"Wicked: For Good" Trailer Is Finally Here
It is time to venture back to the Emerald City. Universal Pictures has finally unveiled the official trailer for 'Wicked: For Good,' the second part of 2024's hit Broadway movie adaptation.
'Wicked: For Good' brings back Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande as Elphaba and Glinda, as well as Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz, Ethan Slater as Boq Woodsman, Marissa Bode as Nessarose Thropp and Bowen Yang as Pfannee.
Jon M. Chu directed both films with screenplays by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox.
Per the official logline, the second movie — 'set in the Land of Oz, before and after Dorothy Gale's arrival from Kansas' — will 'cover the events of the musical's second act, following Elphaba and Glinda's friendship being put to the test as they embrace their new respective identities as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch of the North, and how the consequences of their actions will change all of Oz forever.'
Last year's 'Wicked' was a massive hit and grossed $756 million at the worldwide box office, becoming the highest-grossing Broadway adaptation ever and Universal's third biggest movie of all time.
The movie received 10 Academy Award nominations, including best picture, lead actress for Erivo, supporting actress for Grande, costume design, editing, makeup and hairstyling, production design, original score, sound and visual effects.
It also won for costume design, making Paul Tazewell the first Black man to win the category, plus production design.
'Wicked: For Good' is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 21.

Thailand Selects Cannes Prize Winner "A Useful Ghost" for Oscar Race
Yara Sameh Thailand has selected 'A Useful Ghost' (Pee Chai Dai Ka) as its submission for the international feature film category at the 98th Academy Awards. Directed by debutant Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke, 'A Useful Ghost' follows March, who is mourning his wife Nat after she dies from dust pollution. When her spirit returns by possessing a vacuum cleaner, their unconventional human-ghost relationship faces resistance from his family. To prove her worth and their love, Nat offers to cleanse a factory haunted by the ghost of a worker whose death shut down operations. The film ingeniously reimagines the ghost story as a satirical romantic comedy, a deliberate departure from Thailand's renowned horror cinema traditions. It debuted at the Cannes Critics' Week earlier this year, where it won the grand prize. The film addresses pressing environmental concerns in Thailand, particularly dust pollution, which has become a severe issue over the past decade. 'We have dust pollution every winter. People will start complaining about the dust quality in the neighborhood, especially in Bangkok and in the north,' Boonbunchachoke said in an interview with Variety . The film's Thai title carries a dual meaning in local slang, where 'dust' also refers to 'people with no power.' The selection committee, composed of industry professionals including producers, directors, cinema operators, film distributors and media representatives, chose the title from a field of 57 eligible Thai films released between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025. Thailand has been submitting to the category since 1984 but has yet to secure a nomination. Last year's entry, Pat Boonnitipat's hit film 'How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies,' was shortlisted. The Oscar international feature shortlist will be announced on December 16 and the final five nominees will be announced on January 22. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated
