STAMFORD, Conn. – April 9, 2025 – The top men's and women's high school basketball recruits in the United States, including A.J. Dybantsa and Aaliyah Chavez, headline NBC Sports' live coverage of the Nike Hoop Summit on USA Network and Peacock this Saturday, April 12, at 7 p.m. ET from Moda Center in Portland, Ore. One of the most prestigious events in high school basketball since its inception in 1995, this event features the best high school seniors in the U.S. against the best U19 international players in the world.
The pre-game show will start at 7 p.m. ET, with the women's game set to tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET. A bridge show between the two games will lead into the men's game at 10 p.m. ET. All programming will be live on both USA Network and Peacock.
This year's competition is expected to include a bevy of talent, with the U.S. men's roster featuring No. 2 overall recruit A.J. Dybantsa (BYU commit), No. 3 Cameron and twin brother No. 24 Cayden Boozer (both Duke) -- sons of two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer -- and No. 4 Nate Ament. The U.S. women's team features the top three recruits in Aaliyah Chavez (Oklahoma), Sienna Betts (UCLA), and Jasmine Davidson (USC). The international teams are expected to include Syracuse commit Kiyan Anthony, son of 10-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony, and No. 4 women's overall recruit Agot Makeer (South Carolina).
The Nike Hoop Summit has been a display of the next wave of top-tier NBA talent for decades, with six NBA MVPs, 42 NBA All-Stars, and over 100 NBA lottery picks having played in the game. Notable U.S. alumni include 2014 NBA MVP and 15-time NBA All-Star Kevin Durant (2006), 2004 NBA MVP and 15-time NBA All-Star Kevin Garnett (1995), 10-time NBA All-Star Anthony Davis (2011), and likely No. 1 overall pick in this year's NBA Draft, Cooper Flagg (2024). Prominent international alumni include 2007 NBA MVP and 14-time NBA All-Star Dirk Nowitzki (1998), three-time NBA MVP and 2023 NBA champion Nikola Jokic (2014), and four-time NBA champion Tony Parker (2000). The women's game, which began in 2023, has seen NCAA All-Americans such as Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo (2023) and reigning SEC Player of the Year Madison Booker (2024) compete.
NBC Sports' Noah Eagle will call both games alongside LaChina Robinson, a four-year member of the Wake Forest basketball team, for the women's game, and Robbie Hummel, a three-time First Team All-Big Ten selection at Purdue, for the men's game. Raiders legend Tim Brown names 1 rule he'd take from arena football and implement in NFL

Pro Football Hall of Famer Tim Brown played 16 years with the Raiders organization when the team was in Los Angeles and later in Oakland. He was a nine-time Pro Bowler and named to the All-1990s Team for his efforts with the Raiders and narrowly missed out on a Super Bowl title. Still, without the ring, he is one of the greatest receivers of all-time with 1,094 catches for 14,934 yards and 100 touchdowns. Brown now serves as the chairman and commissioner of The Arena League – an indoor football league featuring six teams and 7-on-7 football on the field. He appeared on "Up & Adams" on Tuesday and was asked which rule he would bring to the NFL from the arena game. "Getting rid of kickers," Brown told Adams. "We have no kicking in our league. Getting rid of kickers. I owned an (arena football team) years ago and kicking was the worst part of the game. Obviously, the poles were narrow, and it made it very difficult for those guys. "It really slowed the game down. It just wasn't what you want to see – you're talking about fast-paced games. Now we have a throw-off. These guys literally throw the ball and it's the best thing ever. I know it would never happen. I got a lot of friends who were kickers in the league. But it works. It makes for a very fun-paced, fast-paced, fun game and I think it's a beautiful thing." The NFL has certainly made a few rule changes around the kickoff, while the United Football League has taken away kicking when it comes to points after touchdowns. Any rule change in the league would need to be approved by 24 of the 32 owners. Follow Fox News Digital's sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

CBS Sports grades Texas A&M HC Bucky McMillan's 2025 roster

CBS Sports grades Texas A&M HC Bucky McMillan's 2025 roster Texas A&M's best coaching move in several years came this spring, as Athletic Director Trev Alberts took a gamble that has already paid off after hiring former Samford head coach Bucky McMillan to take over the basketball program after Buzz Williams departed for Maryland after six years at the helm. So far, McMillan has completely rebuilt his first 2025 roster, adding 12 players from the transfer portal, while his latest addition, Spanish guard Rubèn Domíguez, could be one of the most impactful players due to his vast international experience and elite 3-point shooting skillset. However, signing former Indiana forward Mackenzie Mgbako, shooting guard Rylan Griffen and Creighton transfer guard Pop Issacs deserved the headlines as potential stars who should lead the Aggies in several categories next season. With all this movement that has made a once-fringe NCAA Tournament team a potential contender during McMillan's inaugural season, CBS Sports's David Cobb provided his roster grades for every first-year head coach, and to no surprise, Texas A&M received an A- based on the talent and experience on the 2025 roster. Here's what Dodd had to say regarding his grade: "How would McMillan fare recruiting at a big-boy job after arriving from Samford with exactly zero high-major experience of any sort on his resume? The answer, as it turns out, is just fine. The Aggies have assembled a competitive roster highlighted by three top-80 transfers and plenty of outside shooting. Pop Isaacs (Creighton/Texas Tech) and Jacari Lane (North Alabama) are serious bucket-getters in the backcourt, while Rylan Griffen (Kansas/Alabama) and Mackenzie Mgbako (Indiana) can pop it from the wing." "The question will be whether the roster is deep enough for McMillan to employ the breakneck pace and deep rotation that defines "Buckyball." But his first wave is certainly not hurting for SEC-caliber talent, and the early June addition of 22-year old Spanish shooter Ruben Dominguez helps alleviate that concern." Ahead of his first season with Maryland, Buzz Williams' 2025 roster received a B+, while new Texas coach Arch Miller received the same grade. Dodd is 100% correct in questioning if A&M's roster is deep enough to master McMillan's intense system, but the shooting is there, and he still has two roster spots available to reach the 15-player roster maximum. Nobody on the Boston Celtics roster is untouchable

Nobody on the Boston Celtics roster is untouchable Nobody on the Boston Celtics roster is untouchable if the offer is right. Or at least that is the prevailing wisdom among some fans and analysts of the storied ball club as they gear up to make moves this offseason to reduce their historic cap hit and tax bill by moving some players into the cap structure of other NBA teams. The more likely candidates include the likes of veteran guard Jrue Holiday, Latvian big man Kristaps Porzingis, and reserve forward Sam Hauser due to their large deals for the latter two and movable salary for Hauser. But there have been rumbles of interest for point guard Derrick White, and speculation that even Jaylen Brown might be fair game. Could star forward Jayson Tatum be attainable if the right offer came along? The hosts of the CLNS Media "How Bout Them Celtics!" podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, took some time on a recent episode of their show to talk it over. Check it out below!
