Wild party, erotic art exhibition The Dirty Show returns to Detroit for 2 weekends
For a quarter of a century, North America's largest erotic art exhibition has enticed visitors from around the world for a party of epic proportions. While it began as a 'happening' in an office above a Royal Oak bump shop, the multimedia event now consistently attracts capacity crowds to its home of recent years, Detroit's 50,000-square-foot Russell Industrial Center.
With over 300 juried paintings, sculptures, photos, films, and other media, immersive installations, raucous stage performances, and live demonstrations, Dirty remains a provocative, exciting, and inclusive place for attendees to explore and interact.
In honor of its 'smut-tacular' Silver Jubilee, the event will celebrate by presenting work from all of its past headliner artists in an ensemble event, which includes contributions from artists such as John Waters, H.R. Giger, Niagara, Clive Barker, Glenn Barr, Bunny Yeager, and more.
Other attractions include the Chappell Roan-inspired Pink Pony Club, which will transform into disco-era leather bar The Daddyhole during the second weekend; the Cinerotic Film Festival, which channels the vintage 'art house' erotic film experience; Japanese shibari binding/rope play; and numerous burlesque, striptease and sex-centric performers.
'You see a lot of happy faces here,' said Dirty Show founder and organizer Jerry Vile. 'It's awesome, a room full of happy people. Part of that is that your brain releases dopamine when your eyes connect with anything erotic; when you have over 300 pieces of erotic art, a lot of those are going to release dopamine. And then, we have skimpy-dressed stage performers, go-go dancers in cages, and above all, the patrons themselves – lucky for us.
'Patrons of The Dirty Show like to let their freak flags fly, and walk around in leather, rubber, drag, whatever they're into. It's one safe space for them to publicly reveal their inner kink. It's fun.'

As an example, Vile referenced perhaps the Show's most famous (or infamous?) annual attendee, fetish model Foxy Menagerie Verre – who sports the largest breast implants in North America and one of the biggest implanted pairs in the world.
'Foxy doesn't do anything onstage, but just to have her show up as a person walking through our door, instead of seeing a picture of her on the internet and trying to get her to appear, is priceless. Anybody who sees that is going to have some kind of opinion. You know, I don't think she can even drive? There's a lot of exhibitionism in our crowd, but I think she might be the most extreme example of a Dirty Show patron.'
Verre said she spends all year waiting for the event to come back around.
'I always plan out what I'm going to wear for each one, because it's one of the events that I really look forward to,' she told the Free Press. 'I have something custom-made for it by a guy in Turkey, and it's a big deal for me to be able to see everyone there. I love seeing the different people when I go, and I always love catching up with Jerry Vile. He's a sweetheart. And I also love seeing the artists' work and touching base with them.
'Each year, they do different events, different games, have different booths set up. So you never really know what changes are going to be made, or what to expect. It's one show that always keeps you on your toes.'
The Dirty Show runs from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14 and 15, and Feb. 21 and 22. Tickets are $50 in advance and can be purchased at dirtyshow.org. Ages 21 and up only. The event takes place at the Russell Exhibition Center, 1600 Clay St., Detroit.

I've been to bachelorette parties in spots from Hawaii to Las Vegas, but a Canadian city has been the best destination so far
I've been invited to more bachelorette parties than I can count. They've all been a lot of fun and have given me an excuse to visit fabulous destinations around the world. I've been to Cabo, Napa, Puerto Rico, Palm Springs, India, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and more to celebrate dear friends who were getting married. I'm typically excited whenever a new invitation comes in, but when I found out one of my friends was having her bachelorette in Toronto, I was a little disappointed. I didn't think it would be an exciting destination for a girls' trip. However, to my pleasant surprise, I was wrong. The Canadian city completely blew me away. Toronto is vibrant and brimming with personality, art, and culture To match the city's creative energy, local artists' works were displayed throughout the hotel. The lobby even had giant dandelion sculptures hanging from the ceilings. The hotel was also located within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and cafés. I was blown away by the food offerings in Toronto. Some of my favorite meals were the French fare at Café Boulud, al dente pasta and traditional Italian pizza at Spaccio West Terroni, Latin-inspired cuisine at Baro, and Michelin-starred dining at Alobar Yorkville. The activities in the city felt diverse and fun Although lovely accommodations and great food are already pluses, the diverse activities available around Toronto really exceeded my expectations. For daredevils, CN Tower's EdgeWalk is a must. There's nothing quite like walking around an outdoor platform that's 116 stories above the city. It's an epic view, a great bonding experience, and a one-of-a-kind photo op. If you're traveling with adventurous wine enthusiasts, I recommend the helicopter tour with Niagara Helicopters Limited, which flies over Niagara Falls and ends at a winery. We also enjoyed a segway tour of the Distillery District, which was bustling with boutiques, cafés, breweries, and eateries. For a more low-key afternoon, Toronto also has several noteworthy museums, but I can only speak to the unique experience at the Bata Shoe Museum. It houses antique shoes from regions around the world, imaginative futuristic kicks, and unique artist exhibitions. My absolute favorite part of the trip was renting dresses at The Fitzroy for a night at the opera. The Fitzroy sectioned off an area of the store and provided us with bubbly and sweet treats during the dress fittings. I never expected a Canadian city to become my favorite bachelorette destination I'll fully admit that I was wrong about Toronto. It ended up being an incredible destination for a bachelorette party — and would probably be great for any old girls' trip, too. I had experiences that would be considered out of the ordinary on any trip, like helicopter tours and a night at the opera. Plus, every meal was uniquely delicious. The diverse activities, luxe accommodations, and memorable meals made Toronto my favorite bachelorette-party destination to date.

Chappell Roan Earns Her First No. 1 Debut
Chappell Roan's new single "The Subway" was one of the most highly anticipated pop releases of the year. Now that it's here, fans have wasted no time turning it into a global success. The track opens in high positions on charts in several countries and races to No. 1 in the United Kingdom, where the Grammy winner has quickly become one of the most exciting newcomers in recent memory. Chappell Roan's Second Career No. 1 "The Subway" launches atop the Official Singles chart. That tally ranks the most popular tunes in the U.K. regardless of genre, length, or language, and it uses a methodology that blends both sales and streaming activity. Roan earns her second career No. 1 on the main songs tally across the Atlantic as "The Subway" debuts. She previously ruled the ranking with "Pink Pony Club," which spent two weeks at No. 1 earlier in 2025. Seven U.K. Hits, Five Top 10s Throughout her career, Roan has pushed seven tracks to the Official Singles chart, and all but two have reached the top 10. A pair of cuts narrowly missed the summit, as both "Good Luck, Babe!" — her first charting smash — and "The Giver," her most recent release before "The Subway," stalled at No. 2. 'Pink Pony Club' Took Six Months to Hit No. 1 Unlike "The Subway," "Pink Pony Club" took a long route to No. 1 on the Official Singles chart. The track, featured on her debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, entered the tally in September 2024. It didn't reach the top until March 2025, after Roan turned the fan favorite into a global smash via a high-profile performance at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Chappell Roan Also Leads the Streaming List As "The Subway" starts at No. 1 on the Official Singles chart, it also lands on three other U.K. rankings. The track rules the Official Streaming roster, while it opens at No. 3 on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads tallies.

NOAH FW25 "Return to Analog" Is About Clothes & Memories That Last
NOAHhas unveiled its FW25 campaign 'Return to Analog,' featuring a new lineup of Americana/Prep-inspired silhouettes photographed by Paul Hempstead. The overarching theme is described by the founder,Brendon Babenzien, as a nostalgic call for the return of the tactile experience: 'things you can hold, feel, and pass down for future generations to experience.' The brand isn't just talking about the return of vinyl or taking film photographs, but also appreciating the quality and sentiment behind our daily dress. 'In a world obsessed with speed and convenience, there's something radical about the slow and thoughtful,' Babenzien added. With vintage books, wooden pencils, typewriters, and wired telephones in hand, the campaign emphasizes the analog inspirations that inform this season's silhouettes. NOAH's recurring styles, including indigo denim, tweed suiting, shirting, and basic tees, are cut in classic shapes and standard fits for a timeless appeal. Patterns and textures instantly evoke the brand's Prep facets, including woven herringbone, Oxford pinstripes, argyle knit, and classic tartans. Standing out are elegant outerwear moments, including a sleek black leather jacket and a hefty brown wool coat that could surely become future heirlooms. The range's knitwear is diverse, manifesting in traditional forms like chunky fisherman cables and heavy rib knits, as well as contemporary takes like technicolor patchwork and jewel-toned solid hues. Elsewhere, touches like playful typographic tees, a rugby shirt, pastel cargo shorts, and gym uniform sweats balance the more refined silhouettes with a casual mood. NOAH's conscious ethos is built into its DNA, often emphasizing the quality standard and provenance of its materials in its collections. 'Every fabric we choose, every construction decision we make it's all rooted in the belief that quality matters,' Babenzien said. The NOAH FW25 collection is set for release on August 14 at the brand'swebstoreand physical locations.
