The use of advanced technologies in the organisation of the event was also endorsed, including interactive applications, live streaming, and digital platforms to broaden engagement and maximise impact.
The meeting further endorsed coordination between the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the UAE, in its capacity as Presiding Country for the forthcoming term and represented by the National Olympic Committee, to determine the date and venue for the 38th meeting of Presidents of the GCC Olympic Committees.
This meeting will be preceded by the preparatory session of the Executive Office.
As part of the proceedings of the 37th meeting, The Executive Office and relevant committees were mandated to review the final report of the 3rd GCC Beach Games, hosted by the Sultanate of Oman. The report will be assessed for its technical and organisational aspects, challenges, and recommendations, with appropriate actions to follow.

The meeting approved the provision of full support from the Olympic Committees of the GCC member states, enabling the platform to fulfil its objectives. Member states will provide the platform's executive committee with all necessary data related to its digital identity, along with information on sports facilities and tourism landmarks across the GCC.
These will serve as key components in promoting sports tourism among platform users.
The meeting further approved the organisation of the Gulf Women's Sports Hackathon as an annual or periodic initiative under the supervision of the Advisory Committee for Women's Sports. The initiative seeks to foster innovation in the sector and promote participation by multidisciplinary teams from member states.
Participants will receive support in the form of training and engagement opportunities, including workshops and advisory sessions conducted during the hackathon to guide projects and encourage knowledge exchange among experts. Awards will be presented to winning entries, and viable solutions will be supported for implementation at the GCC level. The results of the hackathon will be documented, and innovative ideas disseminated through digital platforms to enhance visibility and long-term impact.

‘Future generation won't forgive us': Paatil warns voters of Visavadar against voting for any party

Urging the voters to not 'repeat their mistakes', Union minister and Gujarat BJP president C R Paatil, on Monday, called upon the party workers and people of Visavadar assembly constituency to make the BJP candidate victorious otherwise the 'future generation won't forgive us'. Paatil made these remarks while campaigning for the by-election of Visavadar Assembly constituency of Saurashtra. The seat has fallen vacant following the resignation of AAP MLA Bhupendra Bhayani who later joined the BJP. Addressing a gathering of party workers in Visavadar constituency, Paatil said, 'This time there should not be any mistake. We have to look after the future generation as well. Future generation won't forgive us (saying) that 'you have made mistakes repeatedly'. Correct your (past) mistakes this time. Resolve to make BJP candidate Kirit Patel victorious this time to keep the voters of Visavadar and their future generation in front of the road of development.' Kirit Patel, a former Junagadh district president of BJP and a cooperative leader, is BJP candidate for the by-election. Kirit Patel is facing a challenge from AAP's Gopal Italia and Congress candidate Nitin Ranpariya. Paatil said, 'Entire country is developing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Entire world is impressed by him. Only Visavadar is facing hurdles in its development. Forget the mistake. You might have done experiments which have failed. Doesn't matter. But (make sure that) this time there is no mistake committed'. 'There is a need to make the BJP candidate victorious to keep Visavadar in leading position… on the path of development in the country and for the development which is needed for the future generation of Visavadar,' he said. BJP has not won the Visavadar constituency for the past several years and Paatil called upon the party workers to win it this time. 'BJP has never learnt to lose. And it has also not learnt to leave a constituency if it loses it,' Paatil said. Without taking any name, during his speech, Paatil asked people not to get misled by certain people who spread misconceptions. Voting for the by-election is scheduled on June 19. After the Pahalgam attack the entire country believed and expected 'kuch bada karna chahiye', 'kuch bada hona chahiye', Paatil said later in the day even as he mentioned that 'not a single soldier was harmed and everyone returned safely' while campaigning for the by-election in Mehsana district's Kadi Assembly constituency. He made these remarks while campaigning for Rajendra Chavda, the party candidate from Kadi for the June 19 by-election. Referring to the Operation Sindoor, Paatil said, 'Under Modi's leadership, not only the country but the world knew that kuch bada hoga. Operation Sindoor was a revenge of the Pahalgam attack.' 'As decided by PM Modi, (the missile attack was carried out) five hours for the first time, two-and-a-half hours for second time and 30 minutes for the third time but within 23 minutes nine locations of the terrorists were attacked and finished and the terrorists were killed. Not a single soldier was harmed and everyone returned safely. This is Modi's power, this is India's power, everyone's power and the country wants to strengthen this power,' Paatil said. Appealing to the voters in Kadi to 'create a record' with high number of votes for Rajendra Chavda, Paatl said that for Kadi election the issue is not of development but 'to make BJP candidate win by a record number'. 'Today such an environment is created in the entire country after Operation Sindoor that every voter wants to strengthen Modi's hands. They were confident that Modi hai toh mumkin hai. During the surgical strike within three hours more than 300 terrorists were killed by our soldiers who returned safely,' Paatil added.

Pete Hegseth faces hiring woes: At least three prospects say no to joining former Fox host at the Pentagon

The White House wants to hire a new chief of staff and top advisers for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, but it's hard to find anyone who wants the job. At least three people have already refused to take jobs under Hegseth, as per reports. These Pentagon jobs are normally considered important and attractive, but not this time. Hegseth fired two of his senior aides in April on live TV, accusing them of leaking classified info in a Fox News interview. After that, his chief of staff was removed, and a press aide quit, saying the office was in "total chaos", as stated by an NBC News report. Vice President JD Vance and Trump's chief of staff Susie Wiles are helping Hegseth find new staff, but he and the White House don't agree on who should be hired, Hegseth has rejected some of the White House's picks, and the White House has blocked some of his choices. Some people were not picked for the job because they didn't fully support the MAGA. They, along with Colin Carroll, said the process was unfair and that they weren't told what the allegations were. Hegseth later went on Fox News and blamed Caldwell, Selnick, and Carroll for both the leaks and the NYT story, but didn't give any proof, as mentioned by the Fox News. In May, the White House removed Hegseth and his lawyer, Tim Parlatore, from managing the investigation. The job was handed over to Deputy Defense Secretary Stephen Feinberg, which showed the White House doubted Hegseth's fairness. Live Events As no proof of leaks was found, officials started thinking maybe the firings were a mistake. Infighting among remaining Hegseth staff continues, and Hegseth is now mostly isolated, working with only a small group of close advisers, as stated by NBC News report. Hegseth's new pick rejected too Hegseth now relies on Ricky Buria, a former military aide who hoped to become his chief of staff. But the White House said no, since Buria was seen as inexperienced and had privately criticized Trump and Vance. The fights inside his office have delayed the 'Golden Dome' missile defense project, Trump's big national defense idea. There's still no Pentagon budget, and Republicans in Congress are frustrated. Some officials, including Vance, are worried this report could hurt Hegseth even more. But Hegseth's allies believe he'll stay in the job despite everything, according to the NBC News report. FAQs Q1. Why is Pete Hegseth struggling to hire staff? Because of past firings, office problems, and fights over who should be hired. Q2. Who decides on Hegseth's new team? Both Hegseth and the White House want a say, but they don't agree.
