The Samsung S90D OLED TV made our list of the best OLED TVs as the best Samsung option for the price, which means it's even more noteworthy with this discount. The OLED TV is powered by Samsung's NQ4 AI Gen2 processor for top-quality 4K Ultra HD picture and Dolby Atmos sound, and it runs on Samsung's Tizen operating system so you can access the streaming services that you have subscriptions for. If you're watching lower resolution content, the Samsung S90D will upscale them to 4K quality using AI.
The OLED TV technology in the Samsung S90D creates perfect black levels, which is one of the major differences highlighted in our OLED TV versus QLED TV comparison. Other benefits of OLED TVs include superior response time for clearer images during fast action scenes, wider viewing angles so you can see what's on the screen from anywhere in the room, less power consumption so you won't have to worry about your electricity bill, and better eye comfort so you can watch for several hours without any issues.
The Samsung S90D OLED TV is an excellent choice if you want an upgrade for your home theater setup, and it's an even better option right now because all of its sizes are on sale. The discounts range from $500 for the 42-inch model, which is down to $900 from $1,400, to $2,100 for the 83-inch model, which you can get for $3,300 instead of $5,400. Samsung TV deals usually don't last long as stocks sell out quickly, and we believe the same thing will happen with these offers for the Samsung S90D OLED TV. Hurry up if you want to secure the savings!

Asus has the new world's fastest OLED monitor at 720Hz, and it's dripping with style
We might have a new king of esports gaming monitors — one with fewer compromises than ever before. Asus has just announced the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W at Gamescom 2025. Not only does it offer a 26.5-inch 2560 x 1440 QHD OLED screen at a blazing-fast 540Hz, it's also a dual-mode panel that can switch to a practically unheard-of 720Hz refresh rate when you kick the graphics down to 1080p* resolution. Asus may not technically have the fastest monitor ever made, as both Koorui and HKC have announced 750Hz 1080p monitors, but both of those have TN panels that won't even begin to compete on color, brightness, and viewing angles. They're from brands we don't typically see in western countries, and neither lets you switch to higher resolution when you don't need all the speed. Meanwhile, the Asus isn't just OLED — it's a tandem OLED panel that should dramatically boost HDR brightness and allegedly improve lifespan. It's also got a glossy coating that could make its colors even more vibrant and its blacks even blacker than OLED tech can already afford, assuming you're not playing in a room with glare (though Asus claims the coating minimizes glare 'even in bright rooms.') Here's the part where I'd normally say 'who needs 540Hz let alone 720Hz? Have you done the math and seen the diminishing returns?' Instead, I'm too busy gaping at Asus' stunning new silver and translucent plastic design. Clear gadgets are near and dear to my heart, after all, and the skeletal silver really makes it stand out in a sea of black-framed panels. Unfortunately, we don't have pricing or a release date yet, and I suspect it'll cost a pretty penny because Asus chose that groundbreaking panel and did all that work to set it apart. Seeing more OLED monitor prices come down to earth would excite me even more than a new flagship like this. Also, I would prefer a smaller stand to the huge three-blade propeller, but unfortunately, Asus does make you compromise to get that. The company's also introducing a new ROG Strix OLED XG27AQWMG today with the same tandem OLED tech, but as you can see in the one-pager below, it's a 280Hz panel that still relies on either HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4's DSC compression, rather than the flagship's new DisplayPort 2.1a which boasts 80Gbps of bandwidth. Both have Asus' 'Neo Proximity Sensor,' a relatively new feature it's been adding to OLED panels, 'to accurately measure the user's distance to the monitor and automatically switch to a black screen when the user is away,' as an extra protection against burn-in. Asus also tends to offer a three-year warranty against OLED burn-in these days, and both LG Display and Samsung Display's newer panels have many protections against it; as long as those protections aren't over-aggressive, burn-in is no longer a reason I'd personally steer away. Just know that other monitor makers will probably use the same 4th-gen WOLED tandem panel from LG Display, too. SDC has already announced one, and other brands might follow suit. *If you've heard of 720Hz before, it's probably because LG Display already announced the dual-mode 720Hz panel that appears in this monitor. And if you're wondering why we say 1080p rather than 720p as others are reporting, it's because we fact-checked with both Asus and LG Display that the panel is 1080p at 720Hz. We'll let you know if we hear different. Posts from this author will be added to your daily email digest and your homepage feed. Amazon Deals of the Day: Let Your Kids Join the Fun With Over 30% Off the Amazon Fire Kids Tablet
Amazon sells a vast array of products, with new ones arriving daily across multiple categories, including home essentials, tech gadgets and furniture. Lucky for us, the retail giant loves cutting prices as much as it loves adding new products. But deciding which offers are worth grabbing (and which aren't) is a full-time job, so we do all the heavy lifting, hand-picking the top markdowns from the bunch. Today, we spotted the Amazon Fire 7 Kids tablet at almost 40% off. We also found the highly-rated Beats Studio Buds Plus back down to $100 and a record low on the Samsung portable SSD. The Fire 7 kids tablet is a great choice for children. It has a large, 7-inch display and a long-lasting battery of up to 13 hours, so you won't have to constantly plug it in. It's created for kids between the ages of three and seven and comes with a handy, rugged case that also has a kickstand built in so they can easily watch videos or play games anywhere. The tablet comes in three colors: purple, blue and red. The parental controls allow you to set time limits and educational goals from your phone or tablet. And Amazon is throwing in 12 months of Amazon Kids Plus for free. This tablet would normally run you $110 but right now, Amazon has slashed it down to $70. It's not the cheapest we've seen but it's still a great deal, especially if you're back-to-school shopping. If you're in need of new earbuds, the Beats Studio Buds Plus are a great choice. These Beats Studio Buds Plus have Class 1 Bluetooth, which lets your phone stay connected to the buds at a pretty lengthy distance. These earbuds were designed to offer clear bass and treble for an immersive sound experience. These earbuds are IPX4-rated and are both sweatproof and waterproof so you can rely on these earbuds during your workouts and adventures. Plus, they come in a few different colors so you can find what matches your style most. And best of all, all the colors are discounted right now. Normally, these earbuds would cost you $170. But with a nice 41% discount, Amazon has dropped the price down to $100, only $10 more than the record low we saw this past Prime Day. If you're anything like me, it feels like no amount of storage is ever enough. The Samsung T7 portable SSD can get you an extra 4TB of storage. This SSD offers a solid alternative to the more commonly used cloud storage options that you can always have on-hand. It has four full terabytes of storage and comes with both a USB-C to C and a USB-C to A cable so you can transfer files easily. It reads up to 1,050 megabytes per second -- that's pretty speedy. Plus, its solid aluminum unibody construction makes it sturdy and durable. Usually, you'd have to pay well over $300 for this storage device. But Amazon just dropped it down to a record-low price of $230, saving you an impressive $115. With so many deals on Amazon, deciding which ones are worth your money can be difficult. But CNET combs through what the world's largest online retailer has to offer each day and gathers the best deals for you to check out.
