Dave Portnoy makes rare public appearance with 26-year-old girlfriend Camryn D'Aloia at Celtics' playoff win

New York Post15-05-2025

Dave Portnoy and his girlfriend Camryn D'Aloia were locked in while sitting courtside during Game 5 of the Knicks-Celtics Eastern Conference semifinals series in Boston on Wednesday night.
The Barstool Sports founder, who is a diehard Celtics fan, and the 26-year-old Massachusetts native sported C's hats and sipped High Noons.
D'Aloia, who lives in Boston, is a community management associate for the hair growth company Nutrafol, according to her LinkedIn page.
Emotions were high at TD Garden in Boston, where the Celtics were fighting for their season while down 3-1 in the series.
Without their superstar leader Jayson Tatum — who underwent surgery for a ruptured right achilles tendon suffered in Game 4 — the Celtics beat the Knicks, 127-102, to force a Game 6 on Friday at Madison Square Garden.

Portnoy was excited after the triumph.
'Our best player is hurt, what a disaster,' Portnoy said in an X video. 'Then you see tonight, the team rallies.'
It's unclear if Portnoy and D'Aloia will be at Game 6 back at Madison Square Garden.
The couple had a viral moment during last year's NBA Playoffs when they were featured on the live broadcast while sitting courtside during Monday's Game 4 of the Celtics-Heat first-round playoff series.

Portnoy and D'Aloia — who sat behind the broadcast table where Brian Anderson and Stan Van Gundy called the game — were clearly camera shy as they avoided looking straight ahead.
During an episode of the 'BFFs' podcast at the time, Portnoy told hosts Josh Richards and Brianna LaPaglia that the two were friends and that it wasn't a 'boyfriend-girlfriend' situation.
Portnoy confirmed they were dating during an April appearance on the 'Drop A Pin' podcast.
It came six months after Portnoy split with influencer Silvana Mojica in late 2023 following three years of dating.
Portnoy was previously married to Renee Portnoy from 2009-17.

Report: Boston Celtics approaching offseason trades from position of strength, patience

Report: Boston Celtics approaching offseason trades from position of strength, patience The Boston Celtics are widely seen by NBA analysts as one of the teams most likely to make aggressive moves to trim salary this offseason. Early reports hinted that opposing ball clubs expected it to cost them assets to get off the significant contracts of the players most often cited as likely to be moved -- namely vet guard Jrue Holiday and Latvian big man Kristaps Porzingis. But recent rumbles from reputable sources have hinted that might not be the case, and new reporting from The Stein Line's Jake Fischer has underscored that this belief has "begun to fade," with Boston "said to be conducting their mid-June business with confidence that they can make deals that bring positive value back". Per Fischer, the Celtics aren't "operating to date like a team desperate to shed salary," hinting at plans for several trades over time between now and the 2026 NBA trade deadline. Instead, something like dealing away Porzingis and then making more moves midseason might be the model, per The Stein Line reporter, with the Celtics "believed to be open to listening to any player on its roster not named Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown." He also speculates Payton Pritchard and Derrick White are nearly in that category as well. With Pritchard seen as likely to carry a major part of Boston's offense next season and White "so essential to Boston on both sides of the floor that it sounds as though the Celtics would need their version of the offer that blew away Brooklyn and forced the Nets to part with Mikal Bridges to entertain surrendering him," we are starting to get a firmer outline of what the team's plans to get cheaper will look like. The question now starts to shift to which clubs are they trying to work with to accomplish them -- and whether they will be able to pull it off.

Heat Ex-Teammate Threatened to 'Whoop' Warriors' Jimmy Butler

Heat Ex-Teammate Threatened to 'Whoop' Warriors' Jimmy Butler originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Miami Heat took the odd step of keeping Udonis Haslem around on the roster for 20 years, until he was 42 years old. That was at least six years past his sell-by date: In his final six seasons in Miami, Haslem played only 65 games. Advertisement But he was, essentially, a coach on the bench and in the locker room for the Heat, and more important, he had the back of coach Erik Spoelstra. That was evident throughout the team's recent turmoil with star forward Jimmy Butler, who was traded to the Warriors in February after a rough ending to his partnership with the Miami Heat. Haslem, for one, did not appreciate the way Butler handled his Miami exit. Butler struggled to stay on the the floor in 2023-24 because of injuries, was called out by team president Pat Riley, and then sat out much of 2024-25 with more "injuries" as he sought a contract extension. Advertisement Haslem appeared on "The Pat McAfee Show" on Wednesday and spoke about one of the times he and Butler nearly got into a scuffle, back when Butler wanted to fight Spoelstra during a timeout back in March 2022. Haslem's response applied well to how Butler handled his final season in Miami. Yeah, I was gonna whoop Jimmy (expletive)," Haslem said. "It's OK, and I love Jimmy. But before I let one guy take down this locker room, I will whoop your (expletive). There's 15 other guys in this locker room got the right mindset. Before I let this one guy take down this whole 15, I'll whip your (expletive)." After playing just 25 games for the Heat last year, Butler played 30 to close the year for Golden State. Caitlin Clark reacts to the Pacers' Game 3 win in the NBA Clark/Instagram Caitlin Clark has been showing non-stop support for the Pacers throughout the NBA Playoffs. In fact, when Indiana's NBA franchise won Game 1 of the Finals thanks to Tyrese Haliburton's game-winner, she was also among the first ones to react. The Pacers will return to action on Friday for Game 4 of their series with the Thunder. The Fever, for their part, don't have a game that day, so hopes are high that Clark will come to watch the showdown again.
