The Soul of a House, the Heart of a Mountain: The Forever House Opens at Customs House Museum
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn., July 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Artist Arline Mann will debut her first solo museum exhibition, The Forever House, at the Customs House Museum on August 7. This evocative collection of watercolor paintings is inspired by the Elder House, a historic 1920s estate atop Elder Mountain in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Through vibrant washes and intricate layering, Mann captures the essence of a Tennessee mountain home suspended in time, inviting viewers to share its mystique and joy.
The Elder House was built by George Saffarrans Elder, a prosperous businessman who acquired over 3,000 acres to create a family home. Over a century later, the house remains largely unchanged. When Mann and her husband, Bob Katz, became its stewards, the house's quiet grandeur and historical charm became Mann's muse.
'The Elder House isn't just a home; it's a storybook of craftsmanship and the spirit of those who lived there,' said Arline Mann. 'The reasons we chose the house – the wonder of it – are the same feelings I wanted to project in the paintings.'
Mann blends realism with reverie. Her focus on architectural details—arched windows, worn stone and timeless woodwork—becomes softened by translucent layers that evoke nostalgia and atmosphere. The Forever House is both a tribute to the past, and a personal reflection on the spaces we inhabit and the human history and beauty they hold.
Mann's artistic journey began after a distinguished career as a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. Driven by the same traits that fueled her career, she quickly transitioned into the art world, with her work exhibited at the National Arts Club and The Salmagundi Club in New York, as well as regionally at Chattanooga's River Gallery.
The Forever House marks a significant moment in Mann's artistic journey: a museum debut rooted in personal discovery, creative reinvention, and a deep reverence for place.

About the artist:
Arline Mann has a pinwheel-shaped career history – all her paths lead from the center, not anything that came before! Her first work years were in the New York theatre world, as an assistant to a Broadway/London producer and directing aspirant. Then came decades of corporate lawyering, most as a Managing Director founding and running the Global Employment Law Group at Goldman Sachs. And now as a serious watercolorist, looking forward to her first solo museum show this year.

Michael Mann's 'Heat 2' Faces Pushback From WB
Michael Mann's 1995 crime drama Heat has been considered one of his greatest cinematic achievements. In 2022, he followed up the film with a novel titled Heat 2 . Soon after, plans for a feature film adaptation were announced, though it looks like Heat 2 is now facing pushback from Warner Bros. This is unfortunate news as there seemed to be some promising developments regarding Heat 2 in recent years. According to insider Matt Belloni, however, things have been slowing down due to the high budget Mann is asking for. The original film was made for $60 million, and now for its sequel Mann is said to have asked for more than $200 million before bringing his price down to $170 million. Of course, $170 million is still an incredibly high figure, and that's what has Warner Bros. co-CEOs Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy in a bind. While the situation is complicated, especially because they'd love to greenlight Heat 2 , there could be a few possibilities that ensure the sequel happens. For starters, as further shared by Belloni via Puck, it looks like Warner Bros. is interested in partnering with Apple to fund the movie. This is certainly one positive development, though what would absolutely increase the likelihood of Heat 2 finally hitting the big screen would be the involvement of one major A-list star. According to the publication, Mann has had 'conversations' with Leonardo DiCaprio, and if DiCaprio were to get involved, it would almost certainly get Heat 2 the greenlight. It's still unclear who DiCaprio would play in the film, though a young version of McCauley is one of the most suspected parts. Either way, it would be exciting to see Mann and DiCaprio collaborate on the project, and it's easy to see why that could be an instrumental factor in getting the movie funded. It's worth noting that Mann's novel Heat 2 is both a prequel and sequel to his original hit. This makes for a rather ambitious storyline, one that will have to balance narratives in both the past and future, but Mann is certainly up for the challenge – especially if he can get his desired budget and stars attached. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding Heat 2 and the potential involvement of Apple or Leonardo DiCaprio as we have them. Whatever happens with the film project, at least fans will still have the excellent novel to see the full picture.

The music equipment and memorabilia segment is expected to record the highest CAGR in the entertainment content and goods market during the forecast period. This growth is primarily fueled by the increasing fan interest in collectible and experience-driven products that reflect personal affiliations with music artists and pop culture moments. Products such as autographed instruments, limited-edition gear, custom audio equipment, and stage-used memorabilia are gaining popularity among casual listeners and dedicated collectors, especially in regions with high disposable income and strong fandom communities. The rising trend of immersive fan engagement, including meet-and-greet bundles and backstage access kits bundled with memorabilia, further boosts the segmental growth. Platforms such as eBay, Amazon (US), and specialist portals, such as Rockabilia (US) and The Music Zoo (US), enable global access to rare artist-related merchandise. Technological advancements, including blockchain authentication and NFT-linked collectibles, also enhance the value proposition of memorabilia by ensuring provenance and exclusivity. Moreover, artists and labels are increasingly leveraging direct-to-consumer strategies through personalized storefronts and exclusive drops, reinforcing demand for physical, high-value goods. As fandom culture continues to evolve into a mainstream economic force, the music equipment and memorabilia segment is poised for sustained high growth, particularly in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. By licensed goods type, the licensed sportswear segment is estimated to account for the largest market share from 2025 to 2030. The licensed sportswear segment is projected to account for the largest share of the entertainment content and goods market for licensed goods for professional sports during the forecast period. This dominance is attributed to the widespread popularity of team-, league-, and athlete-branded clothing across a broad spectrum of consumer demographics. Licensed sportswear, including t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, and caps featuring team logos, player names, or league insignia, serves as both a fashion statement and a form of fan identity, driving sustained demand globally. Major sports organizations and IP holders, such as National Football League (NFL) (US), Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) (Switzerland), National Basketball Association (NBA)(US), and Premier League (UK), actively collaborate with leading fashion retailers and sportswear brands to launch co-branded collections, often in limited editions. The growth of e-commerce platforms, team merchandise stores, and dropship models has expanded consumer access to licensed clothing, strengthening market penetration even in Tier 2 and 3 cities. The rise of fast fashion and sports influencer-driven culture has further accelerated product turnover and trend responsiveness in the licensed sportswear segment. As consumers increasingly seek personalized and expressive merchandise, the licensed sportswear category remains a critical revenue stream for sports franchises and apparel partners, particularly in North America, Europe, and emerging Asian markets. Inquiry Before Buying: Asia Pacific is expected to account for the second-largest market share from 2025 to 2030. Asia Pacific is projected to hold the second-largest share in the entertainment content and goods industry during the forecast period, supported by a rapidly growing digital consumer base, rising disposable incomes, and expanding local entertainment ecosystems. Countries such as China, Japan, South Korea, and India are emerging as key demand hubs for entertainment content and branded goods, driven by the rising influence of regional music, anime, K-pop, films, and gaming franchises. The proliferation of OTT platforms like Tencent Video (China), Viu (Hong Kong), and Sony LIV (India) has led to increased consumption of digital content across languages and genres, which in turn, has stimulated the demand for related merchandise, including apparel, collectibles, and licensed accessories. Local and global entertainment companies capitalize on this trend by forming licensing agreements and rolling out exclusive product lines tailored to regional preferences. Moreover, the cultural impact of K-pop and anime has transcended borders, spurring fan-driven consumption in domestic and international markets. The presence of major manufacturers and e-commerce players, such as Rakuten (Japan) and Alibaba (China), facilitates broad merchandise distribution across urban and semi-urban centers. Asia Pacific's youthful population, high mobile penetration, and content localization strategies are expected to sustain market momentum and reinforce the region's position as a strategic growth engine. The report profiles key players in entertainment content and goods companies such as The Walt Disney Company (US), Universal Music Group N.V. (Netherlands), Warner Music Group Inc.
