Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur LIVE: Women's Super League latest score, goals and updates from fixture
The new Women's Super League marks the start of a new era for reigning champions Chelsea, with long-serving boss Emma Hayes having departed in summer to start a new adventure with the USA Women's team.
Last year they just about did enough to claim the title on goal difference ahead of Manchester City, while Arsenal will again hope to make it a three-horse race for the WSL title. Meanwhile Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham will hope to progress after further rebuilding this summer.
Crystal Palace were promoted to replace Bristol City in the top flight, while on a wider note, the league is now under the management and operation of a new organisation set up to lead women's football towards further growth and progression, with Nikki Doucet overseeing both the WSL and Championship in a new phase for the game.

Liverpool 'plotting swoop for Champions League-winning PSG star if priced out of a move for Alexander Isak' - with Premier League champions 'set to continue summer spending spree'
Liverpool are far from done with their summer splurge, according to a report, and are plotting a swoop for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola. The Premier League champions are finalising a deal for Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz, which is expected to make him the most expensive signing in British history. The Reds have also continued to be linked with Newcastle's Alexander Isak, though a deal for the Magpies striker could exceed the £126million mooted to sign Wirtz. If Newcastle, who are set for a financial windfall after qualifying for the Champions League, refuse to budge on a likely £150m valuation for the Swedish striker, the Reds may turn their attention to Barcola, according to The Sun. Reports out of Germany this week have claimed that Bayern Munich has identified the 22-year-old as a target, with his future unclear in Paris. And it has now been claimed that the Merseyside club are prepared to battle with the German giants once again this summer, following their tussle over Wirtz. Having begun the season in Luis Enrique's starting XI, Barcola found himself on the bench for the Champions League final, with his replacement Desire Doue producing a Man of the Match-winning performance in the 5-0 demolition of Inter Milan. Liverpool will look to raise funds for further summer additions - following the £29.5m arrival of Jeremie Frimpong and £45m outlay expected on Milos Kerkez - by offloading Darwin Nunez. The Uruguayan looks set to leave Anfield after struggling to nail down a place in Arne Slot's starting XI, with Luis Diaz often depolyed out of position in the centre of attack during the Reds' Premier League title-winning campaign.

Liverpool eyeing move for £100m PSG forward after record Florian Wirtz deal
Liverpool do not intend to stop their summer spending after signing Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz, eyeing up another big-money transfer. The Reds are doing anything but resting on their laurels after their impressive Premier League title win last season. Frimpong has already been brought in from Bayer Leverkusen in a £29.5m deal, while Wirtz is set to make the same trip in a club record signing due to be worth around £127m. The move for the German is a signal of intent from Liverpool, beating the likes of Manchester City and Bayern Munich to his signature, and they are ready to lay down another marker in the transfer market. The Sun report that Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola is still a target for the Premier League champions this summer. The 22-year-old is also on Bayern's radar, in fact he has been labelled their number one target, but the Reds are keen to beat the German giants to him just as they did with Wirtz. The Frenchman has been valued at £100m, although he has fallen down the pecking order at PSG, which is why interested parties are circling. The former Lyon man was on the bench for PSG's 5-0 demolition of Inter Milan in the Champions League final, only coming on for the last 27 minutes. He remained a regular in Luis Enrique's team as he made 58 appearances in all competitions over the campaign, just not necessarily in the starting XI. The front three of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue has taken prominence and suggests Barcola could now be available with a huge bid. The Magpies do not want to sell their star striker and will only be moved by a bid in the region of £150m, which will be too much for the Reds after signing Wirtz. Barcola will become the more achievable target if Newcastle stick to their huge asking price for Isak. With a substantial spending spree going on at Anfield, the Reds also need to sell players this summer. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Caoimhin Kelleher have already left for Real Madrid and Brentford respectively, but there will need to be more outgoings. More Trending Darwin Nunez is available for transfer and expected to leave, while Liverpool will also consider bids for Diogo Jota and possibly Luis Diaz as Arne Slot revamps his front line. Al Hilal had a bid for Nunez rejected in January and remain interested in the Uruguayan, while Atletico Madrid and Napoli are both considering making offers. Luis Diaz has been continually linked with Barcelona this summer and the Reds turned down an approach, but the situation could still change. Revealed: Trent Alexander Arnold's new shirt number at Real Madrid ahead of Club World Cup after controversial Liverpool exit
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been handed his new shirt number at Real Madrid ahead of the Club World Cup. The right back is in line to make his debut for the Spanish giants next Wednesday when they face Al-Hilal in their first group game after Real paid Liverpool £10m to release him from his contract early so he could play in the tournament. Alexander-Arnold wore the No 66 shirt at Liverpool, but this will not be an option at Real due to LaLiga rules stating that shirt numbers must fall between 1 and 25. It has now been confirmed that Alexander-Arnold will wear the No 12 shirt at his new club. The name on the back of his shirt will also change and now read 'Trent' rather than 'Alexander-Arnold'. The 26-year-old is due to be unveiled as a Madrid player on Thursday before the team jet off to the US to compete in the group stage where they are scheduled to face Al-Hilal, Pachuca and Red Bull Salzburg. It will be Alexander-Arnold's first chance to impress new manager Xabi Alonso, with the Spaniard taking over from Carlo Ancelotti. 🚨🏴 OFFICIAL: Trent Alexander-Arnold will wear number 12 at Real Madrid. — Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) June 11, 2025 🚨🏆 Real Madrid's squad list for the Club World Cup + official shirt numbers of the players. — Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) June 11, 2025 Fans will be eager to see how Alexander-Arnold settles at Madrid following his controversial Liverpool exit. Alexander-Arnold opted to run down his contract to leave his boyhood club on a free transfer at the end of the season, leading to an angry response from some Liverpool fans. After announcing his decision to leave in early May, Alexander-Arnold was booed by his own supporters when he came off the bench during a 2-2 draw with Arsenal at Anfield. A number of his team-mates and Arne Slot leapt to his defence after that game as they asked fans to remember his previous years of service. The England international did not feature in Liverpool's next game - a 3-2 away defeat by Brighton - but did come on as a half-time substitute on the final day against Crystal Palace. On that occasion, he received a much better reception from supporters, and he was then cheered by most fans when he went up to collect his medal during the post-match presentation as Liverpool lifted the Premier League trophy. Alexander-Arnold broke down in tears as he did a lap of honour to thank fans after the presentation, and he was seen crying again during Liverpool's open-top bus parade the following day. But he has never left Merseyside behind for a new life in the Spanish capital, and he is just days away from making his debut for Real in his No 12 jersey.
