Kids are expensive, but making their room a special space doesn't have to be.
1. A plush diaper caddy basket with a wipeable surface (which is, to be frank, unnervingly necessary) that's so surprisingly stylish you just might forget the terrible purpose it serves. Just kidding, new parents, diapers aren't THAT bad. Particularly if you have a caddy this cute. This can create a warm, earthy, and inviting space for your child without turning them into a sad beige baby. Bless.
Promising review:"This is my second diaper caddy to own. I got a new one for my second child because the last one became a toy carrier for my daughter. This one is beautiful and looks like the color that is pictured. It's also very sturdy where some are flimsy. I organized mine with the essentials. It's able to fit plenty of diapers, wipes, burp rags, diaper cream, gripe water, etc. which made it very easy to use and take all over the house. The dividers come out — they are attached by Velcro but are easy to put together or take off if you want to adjust it." — Katie Mabe
Get it from Amazon for $22.99+ (available in eight colors).
2. A personalized pennant for highlighting the MVP in your life with a snazzy flag that's all their own.
Amazon, Mallory Mower / BuzzFeed
Rosanbella is a small business specializing in personalized nursery and infant goods. Each piece can have up to ten letters, with two sizes available for the best fit.
The image on the right is of my daughter's pennant! After featuring these for ages, I was super excited to have one made for my baby's first birthday. It's such a charming addition to her room, and the type of decor that she won't age out of (like most of the items in her nursery). I love the thought of a piece of decor from infancy staying in her room as she grows up.
Get it from Amazon for $17.99.
3. A giant botanical wall decal so your little sprout can have their very own secret garden in a little nook of their room. These are super easy to put up; just peel and stick the six floral strips!
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising review:"This creates a very cute cottagecore vibe. It's a little tricky to put up with three separate sheets for the bottom, middle, and top. I ordered two to cover the whole wall. All in all I'm very happy with this. It makes my nursery super cute — perfect for baby girl on her way! I might end up ordering more for the other side of the wall." — Tsubaki
Get it from Amazon for $9.99+ (available in 16 styles).
4. A collection of wooden decorative eggs for giving their nursery's "outside-in" decor an eggcelent addition that'll look like whimsy in its chicest sense.
I own these! The photo on the top left is a shot from my apartment. These eggs were the cherry on top of my Beatrix Potter bookshelf! If you're looking to create a "bringing the outside in" aesthetic, these speckled eggs can't be beat!
Get it from Amazon for $19.99.

Amazon
Promising review:"Great for pretend play! My daughter loves using this to look through when she is reading or looking out the window. The peacock is beautiful and well made. Great to take on car rides…small size fits in small hands easily." — AMF
Get it from Amazon for $27.99.
7. A terribly charming toadstool tent sure to be beloved by imaginative kids who prefer pretend play to structured sets and games. If your family has too much energy for your *regular* house, send your little faeries off into the "forest" and have them scavenge for things to fill up their toadstool home.
Promising review:"The mushroom playhouse tent added enchantment to my daughter's 4th fairy-themed birthday party! It became the whimsical centerpiece, creating a magical space where imagination soared. The easy setup was a parent's dream. I will be moving it to her bedroom after the party and probably to the backyard during summer. This mushroom tent playhouse is a must-have for fairy-tale tykes! 🍄✨👧🧚‍♀️" — Gizem Aktan
