‘HHVM' clears censor with U/A certificate, set for grand release on July 24
Directed by Jyothi Krisna in collaboration with Krish Jagarlamudi, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a visual spectacle set in the 17th-century Mughal era. The story revolves around Veera Mallu, a valiant outlaw played by Pawan Kalyan, who rises against imperial tyranny to uphold justice and dharma. The censor board is said to have been thoroughly impressed with the film's gripping narrative, powerful themes, and stunning visuals.
The film features a star-studded cast, with Bobby Deol playing the antagonist and performances from Nidhhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, and Nora Fatehi. Adding to the grandeur is the music score by Oscar-winning composer M.M. Keeravani, whose powerful background music promises to elevate the cinematic experience.
Following the trailer launch, anticipation has reached fever pitch. Trade circles are already projecting massive opening numbers, both in India and overseas. In fact, advance bookings in the USA have begun on a strong note, hinting at an impressive global start.
To fuel the excitement, the makers have scheduled a lavish pre-release event in Vizag on July 20, expected to draw huge crowds and generate further momentum ahead of the release.
Produced by A Dayakar Rao under the Mega Surya Production banner and presented by AM Rathnam, the film is gearing up for a multi-language release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, aiming to leave a pan-Indian mark.

‘Kathak is incomplete sans Lachchhu Maharaj's touch'
1 2 Lucknow: Birju Maharaj Kathak Sansthan paid tribute to Kathak legend Pandit Lacchu Maharaj through 'Guru Smaran', a commemorative event, at Rai Umanath Bali auditorium on Saturday. The evening commenced with students presenting 'guru ashtakam'. Chief guest Anil Rastogi, a veteran actor and senior dramatist, shared personal memories of his association with Lacchu Maharaj. "His insightful feedback on Darpan's theatrical productions was invaluable to me as a director," Rastogi recalled. Prof Mandavi Singh, who has researched the maestro's contribution, emphasised his significance to Kathak. "The art form is incomplete without Lacchu Maharaj's innovations, his influence was so profound that my guru, his student, mentioned him daily, inspired me to research on him," she said. The highlight of the evening was a documentary showcasing Lacchu Maharaj's illustrious journey, from his early training under his father and brother to his successful stint in Hindi film industry, where he choreographed iconic films like 'Mughal-e-Azam', 'Kala Pani' and 'Pakeezah', besides his photographs while teaching his students and several performances. BMKS president Kum Kum Dhar Choudhary, director Sanjay Kumar Singh and assistant director Tuhin Diwedi were present.

Sowmya Jaganmurthy is soaking in the appreciation of her film None of Her, which has been received well across the film festival circuit. Having recently won the Best Actress award at the Durgapur Film Festival, she opened up about what this win means to her, the emotional impact of her character, and the need for strong women-led stories in cinema today. Excerpts: 'WE HAD NO IDEA THAT NONE OF HER WOULD RESONATE' Ask her about her win, and the actress shares, 'It feels great. None of us had any idea that this film would go places and do so well. I have done a lot of films in the past, but I don't think I have ever gotten such recognition. It's deeply rewarding to be recognised for your craft.' 'THE RELATABILITY IS WHAT STRUCK WITH THE AUDIENCE' Though not theatrically released, None of Her is thriving on the film festival circuit. Sowmya credits the film's authenticity and emotional depth for its resonance. 'Each of the characters in the film is so real, they have so many flaws in them, they have so much goodness in them. They're not trying to be a superficial character. Everyone goes through their highs and lows, just like how life happens. That relatability is what has stuck with the audience,' she adds. I'm hoping that we will slowly open up to that idea. Women don't need to be just playing a mother or a sister. They can have depth, their characterisation. But in the Kannada industry, sadly, we're not exploring that aspect at all. '
