Love Island boys unrecognisable with hair transplants in before and after pics

Daily Mirror12-06-2025
The series 12 Love Island stars are beginning their fame journey - but two of the boys hard to recognise in pre-villa pics before undergoing hair transplants
Love Island stars Ben Holbrough and Harry Cooksley look unrecognisable in pre-villa pics, as both have revealed they've undergone a hair transplant.
Ben, 23, underwent the treatment at the age of 22, just one year before heading into the Love Island villa, while 30-year-old Harry travelled to Turkey to have the procedure at 24.

Both Islanders have played a huge part in the shows drama this series, despite only being in the villa for a matter of days. On the first night, Ben, who was coupled up with Shakira, was stolen by American bombshell Toni. This left Shakira with just 24 hours to form a connection with another Islander.

She struck up a connection with Harry, who was originally coupled up with Sophie - who was brutally dumped from the villa on day 2.
However, Shakira and Toni may struggle to recognise their partners in pics before their hair transplants. Before and after results for Ben can be seen in a video posted by 360 Hair Clinic, in Brighton.
Before his appearance in the villa, the clinic posted a video of his journey explaining: "Ben's hair transplant journey was facilitated by us at 360 Hair Clinic, supported by our ongoing treatment plans and 360 Optimum Hair products to maintain thickness, strength, and natural-looking results."
In a separate post, the clinic posted a six month update, in which Ben's dark hair could be seen getting thicker and fuller. "And as you can see on your screens watching Love Island, Ben's hair is looking better than ever," the clinic wrote.

Harry on the other hand, travelled to Turkey around six years ago for his operation - which he called the "perfect experience."
In a YouTube video from the clinic documenting his journey, the star said: 'It was a perfect experience for something that I really wanted to have done and I'm very glad that I found EstePera.' Showing off the before and after results, Harry looked completely unrecognisable with no hair.

It looks like it's set to be another dramatic night for Harry tonight as he finds out Blu and Shakira shared a kiss. It's Dejon who spills the tea, as he tells his friend: 'You know he (Blu) kissed her (Shakira)?'
A shocked Harry then replies: 'No he didn't…I don't believe what I'm hearing.' Harry then asks Shakira about the kiss with Blu before telling her: 'All that matters is I want to pursue things with you.'

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry launch 'calculated bid for relevance' with fresh 'strategy'

As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announce their new 'multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects' with Netflix, an expert has revealed what this really means for the royal couple Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have signed a new Netflix deal for "film and television projects" in their next brand move. While this deal is said to be worth less than their first with the streaming platform, a royal expert revealed that it signals a "strategic reset", with their focus on "relevance". ‌ After weeks of speculation about their future with Netflix, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their new "multi-year, first look" deal with the streaming platform earlier this week. Meghan, who has a partnership with Netflix for her As Ever brand, shared: "We're proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand. ‌ "My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision." It comes after Meghan Markle's birthday 'gimmick' is quietly shelved after major mistake. ‌ Their new "first look" deal with Netflix means that the streaming giant has the first say on any new film or television project of theirs before anyone else. While this is thought to give Harry and Meghan more choice, they will have less investment with Netflix compared to their deal in 2020, which is thought to be worth more than 100 million dollars (£74 million). But there could be a key reason behind their new Netflix deal. PR expert and Celebrity Manager, Mayah Riaz, exclusively told the Mirror: "This deal for Harry and Meghan signals a strategic reset rather than a retreat. While some might frame it as a "climbdown" from their initial mega-deal, I see it as a calculated move to recalibrate their brand narrative. ‌ "Their first Netflix contract was all about shock factor and global curiosity, but now, the focus appears to be sustainability and relevance." On their new deal and what this means for the royal couple, Mayah ( explained: "If the reported figures are accurate (rumoured to be worth around $100m), this new deal is likely smaller than their previous multi-million-dollar agreement. But this isn't necessarily a downgrade as it could reflect a shift towards more targeted projects, lower risk for Netflix, and potentially give more creative control for Harry and Meghan." ‌ During their first deal with Netflix, they released their controversial docuseries, 'Harry and Meghan', where they were highly critical of the Royal Family. Despite this, it became one of the most-watched Netflix documentaries of all time with 23.4 million views. Other projects included Harry's series on Polo, which failed to attract the same number of viewers. Then there was Meghan's cookery and lifestyle show, 'With Love, Meghan', which was released in March but received backlash from numerous critics. When it comes to their latest Netflix deal, all eyes will be on them and what they create next. Sharing her thoughts on this, PR expert Mayah said: "The challenge will be avoiding the "fallen from grace" narrative and instead showing it as an evolution, where they move from sensational exclusives to credible, long-term content creation. If they get this right, it could really strengthen their reputation in both Hollywood and philanthropic circles."

With Love, Meghan returns August 26th on @netflix." ‌ While fans were quick to point out the celebrity guests set to appear on the show, others were stunned by an admission Meghan made about her husband. It comes after reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's new Netflix deal could cause 'concern' for Royal Family. In the last few seconds of the trailer, Meghan is chatting candidly with famous chef José Andrés. She is then seen telling the cook: "Do you know who doesn't like lobster? My husband." ‌ The chef then cheekily responded: "And you married him?!" prompting Meghan to laugh. In the short preview of the second series, Queer Eye star Tan France and Chrissy Teigen make an appearance as guests in Meghan's house. Other celeb cameos include Christina Tosi, Clare Smyth, Daniel Martin, David Chang, Heather Dorak, Jamie Kern Lima, Jay Shetty, José Andrés, Radhi Devlukia and Samin Nosrat. ‌ The trailer showed Meghan cooking and baking with her famous pals. "I love the idea of just spending time together… and finding new ways to show people you care," she says. "There are easy ways to show up, lovingly.' With Love, Meghan, season one was released in March but failed to break into the top 300 most-watched shows on the streaming platform in the first six months of 2025, and was widely panned by critics. ‌ In the eight-part first season of the show, the former Suits actress gives hosting tips and cooks with celebrity friends including The Office star Mindy Kaling, whom Meghan tells she goes by the surname Sussex now. Harry made just one appearance at the end of the first season's final episode when he joined Meghan, her mother Doria Ragland and friends for an outdoor celebratory brunch. The preview comes just hours after Meghan and Harry announced they have signed a second deal with Netflix, after weeks of speculation that their partnership would be coming to an end in September. ‌ Five years ago, Harry and Meghan secured a lucrative contract, thought to be worth more than 100 million dollars (£74 million), with Netflix after quitting as senior working royals in 2020 - but this new extension is seen as a downgrade on their previous exclusive rights deal and is believed to be worth a lot less . Meghan, who has a partnership with Netflix for her As Ever brand, said of the new contract: 'We're proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As Ever brand. "My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.'

Sam Thompson breaks silence on ex Zara's steamy 'hard launch' of Louis Tomlinson romance

Sam Thompson has spoken out after seeing his ex Zara McDermott 'hard launch' her relationship with Louis Tomlinson as he admitted he 'wouldn't wish it on anyone' Sam Thompson has broken his silence after his ex, Zara McDermott, went public with her relationship with Louis Tomlinson, posting a snap of the pair snogging on Instagram. ‌ The Love Island star has been dating the One Direction singer for several months following her break-up with Sam in January, which the Made In Chelsea alum admitted left him 'blindsided'. ‌ Zara, 28, and Louis, 33, have so far kept relatively coy about their relationship, but now Zara has made it 'Insta official' and 33 year old Sam's not happy. It comes after the I'm A Celebrity winner admitted he needed help after their split. ‌ Talking to his pal, Pete Wicks, on their podcast, Staying Relevant, Sam said his phone 'blew up' after Zara posted the snap of her locking lips with Louis last week. He said: "I'm watching some YouTube video and my phone just starts blowing up. I thought I'd been cancelled!' ‌ Sam continued: 'Mate it's dinged up, you know when everyone is like, 'Just checking in mate, is everything ok?' and I'm looking at my phone like 'What is going on?' 'And genuinely you know what it's like when you don't quite know what's happened so you think the worst. Tell you what though, I wouldn't wish a hard launch on my worst enemy though.' It comes after Pete admitted he never liked one of Sam's exes, but wouldn't say which one. ‌ During one episode of their podcast, Pete agreed to take a lie detector test and was asked by Sam: "Have you any disliked any of my previous partners?" Hesitating for a second, he then laughed and said "yes." After he was revealed to be telling the truth Sam squealed: "Yes, truthful!" Earlier in the week, the reality star asked fans for help as he admitted he was struggling post Zara. Talking to the listeners on Hits Radio, he revealed he was using dating app, Hinge. ‌ Sam confessed: "I'm on Hinge everybody. I have decided to give dating apps a go, because the dating world is the trenches out there and I need a bit of help." While Sam had no issues choosing the perfect pictures and videos of himself to show off his best qualities, he admitted that answering the prompts had left him frustrated. The reality TV star joked: "One of them is 'I'd fall for you if...' And I just don't know what I think, to be honest with you I'd fall for you if you say you like me. If you turn round and say I like you, I'm done that's all it takes with me. And 'my cry in the car song?' Anything by One Direction really...."
