Ab6iX to release 10th EP later this month

Ab6ix announced Friday that it is planning to return on Aug. 25 with its tenth EP, 'Upside Down.' The new album follows about ten months after the group's previous EP, 'Born Like This.' While putting together the new mini album, the four members held the 'BE:6IX' fan concert in Seoul in mid-June. For the two-day event, they rearranged their repertoire — which included 'Nvked' from the ninth EP — for a band format. Ab6ix debuted in 2019 with the EP 'B:Complete' and was initially made up of five members, including main vocalist Lee Dae-whi and main dancer Park Woo-jin. The two were finalists in the second season of 'Produce 101' and part of the resulting project band, Wanna One. In 2020, Lim Youngmin left the team after apologizing for driving under the influence.

Ive drops teaser for 4th EP ‘Ive Secret'

Ive confirmed it will be returning Aug. 25 via agency Starship Entertainment on Thursday. A teaser image released for its fourth EP, 'Ive Secret,' showed each of the six members holding objects behind their backs, including a dangling handgun, a bottle of perfume and a pig with wings. The accompanying phrase, ''XOXZ' Coming Soon,' hinted at the title of the mini album's lead single. The new release follows about seven months after Ive's third EP, 'Ive Empathy,' which earned the group a combined 15 trophies from television music chart shows with prerelease 'Rebel Heart' and main track 'Attitude.' The album also became its fifth consecutive million-seller. Ive also dropped its third EP in Japan, 'Be Alright,' on Tuesday, which quickly claimed a top spot on Oricon's Daily Album Ranking. The bandmates left for Los Angeles, US on Thursday to join the lineup for KCON LA 2025.

Documentary celebrates power of global fandom A new documentary film spotlighting the global BTS fandom, known as Army, has been unveiled. The feature-length film 'BTS ARMY: Forever We Are Young' runs for one week only from Wednesday through Aug. 5 at theaters worldwide. Co-directed by Peabody Award-winning filmmaker Grace Lee and K-pop scholar and director Patty Ahn, the documentary takes a serious and heartfelt look at the passion, solidarity and cultural impact of Army, a fandom of over 90 million people around the globe. The film was recorded over the course of three years across Seoul, Los Angeles, Texas and Mexico City. It captures the personal stories of fans from different corners of the world, including a Seoul-based dance instructor who teaches BTS choreography, attendees of fan-driven concerts ReactorCon and members of self-organized global fan communities since BTS's debut in 2013. Through these narratives, the documentary explores the deeper meaning and collective power of fan communities. The film premiered to a standing ovation at the South by Southwest festival in March, receiving widespread acclaim from both fans and critics.
