They dropped out of League Two for the first time in 2017, and are famously supported by Jeff Stelling.
Rangers have two friendlies planned for their pre-season schedule so far.
The first will take place at Ibrox against Club Brugge on Sunday, July 6, while the second, also on home soil, will be against Middlesbrough on Saturday, July 26.
Tickets for the match in Hartlepool are priced at £12 for adults, and £7 for concessions. They can be bought here.

Doomed 105-year-old football club could go out of business in days

Morecambe Football Club faces imminent closure, with prospective buyers stating it will go out of business on Monday without immediate action. Panjab Warriors, the prospective buyers, have urged current owner Jason Whittingham to sign the deal to allow the takeover to proceed and save the club. The club's academy is set to cease operations by the end of the week, and the first team has already halted activities due to lapsed insurance. Morecambe's membership with the National League has been suspended, and the club remains under embargo ahead of the upcoming season. Panjab Warriors, supported by a minority shareholders action group, are ready to complete the acquisition to preserve the club's 105-year legacy.

Dor Turgeman transfer chase heats up as Rangers face serious competition from MLS and Europe

But the Israel international certainly isn't short of interested parties. He netted 15 goals in 32 games to fire Maccabi Tel Aviv to title glory. The Light Blues have been watching Turgeman, capped eight times for his country, for some time but no deal has happened. Less than two weeks ago, Maccabi Tel Aviv boss Zarko Lazetic claimed it would take a FAIRYTALE offer for the club to consider selling Turgeman. The conflict between Israel and Iran has complicated matters further with Maccabi Tel Aviv extra keen to hold on to their top Israeli stars due to the decreasing likelihood of being able to attract foreign players. But Rangers are far from the only interested party. MLS Insider Tom Bogert is reporting that New England Revolution are interested in signing Turgeman. Fellow MLS outfit Portland Timbers are also credited with an interest. Turgeman would be an attractive signing for MLS clubs as they could bring him in on an U22 Initiative deal due to his age. That sort of contract allows MLS sides to sign up to three players aged 22 or under to lucrative deals - but at a reduced budget charge. Major Mikey Moore Rangers loan doubts & 'strange situation' at Celtic + transfer news Go Ballistic The report also notes that there is 'a lot of competition' from European clubs for Turgeman. Rangers' interest in signing a striker could depend a lot on the futures of Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers. Morocco international Igamane has been the subject of plenty of interest but despite reports of him being close to a move to Lille, the French club have yet to firm up their interest. Dessers had looked likely to join AEK Athens earlier in the summer but it has all gone quiet on that front. Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

The shot-stopper, 26, is aiming to shut out Ayr in Friday night's league opener. He said: 'I started as an estate agent about ten months ago. 'It's been a massive change to my life, and it's been tough after being full-time my whole career. 'But a bit of structure gives me something to work towards and it's an experience I can use after football. 'If I decide I don't want to go down the coaching route then I've got something else there. 'I thought why not give it a go while I've got the opportunity and time to do it. So I've put a bit of effort into it. 'Hopefully in the future I'll be able to get back full-time, but I've always had a keen interest in property.' McAdams will be up against his old club and added: 'Ayr are a really well-run club just like Arbroath. 'You can see that with the chairman building a new stand there and improving the training ground. Billy Dodds on returning to Rangers under Barry Ferguson, defeating Mourinho & ending Celtic Park hoodoo 'I enjoyed my time at Ayr. 'I met some great people and played with some players I'm still close with. I've got fond memories of the club. 'When I left there was a contract on the table, but I wasn't playing towards the end. 'And if I had chosen to stay there I probably wouldn't have the two league titles I have now. 'We had a fantastic season last year, but we're under no illusions it's going to be another difficult campaign. 'The quality in the Championship is huge and it's shaping up to be really competitive again.' Have YOU got a point for Kris Boyd?
