Dave Portnoy makes rare public appearance with 26-year-old girlfriend Camryn D'Aloia at Celtics' playoff win
Dave Portnoy and his girlfriend Camryn D'Aloia were locked in while sitting courtside during Game 5 of the Knicks-Celtics Eastern Conference semifinals series in Boston on Wednesday night.
The Barstool Sports founder, who is a diehard Celtics fan, and the 26-year-old Massachusetts native sported C's hats and sipped High Noons.
D'Aloia, who lives in Boston, is a community management associate for the hair growth company Nutrafol, according to her LinkedIn page.
Emotions were high at TD Garden in Boston, where the Celtics were fighting for their season while down 3-1 in the series.
Without their superstar leader Jayson Tatum — who underwent surgery for a ruptured right achilles tendon suffered in Game 4 — the Celtics beat the Knicks, 127-102, to force a Game 6 on Friday at Madison Square Garden.

Portnoy was excited after the triumph.
'Our best player is hurt, what a disaster,' Portnoy said in an X video. 'Then you see tonight, the team rallies.'
It's unclear if Portnoy and D'Aloia will be at Game 6 back at Madison Square Garden.
The couple had a viral moment during last year's NBA Playoffs when they were featured on the live broadcast while sitting courtside during Monday's Game 4 of the Celtics-Heat first-round playoff series.

Portnoy and D'Aloia — who sat behind the broadcast table where Brian Anderson and Stan Van Gundy called the game — were clearly camera shy as they avoided looking straight ahead.
During an episode of the 'BFFs' podcast at the time, Portnoy told hosts Josh Richards and Brianna LaPaglia that the two were friends and that it wasn't a 'boyfriend-girlfriend' situation.
Portnoy confirmed they were dating during an April appearance on the 'Drop A Pin' podcast.
It came six months after Portnoy split with influencer Silvana Mojica in late 2023 following three years of dating.
Portnoy was previously married to Renee Portnoy from 2009-17.

Updated Knicks next head coach odds has Jason Kidd as clear favorite

DraftKings Sportsbook has updated its latest odds of who will be the Knicks' next coach and Jason Kidd is now the betting favorite. The Post confirmed Monday there is mutual interest between the Knicks and Kidd and that appears to have resulted in the Mavericks' coach moving to -180 favorite status after not even being on the board at open. Former Nuggets coach Michael Malone had previously been the favorite at +125 odds, but has fallen dramatically to +850. Cavaliers' assistant head coach Johnnie Bryant is the second-favorite to be the Knicks' coach at +180 odds. Knicks next coach odds Candiate Odds Jason Kidd -180 Johnnie Bryant +180 Michael Malone +850 Taylor Jenkins 10/1 Steve Nash 25/1 Dan Hurley 25/1 Rick Brunson 30/1 Frank Vogel 30/1 Jeff Van Gundy 35/1 Mike Brown 40/1 Micah Nori 50/1 Adrian Griffin 50/1 Mike Budenhoizer 50/1 Mark Jackson 50/1 Rajon Rondo 50/1 James Borrego 60/1 Odds via DraftKings available in AZ, CO, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, ME, MI, NC, NH, ON, OR, WA, WV, WY The Knicks hiring Kidd would need approval from the Mavericks, as Kidd would have to be let out of his contract with Dallas. Trade compensation would likely facilitate such a move, assuming the Mavericks don't want to lose their star coach for nothing. Johnnie Bryant was formerly a Knicks assistant before he left for the Cavaliers. AP Kidd led the Mavericks to the NBA Finals in 2024 before the team traded Luka Doncic midseason and the season went off the racks. The Mavericks then won NBA Draft lottery despite going 39-43, giving them the the right to draft projected top pick Cooper Flagg. Former Villanova coach Jay Wright is no longer a candidate for the position, while UConn coach Dan Hurley indicated he will be remaining in Storrs. Court Sense: We want our NBA Finals logos!
The NBA Finals are off and running, with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers tied with the series shifting to Indianapolis for Game 3 on Wednesday. But does it really feel like the Finals? I don't mean because of the small-market teams — I'll rest the slander of the midwest for today — or perceived lack of star power. But when you tune into the broadcasts on ABC or ESPN, it all feels a little ... flat? The league and its broadcaster have come under some criticism for the underwhelming presentation for the NBA's showpiece series, with some suggesting the games haven't really felt any different from a Wednesday night in January. Advertisement Much of that criticism has been directed toward the court designs, with the floor at Oklahoma City's Paycom Center lacking a single Finals-related decal for Game 1. It was a far cry Get Starting Point A guide through the most important stories of the morning, delivered Monday through Friday. Enter Email Sign Up The NBA apparently heard this criticism after Game 1 and acted swiftly. Viewers were treated to a pair of pretty low-res digital decals ( It's all just so underwhelming. You'd only really know you were watching the NBA Finals from the little logo in the corner of the scorebug (or if you have a vague sense of the basketball calendar, I suppose). Advertisement Tyrese Haliburton, man. Julio Cortez/Associated Press As for the actual basketball, each team has notched a win typical of their respective playoff runs. The And that's final second , singular, ( By the way, those three-tenths of a second that remained after Haliburton's shot accounted for all of the time that the Pacers led in Game 1. Incredible. I have never seen anything quite like this A Haliburton shot in crunch time this year has been more likely to go in than a Payton Pritchard free throw. I need to go sit down. Advertisement Let's get into it. ICYMI 🗞️ Do not touch the Buffalo! Danielle Parhizkaran/Globe Staff In what is sure to be a painful offseason, there's one thing the Celtics absolutely cannot do By Chad Finn Recent eye-catching headline on Celtics have reportedly 'rebuffed' other teams' attempts at trading for Derrick White. My ire-raising reaction upon considering said eye-catching headline: 'Keep rebuffing, Brad. Rebuff every offer, from insulting' (Which most of them will be.) 'to thought-provoking.' (If any happen to be, which is doubtful.) 'Rebuff and rebuff some more. Rebuff them into oblivion.' Because in this potentially — probably? — seismic offseason for the Celtics, trading Derrick White is the one move that cannot be tolerated. Other top stories we're watching ... A picture is worth a thousand words, and the defining image of the Celtics' season — and the team's near future — was a painful one. From Larry Bird to Sam Presti, there are plenty of local connections in this year's NBA Finals. Tom Thibodeau, who was stunningly fired by the Knicks last week, has seemingly been unfairly branded — and it's a tough label to shake. Trivia Tuesday 🧠 Each week, we'll be asking a piece of Celtics trivia to test your knowledge on the 18-time champions. Congratulations to Greg Herr of Byfield, the first person to correctly answer last week's question. As a refresher, we asked you to name the Celtic who shot a perfect 3 for 3 in the 1986 NBA Finals (with the hint that he's got some pretty important basketball games coming up). The answer is Rick Carlisle, who played three seasons for Boston in the 1980s. Now in his second stint as head coach of the Indiana Pacers, Carlisle is looking to win his second NBA title as a coach (the first came with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011). Rick Carlisle (center left) wasn't quite as pivotal to the Celtics 1986 as Danny Ainge (left), Larry Bird (center right), or Bill Walton (right), but we haven't forgotten him. Greene, Bill Globe Staff Here's this week's question: Which former Celtic is the only player in NBA history to win NBA Finals MVP and not later be elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame? (Excluding currently active players or yet to be eligible for the Hall of Fame.)Know the answer? Send us an email at Advertisement This week in basketball 🏀 Congratulations to ESPN's Richard Jefferson, a first-time winner of the Joe Mazzulla Quote of the Week. Jefferson and ex-Celtic Kendrick Perkins have long provided some comic relief to ESPN's otherwise lackluster NBA coverage — t '[Haliburton] had 5 [points] going into the fourth, and then he gets those 12 points, but the game's out of reach,' No hesitation, fully deadpanned, excellent delivery. That's 10s all-around for RJ! This story first appeared in Court Sense, a biweekly Celtics newsletter from Boston Globe Sports. Amin Touri can be reached at

Last week, Mariah Carey dropped her first proper single in years — and now, 'Type Dangerous' is getting a music video, as revealed Monday (June 9). As teased in a clip posted by the vocalist on her socials, MC's new visual will arrive on Friday (June 13). The preview finds a characteristically glamorous Carey walking into a casino in a sparkling floor-length dress. The vibes are fun and carefree, with the exception of a hint of danger when the camera pans to a man holding a knife behind his back. Carey's video announcement also came on the same day she gave 'Type Dangerous' its live performance debut at the 2025 BET Awards, where she was also honored with the Ultimate Icon title.
