Report: More HGTV shows cancelled

Daily Mail16-07-2025
HGTV is said to have axed Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa's The Flipping El Moussas, as well as Christina Haack 's Christina on the Coast as it continues its cancellation spree . According to reports, both shows were not renewed by the network.
'Tarek brings the flip knowledge and Heather brings an eye for high-end real estate. It's all about family as The Flipping El Moussas work together, learn together and grow together.' HGTV fans have been left devastated by the news of The Flipping El Moussas being shelved. Commenting on Tarek's latest Instagram post, one said: 'I'm beyond angry with HGTV not bringing back your show. We need you guys.'
Another wrote: 'I just read that your flipping show got canceled! Nooooo! I hate HGTV.' A third suggested that they 'start your own network!' Meanwhile, Christina on the Coast originally launched in May 2019 and recently concluded its sixth series just two months ago. It will not be returning to television screens.
The show followed real estate and flipping expert Christina as she helped clients transform their outdated properties into high-end homes in Southern California. Christina's other show on the network, Christina in the Country, aired its second season in November 2024. It is not yet known whether it will return for a third inning. Despite HGTV axing both Christina on the Coast and The Flipping El Moussas, it is reported that The Flip Off has been picked up for a second season.
In The Flip Off, exes Christina, Tarek and Heather as they each attempt to find, buy, renovate and flip a house for the biggest financial gain. At the time of writing, neither Christina nor Tarek and Heather have commented on the reports of their respective shows being shelved. Daily Mail has contacted HGTV for comment.
These are just two cancellations are the latest to go in a relentless bloodbath at the network, with HGTV also axing Bargain Block, Married to Real Estate, Farmhouse Fixer, Izzy Does It, and Battle on the Beach. The sudden cancellations have reportedly sent shockwaves through the channel's fandom, and left employees of several shows fearing for their jobs . 'Decisions are still being made,' an insider who works directly with programming told Daily Mail earlier this month. 'It sucks for everyone involved but that's the TV business. Everyone understands that. Cable networks are struggling now, and we all have to make smart decisions.'
Farmhouse Fixer host Jonathan Knight confirmed that his show, co-presented by Kristina Crestin, had been axed after three seasons. 'A lot of you have been asking about the future of Farmhouse Fixer,' he said. 'I am sad to say HGTV has decided not to move forward with another season. 'While I'm still processing the reasons that led to their decision, Kristina and I are so grateful for all your support over the past three seasons.
Television has been so incredibly fun for us.' It was a surprise move by the network, given that former New Kids on the Block singer Knight is one of the most recognizable stars on the HGTV roster. 'He's well-known for sure,' said the network insider, 'but there are hosts on our shows who are more the face of the network. We're not getting rid of [Hometown hosts] Ben and Erin Napier anytime soon.
They're probably the biggest stars we've got.' Despite the spate of cancellations, it was recently announced that John Cena is now executive producing a new series for the network: Junk or Jackpot. It will follow collectors who have filled their houses with unusual collectibles - miniature sets, action figures, antique dolls - and after assessing the value of the items, the show will help the collector decide whether to keep them or sell them in order to afford much-needed renovations. Queer Eye alum Bobby Berk will host the new show.

G Flip 'freaks out' Americans with Australian school tradition that no other country has: 'This has to be a lie'

G Flip has set the internet alight once again, with the singer dropping a 'bizarre' school tradition from Australia on unsuspecting Americans. The Aussie singer, who goes by they/them pronouns, has moved to the US after marrying Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause. Earlier this week, G Flip left Americans baffled after explaining the concept of 'meat raffle' prizes Down Under. Now, the musician, 31, has reflected on the use of pen licences in Australian schools. When students are around nine years old, in year three or four, they are handed an informal certificate that allows them to officially transition from writing with a pencil to a pen. It's believed to be a schooling rite of passage exclusive to Australian kids. 'I'm an Australian living in America and today I found out that Americans don't get their pen licence when they're a kid,' G Flip said in a TikTok video. 'So, in Australia, when you're eight or nine, you do a test to deem if you are ready to upgrade from a pencil to a pen. 'You've got to make sure it's all legible and your letters look great and then your teacher will grade you... and you will then get a certificate that says you can now use your pen, you've got your pen licence. 'Apparently, Americans, y'all don't get a pen licence and you're out here using pencils until you're in your teens. That's a lot of sharpening!' The video has since been viewed more than 1.5 million times, with comments divided between nostalgic Aussies and 'freaked out' Americans. 'As a primary school teacher, I can't tell you the joy it gives me to give a student their pen licence,' one wrote. 'Anyone else left handed and have their pen licence taken off them when they smudged the ink across the page?' another reflected. 'No pen licences is crazy. How do you know you are safe and ready to use a pen without one?' one more wrote. Then came the other side. 'This has to be a lie,' American singer Lauren Sanderson replied. 'No... this can't be real,' another echoed. Even G Flip's own wife was dumbfounded. 'This can not be true - you have never told me this,' Chrishell wrote. G Flip received a similar response when they covered the beloved pub and golf club tradition of winning a 'meat tray' in a raffle. 'I'm an Aussie who lives in America and I have an American wife... I think one of the funniest things to explain about Australian culture is that you can win a meat tray at the pub,' G Flip (born Georgia Flipo) said in the video. 'So you go to the pub and you can buy raffle tickets to win a meat tray - and you just win a tray of various uncooked meats like steaks, chops and sausages from the butcher, completely raw. You get to go home with a meat tray. 'And everyone I ever told that to who's American is like... "What the f***".'

Brooklyn Beckham is back in the kitchen as he whips up a carbonara in latest cooking video - after renewing his vows with wife Nicola Peltz amid family feud

Brooklyn Beckham was back in the kitchen on Thursday as he whipped up a carbonara in his latest cooking video - after renewing his vows with wife Nicola Peltz amid his ongoing family feud. The couple have been at the centre of a feud with the Beckham family that has pitted Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola, 30, against his parents and brothers. However, amid the ongoing drama, the pair proved they are stronger than ever on Saturday as they reaffirmed the promises they made to each other back in 2022. And after the celebrations he was enjoying a wholesome day at home as the aspiring chef made the delicious-looking pasta dish. He showed the full process of the recipe as he fried off his bacon, cooked the pasta and made the egg-based sauce. Brooklyn simply penned in the caption of his latest cooking video: 'Spaghetti carbonara xx.' However he was flooded with comments saying that he had burnt the bacon a little. They penned: 'As an Italian.. no. That cheek is burnt.', 'It seems a bit overcooked this guanciale...', 'you already know you burnt the bacon.' Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their wedding vows last weekend, three years after tying the knot. A source close to the couple confirmed the news to Daily Mail, stating: 'This is a moment to celebrate their love and commitment, and to create a meaningful memory together.' Brooklyn and Nicola have been together since October 2019, and announced their engagement in July 2020. They then tied the knot in a lavish wedding on April 9, 2022, at Nicola's family estate in Florida. Back in June, Brooklyn reflected on the day he proposed as he shared a gushing message to his wife on Instagram. Alongside a snap of himself kissing her cheek, he penned: 'It's been 5 years since I asked this beautiful woman to marry me xx best decision ever x I love you so much ❤️.' David and Victoria failed to wished their son and his wife a happy third wedding anniversary in April - or even 'liked' or commented on the happy couple's post about their milestone. In fact, none of the Beckham family publicly congratulated them, including Romeo and Cruz who Brooklyn is said to have fallen out with. Celebrating three years since they walked down the aisle, the couple posted a throwback photo from their wedding day. Brooklyn captioned the photo: 'Happy 3 year anniversary baby x I love you with all my heart x I'm so lucky I get to spend everyday with you and wake up to your beautiful face everyday you are my world x I love you so much Nicola xxxxxxx.' Meanwhile, Nicola's post - a similar caption to Brooklyn alongside her photos from their wedding day - also failed to prompt any congratulations from her in-laws. The once close-knit Beckham family has been thrown into turmoil in recent months, amid claims Brooklyn has become increasingly estranged from his famous parents after failing to attend any of his father 50th birthday celebrations in May. It was also revealed that Brooklyn and Nicola's Instagram accounts no longer follow his younger brothers in the latest family drama. However, Brooklyn's friends told Daily Mail that Cruz and Romeo have actually blocked them on the social media platform. This would make sense given that Brooklyn and Nicola are still following Victoria and David. David and Victoria have reportedly become resigned to the fact that they have become estranged from their beloved son after he failed to attend any of the football ace's 50th birthday celebrations last month. He also didn't wish either his mum Victoria or dad David a happy birthday on social media - an unusual move for the Beckhams, who are known for their loving posts. This is in stark contrast to a post Brooklyn shared recently for his father-in-law and wrote on a picture of himself and Nicola with the billionaire: 'Happy birthday Nelson x We love you.'
