Kaia Gerber's Dating History Includes Pete Davidson, Jacob Elordi, and More
Model Kaia Gerber has been in the spotlight since childhood, being the daughter of super model Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber and in brand campaigns since she was a child. When she was still a teenager in 2019, she told British Vogue that her early career kept her too busy for relationships.
'When I'm working, I don't have the energy to even flirt with anyone. I'm sorry, I just can't,' Gerber said. 'But I'm not losing hope in all love forever.'
In 2021, while talking to Vogue, Gerber expanded on how her romantic life had developed.
'I found myself in situations where I was, like, I actually don't have the life experience that I need to handle this,' she said of dating. 'You know, I was doing fashion month, but I was so young I had kissed, like, only one person. I had never had a high school sweetheart or anything.'
Gerber has frequently been linked to older men, and explained that while working in fashion, she was mostly surrounded by older people.
'I got put in situations where one day I'd wake up and be like, 'How did I get here? I have no idea what I'm doing, and I need help,'' she explained. 'And being able to ask for that help was amazing. That's what real growing up means, not being afraid to ask.'
In her process of discovery, Gerber has been in a number of high-profile relationships with other stars. Here's everything to know about Kaia Gerber's dating history so far.
Model Wellington Grant was linked to Gerber in early 2019, but they never confirmed if they were dating. In February, they were seen several times in New York, including leaving the Mercer Hotel together on Valentine's Day. They later were spotted in Milan and Paris.
They were seen together in March that year at a Stella McCartney show during Fashion Week. Since neither model ever admitted to being in a relationship, there's no known reason for why it may have fizzled out.
In late 2019, the then 18-year-old model was reportedly dating the then 25-year-old comedian Pete Davidson. Page Six stated that they likely met while at an Alexander Wang show in June 2019, where Davidson made his fashion debut and Gerber also modeled. Davidson had been dating actress Margaret Qualley, but they split sometime in August.
By November, sources told E! that Gerber and Davidson were official.
'Kaia and Pete are definitely in a romantic relationship,' one insider stated. 'They have been friends for a while now and run in the same friend circle, but became romantic recently. They started hanging out alone more often after meeting up in NYC in October. Kaia expressed she loved Pete's personality. She thinks he is charming and is very intrigued.'
Davidson was living in New York City, but had been visiting Gerber in Malibu.
'They have been texting a lot this past month and are definitely seeing where it goes,' the source said.
For his birthday on November 18, Gerber brought the Saturday Night Live star a birthday cake. She also brought him to a Miami wedding as her date that month. They broke up soon after, and Davidson spoke in February 2020 about how he needed to go to rehab while they were dating.
'She's very young, and I'm fucking going through a lot, and it was before I went to rehab,' Davidson said. 'It's just like, she should be having fun. She shouldn't have to worry about some dude that just has issues and shit. She should be enjoying her work."
He added, 'It just wasn't the right place or the right time at all. Her parents were really helpful and stuff, so they're cool.'
Cindy Crawford told Vogue in an interview that they tried to be supportive of Gerber dating Davidson while conscious it might not work out.
'So many people have difficult teen years with their kids, and we thought we'd kind of skated through that period,' Crawford said. 'And a little later, it hit us in ways we didn't necessarily expect. But you just have to let your kids fly and be there to pick them up if they fall.'
In September 2020, Gerber was linked to Euphoria actor Jacob Elordi after they were seen together on both coasts and during a Los Cabos trip that month with her parents.
'Jacob is very sweet to Kaia,' a source told People in November. 'They are always very loving and cute together. It's obvious that Cindy and Rande approve of Jacob, too. They spend a lot of time together.'
In her June 2021 interview with Vogue, Gerber said of her relationship, 'Being able to be with someone I trust, where we don't want anything from each other, having a safe, steady relationship like that, has really opened my eyes to the possibilities of love and what it feels like to love without conditions. Lust is touching other people or wanting them, but love is really seeing someone.'
In September 2021, they walked the red carpet at the opening gala for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
They broke up a month later. In early 2022, while being interviewed by Men's Health, Elordi had nothing but kind words for his former flame.
'She handles herself wonderfully publicly,' he explained. 'And I've learned so much from her about how to handle it, how to deal with it, and just kind of be whatever about it, you know?'
In December 2021, Gerber was linked to actor Austin Butler, but they weren't red carpet official until May 2022, when they were photographed at the 2022 Met Gala.
A few weeks later, they were seen kissing at the Cannes premiere of his film Elvis.
Butler won a Golden Globe for the film in January 2023, and Gerber was by his side. She joined him again in March at the annual Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
They continued to date throughout the year and into 2024. They were last seen in New York City in August of that year.
In January 2025, TMZ reported that they'd broken up before the new year, with a source saying, 'The relationship just simply ran its course after a good three years together.'
In early 2025, a source told People that Gerber was dating actor Lewis Pullman, the 32-year-old son of actor Bill Pullman. They were seen together on his birthday at Los Angeles restaurant Salazar.
'They've been spending time together the last few weeks,' the source said. 'They're a cute couple and very low-key.'
Another source speaking with Us Weekly said they'd actually been dating for several months.
'Kaia and Lewis have actually been together for a while now,' the insider explained. 'They started dating in early December [2024]. They kept it under wraps until the news of her and Austin's split came out. Kaia and Austin have been broken up since October.'
The source added, 'In early December, Kaia and Lewis started seriously hanging out and were seen all around L.A., but mostly on the east side. Kaia would make sure to be in a hat to try and be unnoticed, but they would be at their favorite restaurants, bars and clubs, holding hands and showing PDA. They were just frequenting crowds that didn't really know them.'
The new couple has 'known each other for a while now,' and 'run in the same circle and have similar friend groups, and that's how they were introduced,' the insider went on, saying their connection is 'very natural and relaxed.'
They continued, 'Kaia likes that this relationship feels low-pressure and that Lewis is a very low-key guy...They have a lot of chemistry and a very easygoing relationship. She's really happy and feels like she can be herself. There's no pressure to be an A-list couple like there was in her past relationships.'

Megan Thee Stallion's New Hair Color is (Literally) Red Hot
Getty Images It's officially mid-July, and for many of us, that means hot, hot, hot weather, potentially even hitting the triple digits. For Megan Thee Stallion, it also means a hot, hot, hot hair color! And is there a hotter color than red? After seeing Megan's latest video, I'm gonna go ahead and say no. The rapper's bright cherry red hair made an appearance on her TikTok, where she posted a cute video of herself set to some cheeky audio. And when I say red, I mean red. Her hair is a vivid true scarlet, Crayola marker red—not auburn, not cherry cola, not copper, not strawberry—and worn long and pin-straight with bangs. "This morning I woke up beautiful again and craving attention, so I decided to make some b*tches mad from scratch," said the voiceover audio as Megan played with her hair and showed off a matching set of red nails and a red hat. 'I then posted a selfie of me looking pretty and minding my business.' (It's not actually Megan talking; it appears to be trending audio of someone mimicking Nara Smith's videos and vocal cadence.) The cherry-colored hair is a wig, but Megan did have a redhead era earlier this year, debuting a trendy shade of copper in January for Paris Fashion Week. She had fun with the color for awhile, but went back to dark hair to walk the runway for her swimwear line, Hot Girl Summer. (An equally bright bubblegum pink wig did make a brief appearance too.) Celebs have truly embraced all shades of red in 2025, including Megan's pal Keke Palmer, who has been all about copper, auburn, and strawberry hues, and SZA, who performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show with rich, deep auburn curls. If you've been feeling the urge to go red, there's really no better time than the hottest days of summer! We need Happy Gilmore now more than ever
Hide your hockey sticks because Happy Gilmore 2 finally hits Netflix this week, and the return of Adam Sandler's anger-prone golfer can't come quick enough. Released back in 1996, the first Happy Gilmore arrived amid a much different - and arguably much more varied - pop-culture landscape. That year packed a lot in. It gave us action classics like Independence Day, Twister and Tom Cruise's very first Mission: Impossible adventure nestled alongside the latter's Oscar-winning Jerry Maguire, bleak heavy-hitter Fargo and teary The English Patient. Still, amid all of the "you had me at hello"s, cows stuck in whirlwinds and gratuitous use of still clunky CGI effects, we also got a hearty dose of comedy to help balance things out. Happy Gilmore was one of those comedies. Landing in February, it marked the mainstream arrival of a burgeoning comedy superstar. Fresh from an all-too-short stint on Saturday Night Live, Sandler had already given us Billy Madison just a year earlier. This goofy comedy about a rich hotel heir forced to go back to high school was a hit, harnessing an equally adolescent fanbase that eagerly followed Sandler from TV to the big screen. However, it wasn't until he found himself on the golfing green wrestling with a one-eyed alligator that this shouty comic truly kick-started his movie career. The next few years would cement Sandler's status as the comedian for a slacker generation. Like Jim Carrey before him, he delivered a string of hits in an incredibly short time-frame, with quotable classics The Wedding Singer, The Waterboy, Big Daddy, and Little Nicky all released in the space of just four years. Happy Gilmore is more than just a goofy comedy That said, it was Happy Gilmore that started things off. Here, Sandler played the film's titular hero: a wannabe ice hockey star who's convinced to use his all-powerful swing on a golf course instead of a skating rink. His goal? To win a pro-tournament's big cash prize and save his grandma's house. Unfortunately, preppy pro-golfer and full-time d-bag Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald) isn't having any of it. Filled with gratuitous visual gags, kinetic frat boy humour and an indelibly disarming silliness, the film marked Sandler out as a star almost from the get go. While Billy Madison had managed to doubled its $10million budget at the box office, Happy Gilmore almost quadrupled it, proving that Sandler was a bankable break-out hit. As if that wasn't enough, its inability to take itself seriously placed it in stark contrast to the rest of that year's cinema offerings. Don't fancy watching Will Smith punch an alien in its gooey face? See Happy wallop The Price is Right host Bob Barker instead. Not in the mood to watch a human leg being fed into a wood chipper? All Happy battles is a smirking mini-golf clown. Jerry Maguire's stressy work struggles just too much to swallow after a long day? The idea of Shooter McGavin eating pieces of s*** for breakfast is a much more appealing offer. Its timing in pop-culture history placed it perfectly alongside the arrival of a game changer that upended the medium and helped it bury itself deep into the psyche of a generation, too. Just a year prior, DVDs hit the market, allowing comedy fans to hit play in high-def whenever their fancies were tickled or they just needed a bit of a lift. The end result helped Happy Gilmore become a well-worn and reliable feel-good classic and a much-needed escape pod during difficult times. Its power has withstood the test of time as well. In 2020, some fans even used Happy's humour to help tap, tap tap them through the pain of lockdown isolation. With all this in mind, there's no wonder that Happy Gilmore 2 swiftly became one of Netflix's most hotly anticipated releases of 2025. Will Happy Gilmore 2 inspire more movie comedies? Cut to 29 years later, and pop culture finds itself in a much different place. Despite newsfeeds pushing us to our daily emotional limits and doomscrolling dominating whatever remaining free time we have left at our disposal, movies are noticeably bereft of levity. If audiences want morality lessons dished out by superheroes in blue and red tights, we're in luck. If they fancy Brexit-isolation fables mirrored back to us in bloody zombie form, then the multiplex is the place to be. But what happens when we just want to tune in, drop out and forget about life's daily stresses for a couple of hours? This collective need for a good laugh is a trend that's increasingly making itself known. Indulge in a quick social search about Akiva Schaffer's reboot of The Naked Gun, and you'll see plenty of fans praising humour's long-awaited - and much-needed - return to the big screen. With this in mind, Happy Gilmore's impending return isn't just good news for movie fans - it's a restorative step forward for audiences in general. Here's hoping others follow in his footsteps. Happy Gilmore 2 is released on Netflix on Friday, 25 July 2025.
