The Gilded Age Season 3: Is George Russell alive?
The biggest mystery for the Season 3 finale was George Russell's fate after he was shot by a mysterious shooter in the penultimate. While George's condition was rather critical, Dr Kirkland was conveniently visiting Peggy Scott at the Van-Rhijn house and saved the robber baron's life just in time. While the mystery of George's shotting remained unsolved in the finale, he will live for another season as of now.
Live Events
Directed by Salli Richardson-Whitfield and written by Julian Fellowes and Sonja Warfield, the hour pushes the Russells toward a separation even as Newport throws its most opulent ball. The episode stars Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, Louisa Jacobson, Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Denée Benton, Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, Blake Ritson, Nathan Lane, Kelley Curran, and Sullivan Jones.

George Russell's fate and the fallout, explained
George nearly lost his railroad company and fortune this season after overleveraging his businesses and being unable to make a few crucial deals. But everyone's favorite robber baron came out on top with a few new enemies, one of whom arranges for him to be shot at the end of Episode 7.
After the shocking gunshot that left George's fate hanging in the balance at the end of Episode 7, he is rushed to the Russell home — injured but still breathing. Bertha, determined to control the narrative, orders that the attack remain a secret. Bannister (Simon Jones) quickly suggests calling on Dr. William Kirkland, conveniently located just across the street.

Unfazed by his race, Bertha agrees, and William hurries over to help, joined by Marian, who refuses to leave the family's side. Armed with only basic tools and no medication, William performs a tense, high-stakes operation, skillfully extracting the bullet and stabilizing George's condition. George pulls through, but the recovery triggers a blunt reckoning with Bertha over Gladys's arranged marriage to the Duke of Buckingham.
He tells Bertha he can't continue as before and departs for New York without her, making clear that the problem is trust, not love. The Gilded Age answers the life-or-death question early, then pivots to consequences for the family.

Ankit Raizada on heavy rainfall in Mumbai; says ‘With Ganpati Bappa arriving soon, I'm hopeful the days ahead will be brighter'

Highlighting the safety advisories issued by the authorities, he added, 'The residents are advised to remain indoors and avoid going into low-lying or flood-prone areas. As per media reports red warning has also been issued for some areas. So it's best to be responsible and stay back home and skip going out if not necessary.' Expressing concern over the vulnerable during this season, the actor pointed out that it's not just people who suffer. 'Due to heavy waterlogging in several regions. Not everyone are privileged to escape,' he said, drawing attention to the plight of stray animals. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Redefine Your Future with a Top Online MBA SRM Online Enquire Now Undo He further explained, 'Many stray animals, especially dogs and cats, face immense challenges during this time. They lack proper shelter and struggle to find food. As responsible individuals, it is our duty to care for these animals. We need to provide them temporary shelters, arrange for food, water, and if necessary medical supplies too. In situations where we are unable to alleviate the suffering of a stray animal, reaching out to the appropriate authorities or looking for animal helplines or nearby NGOs and animal shelters for assistance. ' Ankit concluded with an appeal for compassion, stating, 'Let's keep in mind that stray animals deserve the same love and care we provide to our pets. This rainy season, let's extend a helping hand and make a difference in their lives.'
