John Krasinski will return to write, direct 'A Quiet Place Part III"

Aug. 1 (UPI) -- John Krasinski is returning to his A Quiet Place horror franchise as writer, director and producer of A Quiet Place Part III.
Krasinski announced Friday on social media that he will take the helm of the next installment in the series, with a release date set for July 9, 2027.
No cast or plot details have been shared.
Krasinski wrote, directed, produced and stared in the first film in the franchise, which also featured his wife, Emily Blunt, as well as Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds.
The films follow various groups of survivors in the aftermath of an invasion by deadly, noise-sensitive aliens.
Prequel film A Quiet Place: Day One, directed by Michael Sarnoski and starring Lupita Nyong'o, released last summer.

The trailer released Wednesday shows the young woman deeply disappointed when she learns the show is actually set in Paris, Texas. The bachelor in the reality show (Pierson Fode) quickly falls for Cosgrove, however, even as she tries to get eliminated. "You and I have something special," he tells her in the preview. "I don't know why you keep trying to pretend we don't." The film, which arrives on the streamer Sept. 12, also stars Madison Pettis, Madeleine Arthur, Frances Fisher, Yvonne Orji, Torrance Coombs, Christin Park, Emilija Baranac and Hannah Stocking.

Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Paramount+ released a teaser for Tulsa King Season 3 on Wednesday. The show returns Sept. 21. The 30-second spot shows crime boss Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) opening a distillery. Old villains Cal Thresher (Neal McDonough) and Bill Bevilaqua (Frank Grillo) return to threaten Dwight. "Tulsa is my home now," Dwight announces. "If you think you're going to take me out, it's going to be really difficult." Tulsa King launched in 2022. It is Stallone's first lead role in a television series. Created by Taylor Sheridan and written by Sheridan and Terrence Winter, Tulsa King chronicles former New York mafioso Dwight setting up his new family in Tulsa, Okla. Dwight's love interest Margaret (Dana Delany) and allies Bodhi (Martin Starr) and Tyson (Jay Will) are also shown. Season 3 will introduce a new character played by Samuel L. Jackson. File Photo by Christine Chew/UPI | License Photo Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Universal Pictures has released a new trailer for the horror film Him, starring Marlon Wayans as "a legendary eight-time Championship quarterback. Wayans plays Isaiah White opposite Tyriq Withers, who portrays aspiring football pro Cameron Cade. Cade dreams of becoming a star quarterback, but his goals are all but destroyed after a serious brain injury. White takes the young athlete under his wing, "but as Cam's training accelerates, Isaiah's charisma begins to curdle into something darker," according to an official synopsis. "In this game, violence is rewarded, so learn to enjoy it," White tells Cade in the trailer released Wednesday. The film also stars Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, Maurice Greene, Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack, and arrives in theaters Sept. 19. Get Out writer and director Jordan Peele produces.
