SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WFRV) – A report that a student in Wisconsin had a replica gun in their backpack at school led to a questioning and a swift investigation on Thursday.
According to the Sun Prairie Police Department, the School Resource Officer was notified that a student at West High School had a facsimile firearm, a replica pellet gun of a Glock 19X in their backpack.
Sheriff: 18, 24-year-old arrested out of state in connection to Wisconsin homicide
The student fully cooperated with questioning from authorities and was joined by a parent at the Sun Prairie Police Department. An investigation into the incident determined that the replica was never displayed or used in a threatening way and no ongoing threat is perceived at this time.
The student will be referred for possessing a dangerous weapon on school grounds, as officials emphasized via the release that whether or not it's a replica, any weapon is prohibited on campus.

According to the Minocqua Police Department, officers are actively looking for 36-year-old Scott Moxham, who is reportedly a suspect in a stabbing that happened in the area of Rudolph Road and Woodridge Lane in the Town of Woodruff on August 14. Wautoma adults arrested for alleged repetitive sexual assaults, one accused of incest with stepchild Officers say the alleged stabbing happened around 11:15 p.m. on Thursday, when the victim was flown from the scene for treatment of stab wounds. Moxham reportedly fled the scene before officers arrived and is believed to have been picked up in a vehicle. Moxham is described as a white man, roughly 5'11', weighing 160 pounds, with brown hair. He was last seen wearing jeans and a black hoodie. His last known direction of travel is unknown, officers say. Another false armed robbery report in Fond du Lac County, person arrested It was noted that Moxham should be considered armed and dangerous, and nobody should try to approach or apprehend him. Anyone with relevant information about Moxham's whereabouts is asked to immediately contact the Woodruff Police Department at (715) 356-3234 or 911. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
