They were axed following a brutal twist on the show, which saw Shaikra and Ty given the power to boot a couple out.
Now Tommy has slammed Shakira, during his appearance on last night's Love Island After Sun.
Asked how he felt about her decision to give him and Lucy the boot he said: "I think me and Lucy deserved more of a journey there, if I'm honest."
He then was heard saying: "(We were) One of the strongest couples in the villa, in my opinion, not even just as a stand-out. The minute Shakira got up,
"I knew she was going to do something to get people to look at you. In my opinion, from what I saw, she's not a bit of an nasty girl.
"She is very bitchy, yeah, that's the word."
But fans were left unhappy by his remarks, and took to social media to vent, with one saying: 'I love Tommy, but the fact that he was making excuses for her but calling Shakira a nasty girl had me confused'
Another added: 'He's a nasty guy, he was projecting his real self disguised as a fake 'Mr nice guy.'"
This one said: "Him and Lucy were really mean saying unnecessary comments about Shakira, very low life comments - '…bitchy!', then again they hung out with the coven of witches mean clique in the villa so it makes sense.'
Another fumed: 'Ngl I never thought Tommy was a 'nice guy' he was wildly territorial over Megan after like a week'
This person said: 'He's vile and only said that to turn the public view so coz he didn't win and nor should shakira - was her choice so get over it'
Love Island villa left in shock as devastated Emily is dumped by Tommy for Casa Amor beauty in brutal recoupling
Tommy and Lucy put on a united front, despite being plagued by split rumours.
The pair got together during the dreaded Casa Amor stage, which saw Tommy ditch Emily.
It was recently claimed that Tommy and Lucy had "already split", just days after leaving the villa.
Viewers speculated that he had heard the infamous "voice note" which was recently leaked online.
Shortly before they were dumped, a leaked voice note appeared online which was allegedly made by Lucy before going on Love Island - although this has not been confirmed by her.
The 37-second recording lays bare a plot to couple up with popular Tommy as a surefire way to make the final.
Fans now believe Tommy has heard this voice note, which was revealed exclusively by The Sun.
They think the fact he doesn't mention Lucy at all in his latest TikTok where he talks about his Love Island experience, means the pair have parted ways.
Fans are speculating it's because he must have heard the recording.
Taking to the comments under his video, one person said: "He didn't mention Lucy so I reckon he's heard the voice note and wasn't pleased."
Another added: "You would've won if it wasn't for Lucy's voice note."
This person chimed in: "Lucy just used you I hope you've listened to the voice note, shame things didn't work out."

Alex Jones reveals she was completely unaware about complaints made against her The One Show co-host Jermaine Jenas

Alex Jones has revealed she was completely unaware about complaints made against her The One Show co-host Jermaine Jenas. Jenas, 42, was taken off the show after being fired by the BBC for sending inappropriate messages to female employees during his time at the corporation. The sexting scandal also cost Jenas his 13-year marriage after his wife Ellie, the mother of three of his four children, announced the pair were divorcing earlier in March. Someone who was oblivious to the complaints was Welsh presenter Alex, who used to host The One Show alongside Jenas. Speaking to The Big Issue, she said: 'I very much take people on face value. But with JJ I didn't know what was going on. I thought he was taking extended leave. 'If that was my daughter and she felt uncomfortable with someone's behaviour, I hope that whatever company she was working for would deal with it swiftly as well.' Jenas, who also has a daughter from a previous relationship, was sacked by the BBC in August, which resulted in him losing his hosting gig on The One Show and punditry work on both Match of the Day and 5 Live. The BBC confirmed their decision while he was on air guest hosting talkSPORT's drive time show. His agency MC Saatchi also cut ties with him before he brought in a crisis PR team to handle the aftermath of the scandal. Jenas revealed he lied to wife Ellie during a family holiday in order to sneak off and take a Zoom call with BBC bosses after news of his X-rated messages was first revealed within the broadcaster. And he also told how she had kicked him out of their £1million home in Hertfordshire after he admitted sending inappropriate messages to two female colleagues. Speaking to the Filthy Rellas podcast last month, Jenas claimed historical problems within the relationship also contributed to the break up. He said: 'The reality is, me and my wife haven't split up because I sent some text messages to some people at work. 'We had issues for a period of time, it all comes to a head and you eventually make a decision to say, as adults, we will be better parents for our children if we just remain friends and that's it. 'We had 16 amazing years together, me and my wife, how many people last that long? Sixteen years. Ups and downs. She caught the wrong end of my [playing] career, bless her.' During an interview with The Sun shortly after he was sacked by the BBC, Jenas admitted his wife was 'raging' over the incident. He said: 'We've not really spoken properly since. She's absolutely raging.' Jenas continued: 'It's just about the children right now. It's the school holidays and they're trapped in the house because photographers are outside my house. 'They're like, 'What's going on, Daddy?'. It's tough.' He added: 'I've got to take responsibility and I've apologised to all of them. 'I don't know what to say about that, to be honest with you. It's just hard at home for the kids right now. My wife's a real one 'My wife is solid and she's amazing. She is kind. She just needs some time.' Jenas bombarded a woman working at the World Cup in Qatar two years ago with unwanted messages asking 'You want my boy now?' During the interview, Jenas insisted Ellie should not fear more women coming out of the woodwork with tales of further inappropriate behaviour. However, weeks after the scandal broke, MailOnline revealed Jenas bombarded a woman working at the World Cup in Qatar two years ago with unwanted messages asking 'You want my boy now?' before sending her a picture of his manhood, despite her making clear she was not interested in his advances. The following week, we also told how he repeatedly pestered a junior make-up artist for sex - and when she told him she had a boyfriend replied: 'Just come to my dressing room early and I'll [perform a sex act] on u… that's not cheating.' That incident took place when he was working for BT Sport in 2017, where he was a rising star as a football pundit.

Married At First Sight 2026's sauciest bride risks major wardrobe malfunction as she marries Aussie reality star in beach ceremony

Married At First Sight has started filming across Sydney - and it seems we've found the sauciest bride of the 2026 season. Gia Fleur was exclusively pictured by Daily Mail Australia on Monday wearing a very racy wedding ensemble as she married Aussie reality star Scott McCristal in a romantic beach ceremony. The bride put on a busty display in a mermaid tail dress, which tightly hugged her figure as she wed the Million Dollar Island alum on Maroubra Beach. The frock boasted long sleeves, an accentuated waist and a high slit up the leg, which saw Gia risk a major wardrobe malfunction as she walked down the aisle. However, it was the frilly, bow-emblazoned garter wrapped around her left leg that raised eyebrows. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Gia finished off the look by sweeping up her golden locks into a bun and wore a jewel-encrusted tiara. Gia's groom was smitten as she came down the aisle. The couple were all smiles as they wed in front of a picturesque beach scene. Scott could be seen leaning back in fits of laughter after one point as they held hands at the altar. The new couple exchanged rings and then a kiss as they said 'I do' for MAFS fans across the globe. Later on, Scott and Gia enjoyed a loved-up photo shoot on the beach, where they could be seen striking a variety of poses. One picture saw the couple in a passionate embrace, with Gia's garter-laden leg lifted up by her husband. Later, Scott carried his new bride across the beach. While the newest season of MAFS has kicked off with a bang, according to reports, it nearly didn't happen. Daily Mail Australia previously revealed the 2026 season almost didn't make it to air after last-minute cast dropouts forced producers to scramble behind the scenes. 'They had multiple people pull out and had to move quickly to fill those spots,' one well-placed source revealed. But the end result? A bold, diverse cast of professionals, creatives, and big personalities - with producers tipping this to be one of the 'most explosive seasons yet.' 'Some couples are hitting it off immediately, others are absolute mismatches - the drama is already building,' one insider said.
