Kendrick Lamar had Toronto hating Drake as much as everyone else

So, imagine getting in a fight with someone in the most public way possible. Everyone knows you're beefing. It's been you vs. the other guy for a little more than a year now. People have picked sides and hunkered down.
You'd like to think that the folks from your hometown would pick your side, right? Especially if, throughout your entire career, you've gone out of your way to show them love whenever you could. Of course, when the moment comes, you'd like to think they love you back.
That certainly isn't what happened for Drake last night.
THEY NOT LIKE US: The Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, explained
Kendrick Lamar brought the GNX Tour, aka the Drake Hatefest, to Toronto on Thursday night. He had every person in the Rogers Centre screaming every word of Not Like Us with every fiber of their being. It was a pure display of hatred that I'm not sure I've ever seen before.
WARNING: There is some NSFW language in this video
This isn't supposed to happen. Drake is supposed to be Toronto's golden boy. This isn't supposed to happen.
This would be like Drake coming to LA and having the crowd curse Kendrick until they couldn't anymore. The crowd has so much fun cracking down on their hometown hero that they actually asked for an encore once it was all over and done with.
You could probably make a credible argument that Kendrick Lamar is, in fact, milking this Drake thing. The beef started more than a year ago and it's been over for a while. Really, it was over as soon as Drake got lawyers involved. If it wasn't over then, it was definitely over at the Super Bowl. If it wasn't over at the Super Bowl, it's definitely over now after the Toronto takeover.
But I think the only people who'd argue that Kendrick is doing too much with this are the people who have never had enemies in their lives. And, honestly, good for those people! Having enemies sucks. But let me tell you something. If you ever get one-up on your enemy? You never let them live it down. Especially when your one-up is this big.
The truth is, Kendrick is never going to stop performing Not Like Us. And it honestly doesn't seem like his fans want him to at this point.
Sorry, Drake. The party is still going at your expense, buddy. Even at the crib.
Is this the end for Russ?
The Russell Westbrook era in Denver is over. The future Hall of Famer declined his player option for next season and is officially a free agent, according to NBA Insider Marc Stein.

Which team should the former MVP go to? pic.twitter.com/2KaN5cYeHJ — Yahoo Sports (@YahooSports) June 13, 2025
That begs the question about what might be next for Russ in his NBA career. I'll say the thing so you don't have to: What should be next for Russ is probably retirement.
It's pretty clear Westbrook believes he has something left in the tank. I don't think that's farfetched, either. The dude was playing important minutes for a playoff team this season. Before it went bad in Denver, things were also pretty good. He was a solid contributor at times.
But, man. Things have ended in chaos at every stop for the last few years. The Lakers. The Clippers. The Nuggets. All bad. I feel like that's a sign.
There's nothing wrong with hanging it up. Westbrook is a first-ballot Hall of Famer — there's no question about it. He was the second player in NBA history to average a triple-double, he's been a league MVP, he's been to the NBA Finals and is unquestionably one of the most consequential players of his time. You can't talk about this era of NBA basketball without talking about Russell Westbrook.
But his prime is way behind him. And it feels like the further we get away from it, the more his legacy gets ever-so-slightly tarnished.
He probably won't do it, but hanging it up feels like the best option right now.
Mya Lesnar is definitely Brock Lesnar's kid
Mya Lesnar effortlessly secured herself a second NCAA championship on Thursday in the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Christian D'Andrea has the details:
"Mya Lesnar didn't follow in her father's footsteps despite a burgeoning women's wrestling scene at the college level. Instead, she used her family's farmhand strength to carve a championship path in track and field -- specifically, the shot put. After beginning her college career at Arizona State, she transferred to Colorado State in 2022. That move helped unlock her potential. She won a national indoor championship earlier this year, then doubled up in the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships Thursday."
It only took her a single throw to secure the title.

Photo Friday: Happy birthday, Grimace!
This is a photo from Grimace's birthday party at a McDonald's in Chicago. First of all, didn't know Grimace had a birthday. Second, I didn't know we cared about Grimace's birthday enough to throw them a birthday party.
But what I really want you to lock in on is the dude in the Mets jersey in the bottom left corner of this one. I guess the obsession never stopped.

MGK Gifts His Daughter Casie a New Car at MGK Day: ‘Don't Drive Like Me'
Some people's dream car is a Lamborghini, others may want a Maybach, but MGK's daughter, Casie Baker, had her eye on an Acura. MGK Day in Cleveland wasn't just all about the artist (formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly) on Sunday (Aug. 10), as Kells surprised Casie with her dream car, an Acura TLX, just a couple of weeks after celebrating her 16th birthday in July. Before she hopped behind the driver's seat, MGK had one special rule for Casie to follow: Don't drive like the musician. 'What's the No. 1 rule?' he asked, to which Casie swiftly replied, 'Don't drive like your dad.' MGK nodded in approval and said, 'Exactly — don't drive like me.' All that's left for Casie is to pass her upcoming driving test to secure a license. But the teen wasn't the only member of the family to receive a surprise on Sunday. At halftime of the Celebrity Shootout basketball game, MGK was presented with a guitar featuring a portrait his face that will forever live in the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. Taylor Swift just gave her longest interview ever. Here's what we learned
Taylor Swift is back in the spotlight for the first time since wrapping up her record-breaking Eras Tour last year, and the internet is losing its mind. The pop superstar made her podcast debut on Wednesday, Aug. 13, for an episode of 'New Heights,' hosted by her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and his brother, retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. 'This podcast got me a boyfriend ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app about two years ago,' Swift quipped, referring to the football player shooting his shot on the show after attending an Eras Tour show in Kansas City. During the nearly two hour-long episode — the Grammy winner's longest interview to date — Swift chatted with the Kelce brothers about everything from her first Chiefs game to post-tour hobbies like sewing, baking and watching football. But for her fans tuning in around the globe, it was what she revealed about her forthcoming studio album, 'The Life of a Showgirl,' that was most exhilarating. Due out Oct. 3, Swift also unveiled her 12th studio album's art and tracklist. Streaming live on YouTube on Wednesday, the episode drew more than 1 million viewers — enough to briefly crash the feed — and set a record for most concurrent views on the platform for a podcast. The story behind how Taylor Swift secured her masters After wrapping up the Eras Tour, the singer said that she and her team decided to approach the private equity firm Shamrock Capital, which owned her masters at the time, about if they'd be willing to sell. 'I'm in the business of human emotion. I would so much rather lead heart-first in something like this, rather than send lawyers or management in a big crew,' she explained. So she deployed her family: 'I sent my mom and my brother, who I work with, to L.A.' Their mission was successful, she confirmed in May, and Swift was able to purchase the rights to her first six albums. She got teary-eyed opening up about the process for the first time on 'New Heights.' 'It's a couple months after the Super Bowl, I'm in Kansas City and I get a call from my mom. … She's like, 'You got your music,'' Swift recalled. 'I just very dramatically hit the floor for real. Honestly started bawling my eyes out, just weeping.' She said she immediately went to tell Travis, who was in the other room playing video games. 'I started crying too,' the Super Bowl champ chimed in. 'You know I'm a crier.' 'The Life of a Showgirl' was written during the Eras Tour During her days off in between three-and-a-half hour concert performances, Swift said she would meet up with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback to work on the new record. She previously worked with the two on '1989,' 'Reputation' and 'Red.' 'I would do like three shows in a row, I'd have three days off, I'd fly to Sweden,' she said, noting that she exclusively made the record in the Scandinavian country. 'I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating.' She previously wrote and released her 11th studio album, 'The Tortured Poets Department,' while also on the Eras Tour. The new album reflects the joy in her life 'My main goals were melodies that were so infectious that you're almost angry at it, and lyrics that are just as vivid but crisp and focused and completely intentional,' she said. She added that she and her collaborators specially spoke about preserving the storytelling elements of 2020's 'Folklore. Travis Kelce, who said he has already listened to the full album, teased that the new record is packed with 'upbeat, fun pop.' 'This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour,' Swift said. 'It just comes from like the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life, and so that effervescence has come through on this record.' 'The Life of a Showgirl' features only one guest artist Near the end of the interview, Swift showed off the front and back cover of her forthcoming record, reading out the 12-song tracklist as the Kelce brothers reacted. The big surprise: 'Espresso' singer Sabrina Carpenter is featured on the closing title track. The former Disney star previously opened for select dates of Swift's Eras Tour. Other 'The Life of a Showgirl' song titles include 'Elizabeth Taylor,' 'Father Figure' and 'CANCELLED!' There will be no bonus tracks Swifties know that the singer-songwriter has a penchant for treating fans with a variety of surprise material, whether it be the vault tracks off her re-recorded albums or the 31-song edition of 'The Tortured Poets Department,' titled 'The Anthology.' This time around, however, there will be no bonus tracks. 'I tend to love to write lots and lots of music, so it's a temptation to release lots of music,' she admitted. But with 'The Life of a Showgirl', Swift said she 'wanted to do an album that was so focused on quality and on the theme and everything fitting together like a perfect puzzle.' Taylor Swift is in her Sourdough Era Now that her tour is over, Swift is enjoying some rare downtime and rediscovering her hobbies. 'The sourdough's taken over my life in a huge way. I'm really talking about bread 60% of the time,' Swift said. 'There are sourdough blogs. There's a whole community of us.' She added that she's also been sewing baby clothes and blankets for Jason's young children. NFL players and pop stars aren't that different 'On paper, we actually kind of have a very similar job,' Swift said of her and Travis' careers. 'Our job is to entertain people for three-plus hours in NFL stadiums. When I'm there, it's called a dressing room; when Travis is there, it's called a locker room.' She and Travis bonded over their post-game/post-show rituals, with her beau joking that Swift may even do more recovery prep than him.
