Like every year, the whole WWE Universe and fans around the world are in anticipation of two cracking nights of Blockbuster WWE action. All the major Championships are set to be defended at SummerSlam along with some fierce rivalries in process.
Here are the predictions for the five main match ups for SummerSlam 2025
1. Roman Reigns and Jey Uso vs Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed
The 'OTC' Roman Reigns made a swashbuckling return to WWE after a hiatus of almost 4 months in the aid of his Bloodline brother Jey Uso against Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker.
That has resulted in a mouthwatering contest between the four superstars, being finalised for SummerSlam 2025. Last week on RAW, the duo of Uso and Roman were brutally beaten up by Breakker and Reed. While the team of Roman and Jey are definitely favourites with the kind of experience they have, not just as individuals but as a team, the newly formed team of Breakker and Reed are not pushovers.
Prediction: Win for Roman and Jey
2. Solo Sikoa vs Jacob Fatu(United States Championship)
Within a month's time, former Bloodline brothers, Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa became United States Champions, one after the other.
Now, both the burly Samoans are set to face each other in a dangerous Steel Cage match at SummerSlam to determine the US Champion. Earlier, Fatu was arrested on accusation of causing an accident to Solo and the MFT's. As it turned out, it was all staged by the current US Champion Solo.
Prediction: Solo Sikoa retains the US Title.
3. CM Punk vs Gunther (World Heavyweight Championship)
CM Punk defeated Bron Breakker, in a gauntlet match for the number one contendership for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Therefore, he is set to collide against the Champion Gunther at SummerSlam. The two superstars have been going at each other on the mic back and forth for the last few weeks and it has made this match up all the spicier spicy and worthy of watching.
Prediction: Gunther retains the World Title
4. Tiffany Stratton vs Jade Cargill (WWE Women's Championship)
The current WWE Women's Champion, Tiffany Stratton has defended her Championship against the likes of Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax and Trish Stratus, in the past few months. Now, she might be up for her biggest challenge as the Champion, against the powerhouse Jade Cargill. Will Jade win her first World Title in WWE at SummerSlam?
Prediction: Tiffany retains the Championship.
5. Iyo Sky vs Rhea Rhipley vs Naomi
Women's World Champion Iyo Sky is set to defend her Championship against former World champions Rhea Ripley and Naomi, in a fiery Triple Threat match at SummerSlam 2025. Sky has been able to successfully defend her World Championship in the last few months and would look to do the same in this mouthwatering contest.
Prediction: Sky retains the Championship.
6.
John Cena vs Cody Rhodes
(
Undisputed WWE Championship
)
The biggest and the most awaited contest for SummerSlam 2025 is the Undisputed WWE Championship match between John Cena and Cody Rhodes. In what would be the final SummerSlam event for the Champion John, he would look to defend his Title against Cody in a brutal 'Street Fight' match. Cody, who defeated Randy Orton in the final of the King of the King tournament to guarantee himself a World Championship match, is hellbent on becoming a two-time WWE World Champion and also making a statement against the arrogant Cena, for the world to see.
Prediction: Cody defeats John Cena.

WWE RAW results (08/04/2025): Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss retain tag team title, Nikki Bella confronts Becky Lynch, CM Punk interrupts Seth Rollins vs vs LA Knight, and more
WWE RAW (Image via WWE) The August 4th episode of Monday Night RAW was going to see the aftermath of the Biggest Party of the Summer, and that is exactly what fans got. From Seth Rollins and his faction - Oracle, Paul Heyman and his crew, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker, to a face that had taken a backseat for a while - tonight's episode has a lot going on For the show in Center in Brooklyn, New York, appearances by new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, and WWE Women's Tag-Team Champions from SmackDown, Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair, are already set. As is the case with the rematch between Rusev and Sheamus, which is going to take place as well. Let's see what the aftermath of the SummerSlam episode has in store for us. Opening segment of Monday Night RAW (08/04/2025) The episode started with Seth Rollins and his faction walking onto the stage, with the former holding on to his brand-new WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt. Rollins addressed the crowd, gloating about his win. But while this was going on, none other than LA Knight showed up, mocking the others for what happened at SummerSlam. There was a bit of back and forth before Rollins decided he wasn't going to just stand there and listen. He walked out of the ring with his crew, leaving a smirking LA KNIGHT behind. And just when we thought this was done, the RAW General Manager walked in and announced that Rollins would have to pay the price for cheating and defend his title against Knight later tonight. Backstage, Dominik Mysterio - who is walking alongside his Judgment Day stablemates encounters Dragon Lee, and after a confrontation, they have a match set for later tonight. Rusev vs. Sheamus The opening match for tonight saw Rusev and Sheamus come together for a chaotic fight. It was intense from the beginning, as both men wanted this rematch to assert their dominance over the other. The match, though, ended in a draw after a Double Count Out. But both men were unwilling to let go of each other until the very end, and even then, the two continued until officials had to break them up before things could escalate even further. Draw - Double count out. Penta vs. Grayson Waller The next match of the night is Penta vs. Grayson Waller, and as soon as the bell rings, they both are ready. Grayson Waller starts off by shoving Penta, while the latter goes for a waist-lock. The audience sees them trading knees before hitting a double clothesline. Penta then goes for a handspring followed by a Mexican Destroyer, and finally with a corkscrew flip piledriver, Penta gets a pin and win. Penta defeats Grayson Waller via pinfall. WWE Women's Tag Team Championship As the current winners of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss , walk in together to celebrate their victory. But soon enough, the Judgment Day duo of Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez interrupt to challenge the Alliance of Convenience. They get the permission from Pearce for an official fight, but Flair and Bliss make quick work of their opponents. And after Bliss hits a Sister Abigail on Perez, it's an easy win to retain their championship. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss defeat Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez via pinfall. Backstage, Iyo Sky is seen chatting with the Kabuki Warriors in Japanese before Rhea Ripley comes in, asking to talk to her. She said she knows Iyo went to Adam Pearce to get a singles rematch, and Iyo reminds her that she wasn't the one who got pinned. To this, Ripley said nothing would make her happier than Iyo beating Naomi in a singles match so that Mami can come for Iyo herself. Iyo just answers cheekily that she would never be able to beat her before walking away. Elsewhere, Bayley is seen waiting for Lyra Valkyria, who essentially lost the match against Becky Lynch at Summerslam after getting knocked off by Bayley. The latter tries to apologize, but Valkyria is having none of it and walks off without saying more. Dominik Mysterio vs. Dragon Lee Dominik Mysterio goes for the first hit, but it's Dragon Lee who seems to have more power in this fight. But don't underestimate Dirty Dom, who chokes Lee on the middle rope and goes for a 619. Though Lee dodged that and almost gained the upper hand on his opponent, the appearance of not one but three El Grande Americanos led him to be confused, and taking advantage of this confusion, Mysterio got his pin and win. Dominik Mysterio defeats Dragon Lee to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Becky Lynch comes in after her win against Lyra Valkyria at SummerSlam to address the audience, saying she is open to new competition. And just then a familiar music plays and in walks Nikki Bella. They exchange a couple of jabs, as Nikki calls Lynch a disappointment. Lynch finally had had enough of the Hall of Famer, and walked off the stage, but not before sucker punching Bella. Backstage, Naomi was interviewed about her big win at Summerslam, where she revealed that next week, she has a one-on-one fight with Iyo Sky. Just then, Stephanie Vaquer comes in to remind Naomi that Vaquer will be challenging a title at Clash in Paris, no matter who is holding the belt. Naomi says it will be her. Elsewhere, Becky Lynch, after her confrontation on stage with Nikki Bella, encounters Natalya and her Alpha Academy. Natalya challenges The Man for a match, and though she accepts, it's not against Neidhart but Maxxine Dupri. WWE World Heavyweight Championship Finally, the stage is set for the last match of the night - Seth Rollins vs. LA Knight. After challenging the current and brand new World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, and having the fight made official by RAW GM, Adam Pearce, Knight is finally on stage to face his opponent. It's pretty intense from the beginning, and Rollins looks like he is in control of the situation. Knight is taking on hits, and would have taken more if CM Punk had not jumped the barricade to attack The Visionary. Seth Rollins wins by Disqualification. Everyone is here, The Vision attacks CM Punk for attacking Rollins as Bron Breakker comes running in like a bull to hit Punk with a Spear. LA Knight is also hit in the process. The Vision are the winners of the night, but oh well! None other than Roman Reigns is here. He takes out both Bronson Reed and Breakker as Rollins watches from inside the ring. It doesn't take long for The Vision to destroy Reigns though, while Heyman watches from the sideline with satisfaction. The night comes to an end. Seth Rollins reveals reason behind faking knee injury on WWE Raw
Seth Rollins has finally revealed the truth behind his dramatic knee injury on WWE Raw , admitting it was all part of a masterfully planned deception. During Monday night's episode in Brooklyn, Rollins explained that faking the injury was a strategic move designed to lull his rivals into a false sense of security. The ruse, which he dubbed 'The Ruse of the Century', began three weeks earlier at Saturday Night's Main Event following his match with LA Knight . After initially declining, Rollins was forced into a match by Raw GM Adam Pearce, with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed banned from ringside in retaliation for the deception. — WWE (@WWE) Rollins admitted the commitment to the lie was grueling. "I did everything-gym, preschool drop-offs, beach trips, dinners-all on crutches," he said. "Even my wife was frustrated. She had to lie to friends and family. My daughter thought it was just a fun game." When Did WWE Legal Clear Brock Lesnar For His Return At SummerSlam? Revealed
Last Updated: Brock Lesnar returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2025 after a two-year hiatus due to legal issues, setting up a potential feud with John Cena during Cena's farewell tour. Brock Lesnar has made a spectacular return to WWE, ending his two-year hiatus in dramatic fashion at the conclusion of SummerSlam 2025. Known as 'The Beast Incarnate," Lesnar had been away from the ring due to his involvement in the Janel Grant–Vince McMahon lawsuit. Now that the legal matters are resolved, Lesnar is back in WWE storylines, sparking significant excitement. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reported that Lesnar was legally cleared to return by WWE about four weeks before his SummerSlam comeback. Meltzer stated, 'Four weeks ago, WWE Legal cleared him (Brock Lesnar)" and noted that WWE avoided press conferences to keep his return a secret. Lesnar's last WWE appearance was at SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes. Appropriately, he made his comeback just as Rhodes defeated John Cena in a brutal Street Fight to win the Undisputed WWE Championship on Night 2 of SummerSlam 2025. As Cena stood alone, Lesnar's entrance music played, stunning the crowd. He entered the ring and delivered a devastating F-5 to Cena, setting the stage for a high-profile feud. Triple H later revealed that Cena specifically requested to work with Lesnar during his farewell tour. A Lesnar vs. Cena showdown now seems likely to be his first major programme. However, Cena is not the only potential target. In January 2024, former WWE employee Janel Grant sued McMahon, alleging that the wrestling company's founder was involved in sex trafficking and subjected her to sexual acts characterised by 'extreme cruelty and degradation." The lawsuit also mentions Lesnar, alleging that McMahon offered Grant to him for sexual encounters. A spokesperson told USA TODAY Sports that Lesnar's return is an 'attempt to sweep misconduct under the rug." 'For far too long, abuse was allowed to thrive under WWE's leadership. Instead of addressing this issue, WWE has done nothing to hold those responsible accountable. This attempt to sweep misconduct under the rug will backfire," the spokesperson said. 'We look forward to the full set of facts, including those concerning Mr. Lesnar, being revealed in a court of law where they belong." view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
