Minnie Ntuli's ‘RHOD' clash leaves Gagasi FM ‘shocked': Presenter steps back from morning show
Image: Supplied
Gagasi FM has stated that the actions of "The Real Housewives of Durban" co-star and Gagasi FM radio presenter, Minentle 'Minnie' Ntuli, left the station 'shocked' and 'disappointed.'
Ntuli co-hosts the morning show "The Uprising" alongside reality star Felix Hlophe.
The station's statement follows a heated moment on the recent two-part reunion episode of the reality TV show, where an unseen clip was aired showing Ntuli in an argument with fellow cast member Londie London.
In the video, the confrontation between London and Ntuli escalated when Ntuli took offence to London's question about her upbringing, feeling it was a personal attack on her parents.
The situation intensified as Ntuli threw a cushion and approached London, accusing her of disrespecting her parents and 'dishonouring' them. This followed London asking her who raised her, as she has shown a lack of respect for others.

The exchange turned heated, with Ntuli hurling insults and aggressively poking London in the forehead, which left her in disbelief.
Despite the provocation, London remained calm, labeling Ntuli as 'horrible' and a 'bully' and questioning her behaviour.

Ntuli and London's feud had been one of the many dramatic things that have been happening on this season of the show and entertained viewers.
The palpable tension between the two had fans glued to their screens every week to see what would happen next.
'Like many of our listeners and members of the public, we were shocked and disappointed by what we saw."
'While 'The Real Housewives of Durban' is an independent production and separate from Gagasi FM, we acknowledge that Minnie's conduct on the show has had an impact on both our brand and the community we serve."
'In previous seasons, we have seen other cast members on the show engage in moments of conflict and even attempted physical confrontations. What gives us hope is that, in many of these instances, reconciliation has been possible, and relationships have been mended,' the radio station stated.

According to the station, "Ntuli had fully owned up to her actions, offered a sincere apology, and penned a letter of regret to the production company and cast members of the show."
Additionally, the station affirmed it was against bullying, aggression and disrespect.
Gagasi FM stated that Ntuli was committed to seeking professional assistance to better manage her emotions, and the station expressed support for her decision.
'Our focus is on promoting reconciliation. Both Minnie and the other cast members are professionals in the media industry, and it is likely they will work together again in future."
'As a station, we are committed to supporting a process that encourages healing, forgiveness, and mutual respect,' they said.
Ntuli had also previously responded with her own statement after the episode aired, reflecting on her actions after watching the show.
'Watching the show back has been deeply confronting. I am appalled by how I behaved, and I take full accountability for the role I played."
I want to sincerely apologise to the affected cast members. I know my actions hurt others, and for that, I am truly sorry. I have reached out to them privately and publicly, and I remain committed to making amends, including having face-to-face conversations if and when they are open to it,' she wrote.

Additionally, Ntuli shared that she and the station acknowledged that her actions require accountability.
Meanwhile, the station has recently shared a social media post about recent developments on the show.
According to the post, Ntuli will be taking a step back from her hosting duties and will be replaced by Nkulee Mbatha.

Cardboard cutouts, legal drama and ghosting: 'The Real Housewives of Durban' S5 was anything but classy
Londie London ruffled feathers with her guest appearance on 'The Real Housewives of Durban' season 5. Image: Supplied In the same way that money can't buy happiness, it doesn't buy class either. This has never been more apparent than on season 5 of 'The Real Housewives of Durban', including the two-part reunion episode. I wanted to reserve all comments until I've watched every episode. But before I could pen my thoughts (harsh as they might be), I found myself drawn to all the off-screen drama post the show. Seriously, what in the world is going on? If you have been living under a rock, here's what you need to know. Londie London, who made a surprise guest appearance on the show, took legal action against Minnie Ntuli, who was a fresh face on the show. There was clearly more to the beef than was witnessed on the show. Meanwhile, Jojo Robinson is heartbroken after being ghosted by her BFF Nonku Williams, who chose not to attend the reunion episode and quit the show altogether. Her Instagram 'Joku' tribute to her was so heartfelt. With her enjoying a winter wonderland escape with the family, I hope it helps with Jojo's healing from this. And Angel Ndlela, who has truly grown on me since season four, received flak for her modest new home, which is a stark contrast to the affluent image sold on the reality show, and the opulent mansions of her co-stars. Ahead of the reunion special, I caught up with host MaBlerh (real name Mthokozisi Cele), who said two things about Nonku, one I now agree with and the other I don't. He said he felt that Nonku wrapped up everything that she needed to and that, as much as viewers loved to hate her, she would be missed. Now I've been quite vociferous about being glad to see the back of her. Admittedly, the reunion episodes lacked that explosive element that Nonku brought to the party. Minnie Ntuli stirred a hornet's nest on 'The Real Housewives of Durban' season 5. Image: Supplied She has been the drama queen of the party, along with Minnie Ntuli, who also decided against attending. The first reunion episode was a damp squib for me, and that's no slight on the host; he was dealing with the cards he's been dealt with. MaBlerh was smart enough to save most of the juicy upsets for part two. Everyone laughed about 'her' being on time, at least. Yes, all the ladies looked beautiful, including Londie, who needed to get her point across after being misunderstood towards the latter part of the series. Before getting the cast to spill the tea - and not walking out - they cheered with a piece of chicken (veg spring roll for Sorisha Naidoo, who is the only remaining OG on the show). MaBlerh, while pointing out that if it happened, it was shown - nothing was fabricated - gave the ladies a chance to weigh in on whether they felt misrepresented. He was smart enough to save most of the juicy upsets for part two. Ayanda Mthembu and her twin sister, Andile Pieterson, were quick to bring up the luxury swimwear saga that erupted at Londie's pool party. In unpacking how they felt, Londie also cleared a misconception that they were holding onto, which snowballed into more confrontations. Newcomer Lo Sithole, who clashed with Nonku over several issues: her tardiness, lack of respect and disregard for following the dress code for her event, gave her side of the story. For the first time in the history of the show, the husbands were invited to the reunion too. Of course, Kwanele Kubheka's (aka Fafa) alleged infidelity became a huge talking point. But the guys rallied around her husband. Of course, MaBlerh left no stone unturned in getting all the juicy details. The first reunion episode touched on the whole Minnie and Londie beef. Angel, who was sporting a new smile having had some dental work done, wasn't co-signing on Minnie's bad behaviour. The bullying reached toxic levels. Londie wasn't Minnie's only victim, though. Precious Udoye, who was briefly brought in, found herself in the eye of Minnie's storm. Let's just say, Minnie was like a dog with a bone about the founder and CEO of Precious Brand Hair Couture not treating her staff right. Also, the two had history, and Precious's not recognising her was the final straw for Minnie. In one of the episodes, Angel broke down after receiving news of her mother being sick. She addressed the issue, still visibly emotional about it. In part two, the Joku split was addressed with Jojo naming the alleged instigator, Beverly Steyn ('The Real Housewives of Cape Town'). Beverly and Nonku bonded during the filming of 'The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip - SA'. In case you are wondering what was in the note that set Nonku off in Mauritius, it still remains a mystery. However, we now know that it is Minnie who did it and made the twins and Fafa complicit in the plans. Talk about a shit-stirrer and then some. If there is a next season, can the production team do better with its cast selection, especially in introducing a new villain?

Mixed reviews on Angel Ndlela's new home: celebration or underwhelming reality?
'The Real Housewives of Durban' star, Angel Ndlela, is a proud new homeowner who is thoroughly enjoying this exciting chapter in her life. Image: Instagram Season 5 of "The Real Housewives of Durban" has been a rollercoaster ride of emotions, with cast members navigating complex friendships, broken boundaries and personal struggles. Amidst the drama and tension, one housewife, Angel Ndlela, is shining a light on a more positive note. Congratulations are in order as the reality star celebrates a major milestone of becoming a homeowner. On Thursday, July 17, Ndlela took to social media to share the exciting news with her fans. She posted a set of pictures of herself standing outside the stunning home, posing with a set of keys in her hands. She captioned the pictures, stating that she waited for God to make the purchase possible. 'After a sacred season of waiting, God made room. The wait was holy. The reward is home. Faith wrote this chapter, independence sealed it. 🏡🗝️✨,' she wrote. Her industry peers took to the comment section to congratulate the 30-year-old business woman. Ndlela's co-star Shorisha Naidoo commented: 'Well done, my love. Super proud of you❤️❤️❤️.' Influencer Lerato Nxumalo also congratulated Ndlela on the milestone, commenting: 'This is huge! Congratulations, you should be so proud of yourself,f beautiful 😍🥳🥂'. However, as a housewife on a reality TV show, Ndlela's new home has attracted scrutiny from viewers who expect a certain level of lavishness. With the show's focus on the wealthy lifestyle of its cast members, some viewers have criticised the reality star's home, saying it does not meet their expectations of what a 'housewife's' home should look like. 'I'm sorry but that house isn't up to "'Real Housewives' standards,' said X user @nok2lah_ Another social media user, @THendrix777, asked: 'Isn't the point of these shows to show us opulence and a disconnect from reality?' While @SihleN88853737 commented: 'Yho! I looked at Sorisha, Jojo, and Nonku's houses and then looked at Angel's house and sighed 🥴' Ndlela joined the cast of the popular reality show in 2024 and became the youngest cast member to join the group. Not only is she an established businesswoman who owns a construction company, but she is also making waves in the music industry with her latest collaboration with Funky QLA on 'Umkhuleko' (prayer). The single also features Amapiano sensations Sino Msolo, Sykes and gospel artist Khaya Mthethwa.
