Fever Coach Stephanie White's Blunt Response to Exciting Caitlin Clark News
Looking for their third straight win, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever visited Boston to take on coach Stephanie White's former team, the Connecticut Sun, on Tuesday at TD Garden.

In her second WNBA season, Clark has seen a drop in her scoring production from last year, averaging 16.7 points on 37.4% shooting, 4.8 rebounds and 9.0 assists per game. She is also having one of the worst 3-point shooting seasons of her career, averaging just 28.9% through 12 games.
But a three-game stretch before Clark's groin injury may have cost her total average. From June 19-24, she shot 1-of-23 from distance, good for 4.3%.
Still, despite the recent shooting woes, Clark accepted an invite to perform in the 3-point contest at the 2025 WNBA All-Star Weekend, which will be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse (Indianapolis). The former Iowa star notably did not participate in 2024.

Ahead of Tuesday's game, White joined the media in Boston for a pregame press conference. When asked about Clark playing in the 3-point contest, White shared her response.

"She doesn't need any pointers from me," White said. "No, we haven't talked about it. In fact, I saw it on the news. But, I mean, I'm happy that she's doing it. Certainly, in the state of Indiana and Indianapolis, so it's a great opportunity to continue to showcase what she does best to our fans and WNBA All-Star fans."
Along with Clark, four other WNBA stars will be participating in the 3-point contest. Those include Washington Mystics guard Sonia Citron, Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray, New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu and Los Angeles Sparks guard Kelsey Plum.
The 2025 WNBA 3-point shootout will take place on Friday at 8:00 p.m. ET, before the All-Star game the following day. After Tuesday's game, the Fever will have one final battle before the big weekend, facing the Liberty on Wednesday.

In one video from team practice, Bueckers made Reese laugh by calling for 'mebounds,' a phrase that was initially used to cyberbully the league's rebound leader until she trademarked and reclaimed it as her own. Reese later shared a video of herself and Bueckers recording a TikTok dance, to the delight of fans. 'This is so important to me,' one user commented, receiving over 19,000 likes. 'Pay Us What You Owe Us' As previously mentioned, the WNBA players are currently in the middle of collective bargaining agreement negotiations for higher salaries and a share in the league's revenue.
