Sofia Richie-approved brand launches self tan that adapts to your skin tone and enhances perfume

Daily Mirror04-05-2025

Utan just launched a brand new self tan that not only automatically adapts to your skin tone, but maximises your perfume and gives an airbrushed effect ready for summer
With the summer approaching and even the promise of a mini heatwave heading our way, it's finally time to bare some skin and pull out your favourite summer clothes. If the winter has left you looking a little paler than you'd like, it might be time to pull out the fake tan to give yourself a little golden glow.
Although self tanner is a staple in many of our beauty routines, finding the right shade can be difficult – no one wants to end up with that dread green or orange undertone. That's why we're thrilled that Utan – whose freckle pen has been a go-to for both Sofia Richie and Hailey Bieber – has launched its brand new undertone matching self tan.
The Instant Tan Spray comes in two options, cool undertone and warm undertone, making sure you always get the most natural-looking finish for your skin. If you're not sure about your undertone, the simplest way is to check the colour of your veins (your wrist is usually the best place for this) – cool undertones will have blue-coloured veins, whilst warm undertones will have green coloured veins. If you find you have a mixture of both, you'll probably have a neutral undertone, which means you can combine the two for a bespoke shade that suits your skin.
As well as pairing perfectly with your skin tone, the new Instant Tan Spray is streak free and dries instantly, with no transfer onto clothes or bedding. It's also sweat and water resistant, making it perfect for some pre-holiday prep or when you know you'll be out and about all day long.
It also has the added bonus of smelling great. Whilst most self tans have that biscuity scent, the Instant Tan Spray has an organic vanilla and tonka fragrance which pairs perfectly with plenty of perfumes, helping to enhance and amplify your go-to perfume, rather than compete with it.
The Instant Tan Spray blends super well, and gives a sheer coverage that's similar to body makeup, with an airbrush finish. You can also instantly wash it off with simple soap and water, so no more scrubbing your skin raw trying to get off any stubborn patches.
To use it, you simply spray it directly onto a mitt or brush, then gently buff it into your skin in a circular motion. Leave it for 60 seconds to dry before getting dressed to prevent it wearing off onto your clothes. If you want some extra protection from transfer, a spritz of setting spray over the top works wonders.
If you often find it tricky nailing the right colour for your skin, we're also a fan of Bondi Sands Technocolor 1 Hour Express Self Tanning Foam. The express tan – which works its magic in one hour – comes in shades like emerald, sapphire, magenta and caramel to suit everything from very fair to olive or very dark skin tones.

Hailey Bieber drops 'therapy' bombshell alongside sizzling bikini snaps as husband Justin sparks new worries

Hailey Bieber gave fans a jolt on Sunday by posting a series of sizzling bikini snaps—possibly a move to shift attention from the growing concern surrounding her husband Justin Bieber. The 31-year-old pop star, who caused a stir earlier this week with a cryptic online rant, shared another troubling message to Instagram, writing that he was 'tired of transactional relationships.' His post follows a wave of fan anxiety sparked by his noticeable weight loss and a mysterious injury he revealed on Friday. Now, amid swirling rumors of marital tension, Hailey, 28, returned to Instagram shortly after Justin's post— sharing a carousel of glamorous photos that put her incredible physique on display. But in a surprising twist, she also appeared to hint at her own emotional state, captioning the post: 'lemon drop martinis and therapy all summer long.' In another shot, her perky derrière takes center stage as she appears to model a product patch from her Rhodes cosmetics line—which she sold for a staggering $1 billion In the photos, Hailey flaunts her flawless physique in a barely-there black two-piece as she strikes sultry poses on a sun-soaked beach, topping off the look with a stylish cowboy hat. In another shot, her perky derrière takes center stage as she appears to model a product patch from her Rhodes cosmetics line—which she sold for a staggering $1 billion. Yet another sizzling snap shows her showing off her curves while lounging in a pool, this time donning a sleek black bikini that leaves little to the imagination. The post comes almost a week after fans were outraged after a video resurfaced of Justin admitting he would have ditched his wife 'a long time ago' if it weren't for her looks. The supermodel was riding high following back-to-back victories — landing the cover of Vogue and selling her Rhode beauty brand for a staggering $1 billion. But instead of celebrating her wins, Justin reminded fans he once said Hailey would never make Vogue — and marked her $1 billion Rhode deal with a silent repost, offering no praise. Then, adding fuel to the fire of what fans already see as a rocky marriage, a 2020 clip went viral showing Justin in a car with Hailey, turning to her and dropping a jaw-dropping line. 'If you weren't so hot, I would've got rid of you a long time ago,' he says into the camera with a smile. The video resurfaced just as Hailey's Vogue interview was making headlines, where she opened up about working with a team to return to her pre-pregnancy body after welcoming their son Jack last year — a vulnerable moment now overshadowed by Justin's remark. Fans didn't hold back in the comments. 'Justin that is RUDE and DISGUSTING thing to say to your wife. You aren't hot btw. Disrespect a woman like that? Red flag,' one wrote. Another added, 'No words. That man would never see me again or he would never see the light of day again.' One Hailey fan posted, 'this is a crazy thing to say to your gf/fiance/wife (idk what they where at the time).' Yet another added simply: 'This is abuse.' Earlier this month, the Sorry hitmaker faced major backlash after admitting he once harshly told Hailey she'd never land a Vogue cover during an argument. That same day, as his wife celebrated achieving that very milestone, the embattled pop star sparked controversy with his Instagram post meant to congratulate her. His attempt at humor didn't sit well with fans, as he explained why the Vogue cover felt like a full-circle moment for their relationship. 'Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight. I told Hails that she would never be on the cover of Vogue. 'Yikes, I know, so mean. For some reason because I felt so disrespected I thought I gotta get even,' he explained. Justin continued: 'Think as we mature we realize that we're not helping anything by getting even... we're honestly just prolonging what we really want which is intimacy and connection.' He concluded his post by writing a message directly to Hailey, which read: 'So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn't get a Vogue cover cuz clearly I was sadly mistaken.' Many saw his caption as a backhanded compliment and something 'so unnecessary' to share with his more than 294 million Instagram followers. 'It's okay to have secrets Justin,' one commented. Another wrote: 'You couldn't waterboard this information out of me lmao.' The post comes almost a week after fans were outraged after a video resurfaced of Justin admitting he would have ditched his wife 'a long time ago' if it weren't for her looks 'Why would you write something like that... put that phone down please,' a third urged. Others criticized him for accidentally writing 'sadly mistaken' versus 'happily' mistaken, since he obviously meant to congratulate her on the achievement. A source later told that Justin and Hailey are often 'at each other's throats,' and the heated fight he mentioned was nothing unusual for the couple. So when Justin tried to show support again on Sunday by reposting news that Hailey's Rhode Beauty line is heading to Sephora, fans weren't exactly impressed. In the wake of Justin's confession, fans of his wife highlighted past incidents in which he had allegedly displayed 'unsupportive behavior' toward his wife to contextualize the Vogue controversy.

Justin Bieber sparks concern with series of worrying selfies as he refers to drugs in shock post

JUSTIN Bieber has left fans worried after sharing a string of intense new selfies and rambling messages, during which he dropped a reference to the hallucinogenic drug ketamine. On Saturday, the Lonely singer, 31, posted a flurry of posts to his Instagram. 9 9 9 9 The first carousel Justin could be seen lounging on a couch, it then switched to moody black and-white close-ups including a screenshot that appeared to show him on FaceTime with wife Hailey Bieber, 28. Alongside these shots, Justin added the captions: 'IM ACCEPTING THAT GOD FORGIVES ME THIS MORNING. "SO CAN I CAN FORGIVE MYSELF AND OTHERS TODAY. JOIN ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE,' followed by a thumbs-up emoji. In the second set, Justin's message took a more confrontational tone, with the father-of-one writing: 'U could point at my flaws. Or u could recognize ur own lil b***h.' Stunned fans raced to share their concern, with one person commenting, 'No way this is Justin,' accompanied by sobbing emojis. Another user joked: 'HAILEYYY HE GOT HIS PHONE AGAIN.' While someone else insisted: 'I strongly believe that Justin has NO social media team.' Other worried followers chimed in, saying it was 'like watching a train wreck and not being able to stop it.' However, not all comments were panicked, with some gushing they loved his approach. One fan wrote: 'This photos are like the ones you send to your friends. I love it,' and another person added, 'If they can't love you with your flaws then they don't deserve you when you're flawless,' followed by a red heart emoji. Things escalated further when Bieber took to his Instagram Stories, posting even more close-up shots. One slide featured a screenshot from an AI chat interface asking: 'Has ketamine been used to control people's emotions.' The AI reportedly answered: 'There is clear evidence that ketamine has been misused in certain law enforcement scenarios, particularly in ways that amount to chemical restraint or social control… "With disproportionate effects on Black individuals. This is a serious public health, legal and racial justice issue.' In another slide, Justin superimposed text over a photo of himself looking defeated: 'This is how I feel after people keep telling me theres more work to do after the ive given everything I have to give.' He followed up with: 'I dont think any of us can handle hearing 'You just gotta try a little harder and you will be like me.' It's not true. "I listened to those fools who told me to work harder. And there's no end to trying to earn ur spot in this life because I tried. U have everything u need right now.' On another snap, he wrote: 'We wanna make our life about work so bad. But this life is about God. Loving us so we can love eachother. Quit making ur life about work smh. God will always inspire u to wait to work hard. 'U think if you don't tell people to work hard that they won't. Stop playing God please.' Bieber went on: 'Conditioning. Will make u feel i didn't know what the f*** u knew.' This cryptic post was followed by another black-and-white selfie captioned: 'But I f***in always knew in my gut Jesus was always the answer to pain we are all facing. 'People still keep making me think If I work hard on myself I'll be better like them. But the harder I work on myself the more I think about myself. I though the point was to think about one another?' He finished with: 'The only thing that helps me to think about others to let go not try harder. Join me in letting go of not trying harder.' This follows mounting worry over Justin's mental health in recent weeks. Earlier, he posted a cryptic rant that many believe was aimed at Hailey. He wrote: 'Telling other humans they deserve something is like raising someone else's kids. Who are you to tell someone what someone should or shouldn't have?' He continued: 'That's not your place. God decides what we deserve.' Many speculated he was responding to online criticism directed at his wife, who had been told she 'deserves better.' It comes after Justin shared a since-deleted social-media post on Mother's Day, which was Hailey's first as Jack's mom, where he said 'Mother's Day sucks a*.'* He followed that up with another deleted post during Hailey's Vogue achievement, admitting he previously told her she would 'never' land a cover. Fans were incensed by his comments. One user blasted, 'Justin. You told Hailey she couldn't be on a cover of Vogue, isn't that telling her she can't have something?' Another person added: 'Take a break from social media, Justin.' While someone else pleaded, 'God told me you need a social media break.' It comes amid growing speculation over the couple's relationship. Earlier this month, Hailey's skincare line, Rhode, sold in a reported $1 billion acquisition, leading many to joke she should leave Justin now that she's independently successful. The couple have been married for nearly seven years after getting married in a lavish ceremony in 2018. Their first child, Jack, was born in August 2024. 9 9 9 9

Justin Bieber spotted solo on coffee run after sparking fears over dramatic weight loss and mysterious injury

Justin Bieber was spotted on a coffee run on Saturday morning by himself. The Peaches singer, 31, was seen talking on his Bluetooth headset while driving through the streets of Los Angeles with his coffee in hand. Justin wore a light green beanie for the outing. Noticeably absent from his errand was his wife Hailey Bieber, 28, and son Jack Blues, 10 months. The Baby singer has been facing personal struggles in recent weeks, including a cryptic Instagram rant that many believe was aimed at his wife. The outing comes after he stepped out in Hollywood looking significantly thinner and wearing an unexplained knee brace on one leg. The pop star took to Instagram on Tuesday with a bizarre post to share his thoughts about telling other people what they do or do not 'deserve.' 'Telling other humans they deserve something is like raising someone else's kids,' he wrote in his latest post. 'Who are you to tell someone what someone should or shouldn't have?' He balked at 'the audacity' and slammed his fans' unsolicited opinions: 'That's not your place. God decides what we deserve.' In response to his post, fans flooded his comments section with messages voicing concern, calling out his 'hypocrisy' and urging him to 'take a social media break.' Many fans seemed to believe he was responding to recent fan comments telling his wife Hailey Bieber, 28, that she 'deserves better' after his 'disrespectful' posts towards her. This comes after fans criticized his 'Mother's Day sucks a**' post on his wife's first Mother's Day since they welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues Bieber, in August 2024. They also pointed out that he recently admitted he previously told Hailey that she would 'never' land a Vogue cover in a since-deleted caption meant to congratulate his wife on that same, recent accomplishment. He shared the post to his Instagram Story accompanied by Lil Tecca's song OWA OWA, in which he raps about pleasuring his partner and 'making it clear to his significant other that his time and presence should not be taken for granted,' per Genius. The Baby singer has been having personal problems of late, which he took out in a rant on Instagram that seemed to target his wife. One fan commented on the Peaches singer's post and wrote: 'Justin. You told Hailey she couldn't be on a cover of Vogue, isn't that telling her she can't have something?' 'Didn't you just tell this girl she couldn't be on Vogue,' another fan wrote. Similar comments flooded his post. One person asked him: 'Brother didn't you tell your wife she could never be on the cover of Vogue???' Another person added, 'Take a break from social media, Justin.' 'I think you should leave God out of this and grow up,' one Instagram user penned. 'God told me you need a social media break,' another fan commented. Justin's recent post comes amid concern about not only his marriage but his mental wellbeing regarding his increasingly bizarre behavior. After Hailey's Rhode beauty brand was acquired in a $1 billion deal last week, many fans started telling her to divorce Justin now that she has found fame and fortune on her own. Though many of the posts were apparent jokes, the couple have been entangled in rumors of marital woes while Justin has been on the receiving end of substantial backlash. The pair have been married nearly seven years after they tied the knot in 2018. Last year, they welcomed their first child together, son Jack Blues Bieber, who will turn one in August.
