Steve Clarke's men will begin to reach the 2026 showpiece in USA, Canada and Mexico in early September.
The two friendly clashes over the course of the next week will be the final preparations for the national team on the pitch before those qualifiers.
Before facing Liechtenstein next week, it's Iceland up first.
Scotland had found a good run of form, ending a horror run by going four games unbeaten.

A run of three wins in a row came to a shuddering halt with a 3-0 home defeat to Greece that consigned Clarke's side to Nations League relegation.
So these two upcoming matches will give the Scots a chance to build some momentum once again ahead of September.
There are several players looking to earn their first cap and look to make an impact ahead of those big games coming up too.

Scots civil servants offered £100k ‘cushy jobs' abroad while Holyrood faces ‘significant financial pressure'
'These cushy gigs are little more than taxpayer-funded platforms..." Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) CIVIL servants are being offered 'cushy' £100,000 pay packages to run Scottish Government offices in Denmark, Canada and China, we can reveal. The jobs are being advertised weeks after it emerged diplomats at the SNP ministers' international bases — dubbed 'pretend embassies' — have spent nearly £1million throwing 300 boozy parties. They even mention the cash crisis facing Holyrood — admitting it is a 'time of significant financial pressure for the Scottish Government'. Tories economy spokesman Murdo Fraser hit out: 'These cushy gigs are little more than taxpayer-funded platforms to bang the drum for independence abroad while Scotland's public services crumble. 'Scots want action on the state of the roads, NHS backlogs and failing schools — not more nationalist nonsense overseas. 'Hard-pressed Scots will be outraged the SNP is giving lucrative pay packages to pretend diplomats.' The jobs, in Copenhagen, Ottawa and Beijing, boast salaries of £74,480 to £85,964 with 28.9 per cent employer pension contributions boosting packages to around £100,000. Events held by the network of nine international offices include a ceilidh at a Brussels roundabout and a cheese and whisky celebration with the Swiss. External Affairs Secretary Angus Robertson said: 'We will never apologise for overseas offices that help showcase Scotland as a country open for business. "Scotland is consistently ranked best place in the UK outside of London for overseas investment.' Major Scottish Construction Firm Faces Liquidation in Dalgety Bay We previously reported how an independent review of the Scottish disability payment has called for the benefit to be simplified and made more accessible. Applying for the 'compassionate' benefit has been branded as 'soul-destroying' as part of a review commissioned by the Scottish Government. A report said the Scottish Adult Disability Payment (ADP) process was described as 'much kinder' than the UK Personal Independence Payment (PIP). But claimants still found it 'inaccessible, complex and burdensome, causing some clients significant stress and anxiety'. Led by charity leader Edel Harris, the review calls for automatic entitlement to the benefit in some cases. The Conservatives said the system 'is satisfying no one' and the SNP's persistent claim that they can run things better than Westminister 'continue to ring hollow'.

Liverpool urged to sign ex-Arsenal transfer target to replace Luis Diaz
Premier League champions Liverpool have been urged to sign ex-Arsenal transfer target Rodrygo from Real Madrid as a replacement for Luis Diaz. Real Madrid are reported to be open to selling the Brazil international this summer and have slapped an €100m (£86m) price tag on the winger. Arsenal have long been linked to the 24-year-old star, although they've somewhat cooled their interest to focus on a deal for Eberechi Eze. After Liverpool sold Diaz to Bayern Munich for £65.5m earlier this week, Jermaine Pennant has advised Arne Slot's side to recruit Rodrygo. Wake up to find news on your club in your inbox every morning with Metro's Football Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your team in the link we'll send you so we can get football news tailored to you. 'Liverpool are in the business of signing world-class players,' the former Liverpool winger told Adventure Gamers. 'Real Madrid's Rodrygo looks a fantastic option to replace [Luis Diaz]. 'He's not some young, unstudied talent – he's an experienced and established player as it is and watching him over the years has been exciting. 'He's quick, powerful, direct and very tricky to defend against and you could even say he fits a similar profile to Diaz. 'It'd be a like-for-like replacement and a transfer that I could see the fans really getting behind.' Pennant has also shared his thoughts on Hugo Ekitike, who joined Liverpool in a deal worth an initial £69m from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer. Pennant says that Ekitike reminds him of Alexander Isak – another striker who Liverpool have tried to sign from Newcastle United ahead of the new season – with a £110m bid rejected by the Magpies. 'I think Hugo Ekitike is certainly good enough to be Liverpool's starting number nine this season in the Premier League,' Pennant added. More Trending 'He's got good feet and has a similar stature and style to that of Alexander Isak, it remains to be seen whether he'll be able to put the same kind of numbers up, though. 'He's a good player and with regards to the price tag, it'll only be the maximum number (£79m) if he hits the heights the club has set for him. 'If he does, then it's definitely money well spent. Liverpool will save on a small amount in add-ons if some of those targets aren't reached. 'I think it's a top signing in this window, you can't get a top striker in the current market for under £60-70 million, I'm excited to see how he does.'
