Denver police investigate 3 shootings, 1 homicide between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning
The first of the four shootings occurred around 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the 2300 block of South Sherman Street, near the intersection of East Iliff Avenue just west of Harvard Gulch Park.
One person was taken to the hospital in that shooting with unknown injuries and police don't yet have information about the suspect or suspects.
Around midnight, DPD posted on social media about another shooting in the 4600 block of West 46th Avenue on the south side of Berkeley Lake Park.
One person was taken to the hospital as a result of that shooting and DPD doesn't know the extent of their injuries. Investigators are working to get information about the suspect or suspects in that shooting.
Police are also investigating a homicide that occurred in the 8400 block of East Hampden Avenue just west of South Yosemite Street. DPD tweeted about that homicide around 2:20 a.m.
Police didn't say the nature of the death -- whether it was a shooting, stabbing, or something else -- but said investigators are working to determine what happened. One person was taken to the hospital, where they later died.
Then at 2:35 a.m., DPD tweeted about another shooting, this one in the 5900 block of North Dunkirk Street, north of Green Valley Ranch and south of Denver International Airport.
One person was taken to the hospital, and, again, police said they didn't know the extent of that person's injuries or any information about the suspect or suspects.
CBS News Colorado reached out to DPD for more information about these shootings and broader shooting and homicide trends Wednesday morning but did not immediately receive a response.

Ed Henry's rape accuser Jennifer Eckhart arrested, accused of attacking her boyfriend
Former Fox News producer Jennifer Eckhart was arrested and accused of attacking her boyfriend for ending their relationship, according to a report. Eckhart, who recently settled a sexual assault lawsuit against former Fox News anchor Ed Henry, was booked by Florida's Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday on suspicion of battery. The podcaster 'struck, screamed, and became combative' toward Thomas Beasley after he tried to end the relationship, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Daily Mail. According to the Mail, the affidavit said Beasley caught the alleged altercation on film, which showed Eckhart 'yelling, striking Beasley, grabbing his shirt and ripping it, and demanding he delete the video.' The 34-year-old was released on recognizance without having to post bail. Jennifer Eckhart was booked by Florida's Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Wednesday on suspicion of battery. In June Eckhart settled her 2020 lawsuit against Ed Henry, in which she accused him of rape. Henry, who was fired from Fox News in July 2020, denied the allegations. In her ruling, U.S. District Judge Ronnie Abrams said there was 'no direct evidence that Fox News was aware of Henry's alleged harassment of Eckhart before it occurred.' Additionally, Abrams agreed with Fox's legal team that 'no reasonable jury' would find the network liable for preventing 'Henry from harming Eckhart.' 'This matter has been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties, and the parties are moving on with their lives,' Henry's attorney said in a statement when the settlement was reached. Man dead after fatally shooting woman in her driveway in apparent murder-suicide, Miami-Dade Sheriff says
The names of the two people who died in an apparent murder-suicide were released on Saturday by the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office. According to MDSO, on Friday, deputies responded to the area of Northwest 10th Lane & Northwest 127th Path after reports of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they confirmed a woman was dead in her driveway. MDSO identified the woman as 29-year-old Ana Beatriz Santo Rodriguez. Shortly after, the City of Sweetwater Police Department responded to a crash in the area of Southwest 107th Avenue & 3rd Street. It was later confirmed that the two incidents were connected, according to a police statement. Police said when officers arrived at the scene, there was a man in the driver's seat of a black SUV with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The man, 48-year-old Liev Canals, was taken to a local hospital and later died. Police did not confirm what the relationship was between Rodriguez and Canals. This is a developing story.
