Pentagon Withdraws Military Top Brass From Aspen Security Forum Citing Anti-Trump Bias
The Aspen Security Forum, hosted annually by the Aspen Institute, is considered one of the nation's premier gatherings on national security
The US Department of Defence has abruptly pulled approximately a dozen high-ranking military officials from participating in this week's Aspen Security Forum, citing the Aspen Institute's alleged left-leaning political orientation and its inclusion of vocal critics of President Donald Trump, according to a report by Just The News.
Despite being listed on the event's agenda, senior defence leaders, including the Secretary of the Navy and the Commander of the US Indo-Pacific Command, will no longer attend the event, a source confirmed to Just The News.
Pentagon press secretary Kingsley Wilson told the news website: 'The Department of Defence has no interest in legitimizing an organization that has invited former officials who have been the architects of chaos abroad and failure at home."
The Aspen Security Forum, hosted annually by the Aspen Institute — often dubbed 'the mountain retreat for the liberal elite" — is considered one of the nation's premier gatherings on national security and foreign policy. However, the Pentagon's decision signals growing tensions between the Biden administration and the Trump-aligned Department of Defence.
Wilson further added, 'They are antithetical to the America First values of this administration. Senior representatives of the Department of Defence will no longer be participating in an event that promotes the evil of globalism, disdain for our great country, and hatred for the President of the United States."
Republican Senator John Cornyn of Texas, who was also scheduled to speak at the forum, has similarly pulled out.
At the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit this weekend, Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth echoed the administration's stance, stating the DoD under past Democratic leadership had been 'distracted by experiments in left-wing ideology."
The Pentagon's withdrawal is being interpreted as a symbolic rejection of institutions perceived as hostile to Trump's political platform, and a broader statement on where this administration intends to draw its ideological lines.

The Epstein web: Return of the man who knew too much
Robert Maxwell's mysterious death at sea in 1991—with his body found floating near the Canary Islands—and later revelations of his cooperation with Israeli intelligence are part of the shadow legacy Ghislaine inherited. That she embedded herself so deeply into the Anglo-American elite without scrutiny for so long speaks not only to privilege, but to protection. Prince Andrew's entanglement is no longer a matter of speculation. His now-settled civil case with Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of abusing her as a minor, came with a multi-million-dollar payout and a permanently-damaged reputation. The photograph of him with Giuffre, Maxwell in the background, remains iconic—not just for what it shows, but for how it was denied. The prince's association with Epstein, even after Epstein's first conviction, and the disastrous BBC interview that followed, confirmed what many already feared: that the British establishment had, at best, turned a blind eye. At worst, it was complicit. Numerous observers, including former intelligence professionals, have long speculated that Epstein was a facilitator—creating honeypots, filming the powerful, and quietly handing over the results to interested parties. Former Israeli officer Ari Ben-Menashe and American whistleblowers have suggested Epstein's operation bore the hallmarks of classic compromat used for control or blackmail. Why else would such a man be funded, protected, and even after conviction be welcomed by the world's most influential people? Epstein's death in a high-security New York prison in 2019, officially ruled a suicide, though surveillance footage vanished and the guards reportedly slept through it, only deepened suspicions. It was the perfect ending for a man who knew too much. At first glance, Trump appears as just another name in Epstein's contact list who famously called Epstein 'a terrific guy' in 2002. But since Epstein's death, many within Trump's base have seized on the scandal as proof of a global elite network rotten to its core—a real-world echo of what the QAnon, the far-right conspiracy movement, claims about a secret cabal of child-abusing elites that Trump was chosen to expose. While neither Clinton nor Trump has faced charges over Epstein's activities, their documented ties continue to raise uncomfortable questions. To many on the right, Epstein became symbolic of a decadent ruling class—jet-setting, untouchable and predatory. The fact that Epstein's ties to Clinton were longer and deeper than to Trump has not gone unnoticed. Nor has the fact that Epstein's prosecution accelerated under the Trump-era department of justice.

Trump Says 'Left Lunatics' Won't Be Satisfied Even If Court Approves Epstein File Release
Last Updated: Trump made the remarks while confirming that he has asked the US Justice Department to release all grand jury testimony concerning Epstein US President Donald Trump on Saturday said that even if the courts approve the release of grand jury testimony related to Jeffrey Epstein, 'nothing will be good enough for the troublemakers and radical left lunatics." Trump made the remarks while confirming that he has asked the US Justice Department to release all grand jury testimony concerning Epstein, but 'subject to court approval." He posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, 'I have asked the Justice Department to release all Grand Jury testimony with respect to Jeffrey Epstein, subject only to Court Approval. With that being said, and even if the Court gave its full and unwavering approval, nothing will be good enough for the troublemakers and radical left lunatics making the request. It will always be more, more, more. MAGA!" On Friday, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche filed motions urging the court to release the grand jury transcripts in Epstein's case, as well as those in the case against convicted British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell. This followed Trump's direct order to the Justice Department to make the files public. The Trump administration has faced controversy since the Justice Department announced last week that it would not release any more evidence from Epstein's investigation. Trump's demand came after The Wall Street Journal reported on a sexually suggestive letter, allegedly bearing Trump's name, included in a 2003 album for Epstein's 50th birthday. Trump denied writing the letter, calling it 'false, malicious, and defamatory." The Justice Department said it will work with prosecutors in New York to make necessary redactions to protect victims and sensitive personal information before releasing the transcripts. Grand jury transcripts, which contain witness testimony and evidence presented by prosecutors, are rarely made public unless required by a court. Even with the Justice Department's support, it may take weeks or months of legal proceedings to decide what can be released while safeguarding witnesses and victim details.
