Arson investigation launched after Boston flat fire
The fire caused damage to the ground floor flat in the Haven Village area of Boston and is believed to have been started deliberately. A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: "We are investigating a fire at a ground floor flat at Haven Village in Boston.
It continued: "Thankfully there were no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and we continue to work with specialist fire investigators to progress our inquiries.

"We are currently treating the fire as arson until new information comes to light. If you witnessed any suspicious activity at the time, or if you have any other information that can help with our investigation, please get in touch."
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote incident 172 of Tuesday, July 15. A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue added: "Three Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue crews from Boston and Kirton responded to reports of a domestic fire on Sutton Terrace on 15 July at 1030.
"Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel in to extinguish. While there was damage to the flat, thankfully nobody was injured.
"Our fire investigators have examined the scene, and the cause has now been determined as deliberate ignition. We have shared our findings with Lincolnshire Police, who are appealing for information to aid their investigations.'

Man in hospital after car crashes into takeaway
A man has been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a Staffordshire takeaway. Police were called to the A50 Scotia Road in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, at about 06:00 BST on Sunday. Six police 'wrestle' man into van after crash
A man was seen to be "wrestled with" by police officers after a Nissan Qashqai crashed in the city centre in the early hours of Sunday, July 20. Merseyside Police officers were called to the scene at Erskine Street at 12.53am following reports of a crash. Officers arrived to find the car having crashed, with no other cars involved and no injuries. A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drunk driving. One witness told the ECHO they saw a man being "wrestled by at least six police officers". Arrests made at penultimate Heaton Park Oasis gig
As tens of thousands of fans headed to Heaton Park last night, Saturday, for the penultimate Greater Manchester Oasis gig, the event passed 'without any major incidents' according to police. The evening saw 14 arrests made for offences including fraud, drunk driving and assault, bringing the total arrests across the four homecoming concerts to just 41. Police have been highly visible in the area as part of a huge security operation to keep concertgoers safe. Oasis will be playing the final of five gigs at Heaton Park tonight, Sunday, to an expected crowd of around 70,000 fans.
