs have certain reputations it would be fair to say and what happened must have been quite a frightening thing to witness. "He accepts he encouraged the co-accused but describes himself as an animal lover and very much regrets what happened." Gregor Jarrott, defending Keegans, said: "He accepts that his decision making was influenced by his consumption of alcohol and drugs. "It is not the case that he just attacked these dogs, there was a perceived threat towards his dog but he acted inappropriately." Sheriff Hamilton told the yobs: "There was no justification for you using weapons in an attack where one appeared to be the main actor with the other shouting encouragement repeatedly. "It is concerning the level of violence that was immediately gone to by you pair, it was entirely unjustifiable and I consider the custodial threshold has been crossed." Both men were banned from keeping dogs for five years.

The force confirmed two days after the crash that two women, aged in their 80s and 90s had died. The blue BMW had been pursued by officers on the A1231 when it crashed into the home, which cares for dementia sufferers. It followed reports of a car being stolen in Newcastle around 20 minutes before the crash. After a short pursuit, the BMW struck the Highcliffe Care Home. Pictures revealed a gaping hole in the side of the nursing home - which cares for around 60 residents. Upturned furniture could be seen among shattered bricks and broken glass inside while rubble also littered the ground outside the home. Reece Parish, of Fordham Road, appeared at Newcastle Crown Court via a videolink and admitted stealing the motor. The 21-year-old denied a kidnap charge relating to a woman who was in the BMW 3-series when he and co-accused Sam Asgari-Tabar took it for a test drive. Christopher Knox, for Parish, said the defendant was "regretful and apologetic" about the tragedy. Grandad, 86, killed on way to chippie by drug dealer popping wheelies on e-bike Asgari-Tabar, of no fixed address, previously admitted robbery and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Northumbria Police confirmed the two men will not face charges over the deaths of the two women. The force said: "Following the incident, two care home residents died a short time later but no criminal proceedings are to be brought in relation to the deaths." Judge Robert Spragg said the men will be sentenced on October 17 and he remanded the pair in custody. He told them: "You have both very sensibly pleaded guilty to these matters and you will be given credit for that from the sentencing judge in due course." At the time of the crash, Asgari-Tabar was subject to a suspended sentence imposed in May, the court heard. The Crown Prosecution Service indicated that it will not proceed with the kidnap charges against the pair and those alleged offences will lie on file. After the hearing, Chief Superintendent Mark Hall, of Northumbria Police, said: "This was a shocking incident in one of our communities - the actions of both men that night were incredibly reckless. "I am pleased the swift and diligent work of all involved in our investigation left them with no choice but to admit their guilt at court." A spokesperson for Avery Healthcare, which runs the home, said: "We are deeply saddened by the incident at our home in Sunderland and our thoughts are with all those affected. "We are committed to supporting our residents, their families, and our dedicated staff during this incredibly difficult time. "We are immensely grateful for the compassion and professionalism our teams have shown and continue to show. "As this remains part of an active police investigation, we are unable to comment further at this stage." 5 Tributes and flowers left at the care home Credit: NCJMedia
