'While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them. I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.' This isn't the first time Clarkson has delayed her Studio Sessions. Back in July, the singer pushed the opening of her residency due to vocal issues. 'We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans,' she wrote in a statement at the time. 'I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow's opening at Caesars. The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y'all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.' Clarkson's residency was announced back in February. Her next performance is set for Nov. 7, just eight days before it was originally set to end on Nov. 15. Kelly Clarkson Reveals That Ex Brandon Blackstock 'Has Been Ill,' Postpones Residency to 'Be Fully Present' for Their Kids

Clarkson and Blackstock split in June 2020 after seven years of marriage Kelly Clarkson is taking time away to focus on her family. On Wednesday, Aug. 6, the singer-songwriter revealed her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, is ill and that she'll be postponing her Las Vegas residency to spend time with their children, River, 10, and Remington, 8. "Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas," Clarkson wrote in an Instagram post. The statement continued: "While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them. I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding." A rep for Blackstock did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment. Clarkson was married to Blackstock for seven years before they split in June 2020. They welcomed two children during their marriage: daughter River Rose and son Remington Alexander. Clarkson filed for divorce from the music manager in 2020 and it was finalized two years later. In January 2024, Clarkson told PEOPLE the divorce was "extraordinarily hard." "You feel alone, and it's just a blessing to be able to have that outlet for those emotions that are overwhelming," she said, referencing her album Chemistry. Meanwhile, on March 27, Clarkson appeared on Kylie Kelce's Not Gonna Lie podcast and made rare comments about Blackstock, pointed out the double standards between working moms and working dads. "There's a lot that I keep in because ... co-parenting is fun," she quipped. "It's like, 'Oh, he couldn't come because this,' and I'm like, 'Okay, cool.' Do you think I just leave and just sit in the park all day?" Read the original article on People

Wildwood tramcar's biggest fan had his dream come true with help from boardwalk legend Gigi

A Jersey Shore staple that has traveled the Wildwood boardwalk for decades continues to bring joy to visitors. Six-year-old Oliver Carroll has a smile that can light up your summer. He's the Wildwood, New Jersey, tramcar's biggest fan. Oliver's parents, April Miller and Anthony Carroll, said their son has autism and has been hooked on tramcars for years. When they took him to the yard to see the trains up close, they ran into Gigi, a boardwalk legend who has been driving tramcars for decades. "I let him come up in the cab with me, and the 'Watch the tram car' button is on the floor. He kept pressing it, and pressing it, and pressing it. It was no end," John Gigliotti, who's known as Gigi, said with a smile. "He was so kind and so generous, and with so much bitterness in the world and so much going on, it does remind you that there are still really good people in the world," April Miller said. Gigi said his job never gets old, and the best part is that he gets to meet people just like Oliver. "He hugged me for a while ... I was so blessed to be able to do that," Gigi said. The family said that while this may be a small gesture, it meant the world to them to see the happiness on their son's face. "It was just a real dream come true moment for him, and of course, we are just an emotional wreck. We're just like, look at him! That's all he ever wanted," April Miller said. "When you have a child with special needs, it's always really, really special when you get to fulfill those things for them." Oliver's parents said they are happy to see their son come out of his shell. Oliver wants to be like Gigi when he grows up.
