It follows broader budget reductions across the channel, which also include halving Lorraine's airtime to 30 minutes and airing it only during school term times.
Now long-term Loose Women panel member Janet, 78, has hinted that "older" members of the team are safe, but younger newcomers are likely to face the chop.
"There are no plans to get rid of the older women despite of what some people have said," Janet insisted.
"In fact, the reserve is true.
"ITV actually put out a statement saying we are the valued members of the show because the audience totally relates to us."
Janet, who joined the panel in 2011, continued to Bella Magazine: "I think Loose Women has become a programme that is trusted by a lot of women because we talk about the issues that they are concerned about - whether it's female health, domestic violence, or how politicians don't really understand working women.
"I think the show has managed to connect women who wouldn't otherwise have a voice.
"And it's delivered with a lot of laughs because we don't take ourselves too seriously."
Last month it was revealed that producers had decided to drop the live studio audience next year as part of a series of cost-cutting changes to its daytime programming.
However, the change has prompted concern among production staff and presenters, including Ruth Langsford, Kaye Adams, Nadia Sawalha and Charlene White, who rely on audience reactions to shape the tone of the live discussions.
Loose Women star admits she is 'absolutely devastated' and 'can't get over it' as her friend and co-star has been axed in brutal ITV cutbacks
A source told MailOnline: "The panelists are really upset over the decision to axe the live studio audience from the show.
"It's what sets the series apart from the rest of ITV daytime and now there are massive fears that viewers will switch off completely.
"The only concern now is to cut costs and having a live studio audience can be expensive, with the added need for security and a warmup artist.
"Presenters already know how it feels to broadcast the show without an audience because that's what happened during the pandemic, and they all know it creates low mood and lack of atmosphere."
An ITV source told The Sun: "While there is a proposal to not have a studio audience for Loose Women from 2026, that doesn't necessarily mean that we'll never have a studio audience again, it just won't be in the same way as it is now.
"At this stage we are still exploring new ways of working and producing the show when we move to a new studio next year."
Last month, Kaye Adams broke her silence on the chaos at Loose Women, admitting she's had sleepless nights over the cuts.
Speaking on her podcast, How To Be 60, Kaye said she felt as though 'the rug had been pulled' from underneath her.
The 62-year-old confessed: 'It did come out of the blue.
"I didn't anticipate it, which is probably stupid in retrospect. You get into a sort of rhythm of life.
"I had a couple of sleepless nights I have to say, because it's just like the rug's been pulled from under your feet – what has been familiar.'
Kaye, who is one of Loose Women's main anchors, said: 'It's going to have an impact. Lots of people will lose their jobs completely which is terrible. It's a huge change.
'But I gave myself a talking to and I listened to my own advice for once – change is hard, but it can be good.
'The past is a trap, don't fear the future – I'm telling myself all these things. And maybe this is the nudge that I needed to make some changes in my life and I'll just have to go with it.'
It has been rumoured that the pool of Loose Women panellists will be reduced as part of the cutbacks, which will be introduced from January.
So far none of the hosts know if their livelihoods are at stake.
It is not yet known whether younger panellists, such as former Love Island contestant Olivia Attwood, 34, and influencer GK Barry, 25, will be favoured over veteran stars including Janet Street-Porter, 78, and Jane Moore, 63.

Coronation Street legend in tears as wedding day 'ruined' ahead of soap exit
Coronation Street legend Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) broke down in tears after his wedding to Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) took a dramatic turn on the latest episode of the ITV soap Dev Alahan was left in tears after his wedding day went awry on Wednesday night's episode of Coronation Street. The Weatherfield businessman was set to tie the knot with Bernie Winter on the latest instalment of the ITV soap. But things didn't exactly go to plan when the bride-to-be was late and then collapsed on the spot as they were about to say their vows, and that was just the beginning of their troubles. It was set to be a flamboyant day full of bright colours and costumes at the Street's token restaurant, but ambulance had to be called when Bernie struggled to breathe and she was quickly whisked off to hospital. It soon transpired that Bernie had had an allergic reaction to the lilies that were in her wedding bouquet, and had been supplied by Preston's Petals. It comes after bosses confirmed that a Coronation Street legend will be returning to the cobbles after seven years away. While all this was going on, Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) took it upon herself to entertain the congregation with a rendition of the Grease classic Hopelessly Devoted To You, and she then proposed to boyfriend Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan). Meanwhile, Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) eventually became the second Mrs Alahan when she and Dev said their vows as she sat in the hospital bed and she was discharged later that day. As viewers will know, Dev, who was previously married to the late Sunita Alahan (Shobna Gulati), had been kept in the dark about the fact that his son Aadi (Adam Hussain) has ran up £6,000 worth of debt in the shop, which he was left in charge of when his dad took a break a few months ago. But Dev managed to get it out of his son later in the episode. Furious, Dev, who has been played by Jimmi Harkishin since 1999, told him: "You are pathetic. Why did you keep all that from me? All those debts. I purposely kept my eyes and hands of the books so that you could prove yourself. And now, you are the definition of a failure. Shame on you! And you've brought shame on me." However, Bernie was aware of just how much her long-lost grandson Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) had been involved in the situation having staged a robbery as a failed insurance scam, and she had spent weeks trying to cover things up. Earlier in the day, Brody and Aadi had a violent confrontation after it became apparent that he had held her up in getting to the venue on time as he asked her for advice on how to take care of his sisters now that both of his parents are in prison. After Bernie overheard the confrontation between Dev and Aadi, she explained to Dev: "Two words. Insurance scam. Aadi got Brody to stage a robbery, and when that went belly-up, I tried to help. I got you to bring the wedding forward so we could get our hands on Aunti Rani's cash. I thought we could pay off the debt that way. " As viewers will know, Aunty Rani (Josephine Lloyd-Welcome) was due to present Dev and Bernie with thousands for the wedding, and Bernie had hoped to use most of the money to pay off Aadi's debts whilst keeping it all from her significant other. Deciding that now was the time to tell the truth, she told Dev: "I did the wedding on the cheap so there'd be a bit left over, otherwise, you'd be head-to-toe in Saville Row." In disbelief, Dev simply shook his head and muttered "No, no..." as he walked straight out of number seven. He headed over to the now-empty Bistro, where Bernie followed soon after. She told him: "I thought I could fix everything without you knowing, keep everything sweet between father and son. I've ruined our wedding, haven't I?" Dev was on the verge of tears as he put his head in his hands, and he begged his now-wife that the lies had to stop. She promised this would be the case, and the pair finally got to have their first dance together as husband and wife. But just moments later, Brody confronted Aadi on the Street and warned him: "Don't ever get in my face like that again because I won't be held responsible for my actions. I know we're like relatives now but stay as far away from me as possible. Laters." Fans will know that Aadi is set to leave the soap, but no exit date has been announced as yet. Could he face prison, or might he be kicked out by his relatives? Viewers certainly think so and that somehow it's all linked. They have wondered if a sad exit is on the cards as he burns bridges with those on the cobbles. One fan posted online: "Aadi is out of his depth with this robbery and love life. Everything is getting on top of him," as another predicted: "I wonder if this will be when Aadi exits the show?"

Emmerdale fans 'work out' Ray's love interest and it could spark ultimatum
Emmerdale viewers have shared the theory that new villain Ray will end up with someone in the village after a cryptic comment from actor Joe Absolom about the ITV soap role There could be romance on the way for Emmerdale baddie Ray. Amid his plans for teenagers Dylan Penders and April Windsor, fans think Ray will end up with someone in the village. The love interest could be none other than a character linked to April and others in the Dales, and it could spark an ultimatum if it was to happen. Fans can't help but question whether Ray will be caught up in a romance, taking his dealing storyline into another direction. It comes as Ray made it clear who he was targeting this week, with a drug drop planned for one terrified teen. So if the female in question dopes embark on a romance with the villain, it would definitely divide villagers. Fans think that unlucky in love Laurel Thomas will be Ray's love interest. She's not had the best of luck recently, from a near-kiss with ex Marlon Dingle, as well as her brief fling with vicar Charles Anderson, eight years on from the death of her husband Ashley Thomas. Laurel seems to be single for now, and with her offscreen a fair bit recently fans are guessing she has a storyline on the way. Amid fears about who else Ray may target, and whether Laurel's teen son Arthur Thomas will get involved, fans are speculating Laurel and Ray will end up together. Taking to social media, one fan said: "Joe [Absolom] said Ray has charm so I'm sure he's gonna end up with someone and Laurel is at the top of my list." Another fan replied: "I'm rooting for her and Ray now." So will Laurel end up in a forbidden romance with the village villain who's targeting teens in a dark plot? It's not yet clear how long Ray is on the show for and what will happen with the storyline. It comes as he was heard telling a mystery person about April "being of use" for their dodgy dealings. It wasn't revealed who he was on the phone to, but fans think they know the identity of the caller. Some fans have gone back to the Joe Tate theory about a possible teaming up, believing they are working together. Another theory speculated that fellow newcomer Celia might be linked to Ray. One theory said: "Anyone else curious as to who Ray was on the phone with? I reckon it's someone we know like Joe." Another post echoed this theory saying: "Is Ray working with Joe?" Meanwhile another fan commented: "Imagine if Ray was working with Celia." Celebs SAS stars 'to get full fee despite quitting Channel 4 show early'
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins stars will reportedly still get their full fee even if they quit, and three of the contestants are said to have raked in thousands for just minutes on screen Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins stars will reportedly still get their full fee even if they quit the show early. The Channel 4 military-style reality series returned to screens last week with the likes of X Factor legend Lucy Spraggan, footballer Troy Deeney and former drugs mule Michaella McCollum amongst a host of others being put through their paces by the show's tough directors. However, viewers watched as pop star Hannah Spearritt quit the show just minutes into the first episode, and dancer Louie Spencer later realised he could not hack it either so decided to remove his armband and walk off. In episode two, Love Island stars Tasha Ghouri and Chloe Burrows quit on the spot as well. Insiders have claimed that some of the stars are being paid up to £20,000 as an appearance fee and insisted that they will still receive payment in full, no matter what stage of the competition they actually reach. A source told The Sun: "Hannah Spearitt, Chloe Burrows and Tasha Ghouri will all have been paid over £10k - some as much as £20k - but unlike other reality shows, they do get paid if they pull out. So even though Hannah only lasted one minute, she'll still get paid over £10k for that minute." It comes after reports of all the celebrities rumoured to be joining BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2025. The source added that even though it can be 'embarrassing' for celebrities to quit so early, it is "well worth stars signing up even if they don't think they can complete the show just for the payday - it might be embarrassing taking their armband off early in the show, but it's good money!' Hannah who shot to fame as part of S Club 7 before going on to an acting career with roles in shows such as Primeval and EastEnders, was seen struggling. She was sitting on the way to a mission when she told her fellow recruits that she was 'feeling faint'. And just moments later, it was confirmed that the Reach singer had become the first to leave the course as her co-stars speculated that she had suffered a panic attack. However, in a confessional aired seconds beforehand, Hannah, who last year refused to join her bandmates for their reunion tour, had seemed confident in herself as she said: "I am pretty determined. I wouldn't say I give up easily but whether I get to the end or not...I don't think I'll go on the first day because I just wouldn't forgive myself." She went onto tell instructors: "Sorry - I'm done. Sorry. I've reached a point." And she wasn't the only star to fall at the first hurdle, as Pineapple Dance Studios star Louie also dramatically left the show as the tough scenes unfolded. He initially told the cameras as part of his own confessional segment: "If there was a world war and they decided they were gonna call everyone up, would I be the first to jump up and say 'Yes me?' Being surrounded my thousands of soldiers, I might just jump at it. I'd be the home guard like on Dad's Army. We'll have a gay Dad's Army. Honestly, they wouldn't wanna mess with the gays!" But, despite his confidence, just moments later, Chris Fox described the group's effort as "abysmal" after the latest task. He reminded the recruits to think about why they were there and suggested they take things "seriously". Louie piped up: "I wanna do an immediate withdrawal. I just don't have the conviction and I feel as though I'm not dedicated enough," he said as he removed his armband. Chris gave him the chance to put his arm band back on, but Louie refused, so Chris said: "Get your kit." In a previously-filmed confessional, Louie, 56, had said: "I'm a survivor, I would keep battling to survive. I think the worst way for me to leave the course would be to choose to leave. That would really p*** me off," but just seconds later, it was confirmed that he had indeed quit the show." And following their exits, Chloe took to Instagram to rant about why she had quit as she said: ""I was f*****g exhausted and wanted my own bed and a cuddle from my mum. Forgive a girl for being so naive, but jumping at opportunities I'd never thought possible," whilst Tasha is yet to address her exit.
