Prices leak for every Pixel 10 phone

The Verge31-07-2025
We've already seen what every Pixel 10 model looks like, and now we might know the pricing, too. A new leak from Android Headlines suggests the base Pixel 10 with 128GB of storage will have the same $799 starting price as its predecessor, while the rest of the lineup isn't seeing any major changes, either.
The price of the Pixel 10's 256GB model also appears to remain unchanged, as Android Headlines lists it as costing $899. Meanwhile, the Pro-level Pixel 10 could still start at $999, jumping to $1,099 for 256GB, $1,219 for 512GB, and $1,449 for 1TB.
The Pixel 10 Pro XL is the only model that may get a small price bump, but that's only because Google is supposedly getting rid of the 128GB model. Instead of starting at $1,099, the Pixel 10 Pro XL may cost $1,199 for 256GB of storage, which is the same price as the 256GB Pixel 9 Pro XL. The Pixel 10 Pro XL is also rumored to come in a 512GB variant for $1,319, along with a 1TB version costing $1,549, according to Android Headlines.
As for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Android Headlines suggests the device will start at $1,799 for 256GB of storage. It may also have the same $1,919 price tag for 512GB of storage, while the rumored 1TB option could cost $2,149.
We're still weeks away from Google's Pixel launch event on August 20th, but there has already been a trove of leaks — including one from Google itself — that suggest that Google is making several updates to its Pixel lineup. That includes bringing magnetic Qi2 charging to the Pixel lineup, dust-proofing the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and adding a third camera to the base Pixel 10.

Duolingo stock is surging after announcing it's making a lot more money from AI during earnings

Duolingo stock is surging after the language learning company reported strong Q2 earnings. The company seems to be benefiting from lower-than-expected AI costs. Retail investor interest in DUOL stock is surging as it continues to trend. Duolingo may be one of the Q2 earnings season's unexpected winners. The language learning platform reported its Q2 results on Wednesday, revealing significant revenue growth and record profitability, sending Duolingo stock soaring. Subscription revenue increased 46% and overall revenue rose by 41%. Duolingo also reported record net income and raised its full-year guidance, signaling high confidence in its future prospects. DUOL stock rose 30% in the first few hours of trading on Thursday, following the company's strong earnings report. The company also seems to be benefiting from its continued artificial intelligence integration. More specifically, the company's leaders have made clear that they have been able to integrate AI tools and features into more of their offerings at a lower cost than anticipated. This includes the conversational AI feature available in Max, Duolingo's top-tier subscription service. "We expanded gross margin by 130 basis points to 72.4% from Q1 to Q2, due to lower-than-expected AI costs and strength in our ads business," said CEO Luis von Ahn in his letter to shareholders. Von Ahn added that gross margin did fall 100 basis points year-over-year due to the higher AI costs that came with the Max expansion. It was less than the 300 basis points they had initially predicted. "We now expect FY 2025 gross margin to decline about 100 basis points year over year, which is an improvement from the guidance we provided last quarter," he noted, attributing this to lower AI costs and ad business strength. This comes just a few months after Duolingo came under fire when von Ahn announced plans to shift toward an AI-first business model, comments that he walked back shortly thereafter. As Duolingo stock has surged, it has caught the attention of retail traders, who seem optimistic about its growth prospects. Data from Stocktwits shows that retail sentiment towards it is "highly bullish" and that message volume is extremely high. Meanwhile, Duolingo stock is gaining traction on popular retail investor forums such as r/WallStreetbets. According to ApeWisdom, mentions of DUOL have surged 1,200% during the past 24 hours. Look what the U.S. Air Force has in store for the Cybertruck!

We already know that Tesla's Cybertruck fares pretty well in a hail of bullets, but how would it do if a missile landed on it? Our guess is, not very well. But the U.S. Air Force wants to find out for sure. Recommended Videos Why? Because it believes that the Cybertruck's relatively affordable price and its tough exterior could make it popular among rag-tag armies looking for mainstream vehicles that are made of sterner stuff. Online magazine The War Zone has happened upon information revealing that the Air Force recently requested a batch of 33 vehicles that it wants to use for target practice. The shopping list includes sedans, pick-ups, and SUVs, though only Tesla's electric pickup was mentioned by name. And it asked for three of them. At some point in the not-too-distant future, the purchased Cybertrucks will be driven to a spot on the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) in New Mexico before being blasted sky high by an array of weapons. The damage will to the pick up will then be carefully assessed. 'The Cybertruck's aggressively angular and futuristic design, paired with its unpainted stainless steel exoskeleton, sets it apart from competitors typically using painted steel or aluminum bodies,' the Air Force said in a document seen by The War Zone. The document continues: 'Its 48V electrical architecture provides superior power and efficiency, a feature that rivals are only beginning to develop. Extensive internet searches and industry outreach by [redacted] found no vehicles with features comparable to those of the Cybertruck.' At its launch event in November 2023, Tesla boss Elon Musk said the Cybertruck was 'apocalypse-proof.' While the comment was delivered with tongue firmly in cheek, Musk was highlighting that the pickup was designed to be more robust than others in its class. In a video shown at the Cybertruck's launch, Tesla demonstrated the vehicle's ability to handle a hail of bullets. The stunt began with a Tommy gun before moving onto a Glock, an MP5SD submachine gun, and a shotgun. And the vehicle did very well. Not sure it'll stand up to something like an AGM-114 Hellfire air-to-surface missile, though. Data suggests that Tesla sold around 50,000 Cybertrucks between November 2023 and February 2025, well short of the automaker's expectations. The pressure on sales have been attributed to various factors, including steeper-than-expected pricing, apprehension over multiple recalls, and damage to Tesla's brand perception amid Musk's political controversies.
