Nebraska football receives votes in first US LBM Coaches Poll of the season
"The US LBM Coaches Poll is conducted weekly throughout the regular season using a panel of head coaches at Football Bowl Subdivision schools. The panel is chosen by random draw, conference by conference plus independents, from a pool of coaches who have indicated to the American Football Coaches Association their willingness to participate. Each coach submits a Top 25 with a first-place vote worth 25 points, second place 24, and so on down to one point for 25th."
It should also be noted that Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule is listed as a voter in the 2025 edition of the poll. Texas was ranked No. 1, followed by Ohio State at No. 2 and Penn State at No. 3. Find the entire poll below.

Notre Dame football has had great success recruiting its neighboring state of Illinois, and in the 2027 cycle they are trying to continue that trend. Tavares Harrington, a 6-foot, 3-inch and 175-pound cornerback announced on Wednesday what his plans will be for this fall, and will be in South Bend as the Irish take on Texas A&M on Sept. 13th according to Rivals. He's one of the nation's top players, as the 247Sports Composite has him as the No. 99 overall prospect in the 2027 class. Notre Dame is battling multiple others schools for Harrington such as Miami, Georgia, Michigan, Auburn, Alabama and few others. The visits this fall will go a long way in impressing the star corner, as you have to believe that the teams who he will be visiting are near the top of his list. The injury news in Pittsburgh keeps coming — and you can't help but feel for Steelers DT Dean Lowry, who took to social media to reveal his season-ending ACL injury. While Lowry was placed on the Reserve/Injured List a few days prior, it was his message on Instagram that caught fans' attention — one of understanding that there are risks required when playing football. "During a training camp practice last week I sustained an ACL injury that will likely end my season," Lowry wrote on Instagram. "Hard to comprehend the thoughts and emotions I have felt since then. Heartbroken I won't get to fully experience the highs and lows of an NFL season with a group I love going to work with.
