Isle of Man TT 2025: Today's schedule, results, TV channel and weather forecast
Poor weather during practice week resulted in the opening races being moved to Monday to allow an additional full-day qualifying session.
Michael Dunlop took his tally of wins to 32 TT victories after taking the spoils in both Supersport races as well as the first Supertwin race. Last year he became the most successful rider in history, overtaking his uncle, Joey Dunlop, at the top of the wins table.
Dunlop is the favourite to clean up this year, however, the newly dubbed 'Big Four' will be back down to three this week, with 14-time TT winner Peter Hickman ruled out after suffering a 140mph crash last Friday that caused chest, back, arm and facial injuries.

Hickman and Davey Todd had been at a significant disadvantage this year after they split from the highly successful FHO Racing team, going it alone with the creation of their own 8TEN Racing – named after their TT start numbers – just three months out from the event.

How can I watch the Isle of Man TT?
Races will be shown live on TT+ via the official Isle of Man TT Races website. Live passes cost £23.99 for access to every race this year.

Who are the favourites?
With 29 wins to his name, three more than any other rider, Michael Dunlop is the man many are expecting to set the pace in 2025. However, it has not all been smooth sailing for the Ballymoney rider, as he has switched from the Honda CBR1000RR that brought him victory in the 2023 Superbike TT to the BMW M1000RR in an effort to dominate all solo categories throughout the week. Dunlop also suffered from effects of a crash at the North West 200 earlier this month, although he appeared to shake them off and claim three wins.
Hickman and Todd shared the superbike spoils last year by winning the Superbike TT and Senior TT respectively, though both have suffered teething issues since starting their own team this year and Todd has revealed they have a back-up plan to run the Superstock bike – a production-based machine that theoretically should be marginally slower than the Superbike – if they cannot find a set-up that works in practice.
That could play into the hands of Harrison, who is the most settled of the 'Big Four' riders as he returns with the Honda Racing team having also enjoyed a competitive North West 200 meet. Another contender who could come into contention is Ian Hutchinson, the first man to win five TTs in one week, who claimed a joyous podium finish at the North West 200 having gone through the ordeal of more than 40 operations on his leg over the course of the last 15 years and recovering from a stroke.
John McGuinness will lead the Superbike, Superstock and Senior TT races away from the No 1 spot as he continues at the age of 53, while in the Supertwin category Mike Browne will be one to watch after podium-finishes in the last two years – Browne will also replace Jamie Coward at the KTS Racing team for the 1000cc races after Coward suffered injuries at the North West 200.
How many riders have died at the TT?
The TT attracts so much attention largely because of the risk and danger it poses, providing an adrenaline fix for riders and fans watching. Over the course of 117 years since the inaugural TT in 1907, 156 riders have died while racing at the TT, and 270 riders have lost their lives on the Mountain Course when the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT are also considered. In both 1970 and 2022 six riders were killed, making them the two deadliest years in the event's history.
What is the weather forecast?
The delays seen through qualifying week look set to continue. Unsettled weather is expected over the next few days with strong-to-gale force winds resulting in the Mountain Road remaining closed on Monday night.
Organisers have also warned those watching on the island to ensure that belongings are secured to prevent them from being blown on to the track during races.
However, brighter skies are forecast as the week progresses although there is a chance of rain on Friday and Saturday that may impact the back-end of the schedule.

Louis Rees-Zammit to return to rugby after leaving NFL
Welsh rugby star Louis Rees-Zammit is giving up American football. Rees-Zammit announced on social media Thursday that he is leaving the NFL and returning to rugby. 'It's been a great experience, but it's time to come home,' he wrote. 'I've decided that this is the best time to make this decision to give myself time to get everything in place for next season. Rees-Zammit, 24, joined the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars last September and changed positions, switching from running back to receiver in hopes of finding his way onto the playing field. He previously spent five months working as a running back with Kansas City. But he made little progress and was considered a long shot at playing for the Jags in 2025. Rees-Zammit had missed the last five practices with a lower back injury. He was part of the NFL's International Player Pathway Program, which is designed to give players from other countries a chance. NFL teams can have up to 16 players on their practice squad and get an extra spot for a player from the Pathway Program. Rees-Zammit spent all of last season on Jacksonville's practice squad. Practice squad players work the same amount as guys on the 53-man roster, but they don't get paid as much and would need to be promoted to the active roster to play in a game. It was an opportunity to practice with the team while essentially waiting for an injury to open up a roster spot. For Rees-Zammit, it gave one of the best wingers in rugby for years an opportunity to pursue his dream of playing in the NFL. His father's 'first love of sport' was American football, and the then-Washington Redskins were their team. But making the leap across the Atlantic and into the NFL was never something that everyone back home understood.

Fury as travellers 'break in' to cricket club before camping on the pitch and 'throwing rocks' at passers-by
Locals have been left 'heartbroken' after their cricket club's pitch was 'broken into' by travellers parking vans on the pitch. Plymstock Cricket Club says a 'group of travellers' gained access to their green on July 28 and have since set up an unauthorised encampment on the field. The club, which is based in Plymouth, claimed members of the group have been 'throwing rocks' at passers-by and warned residents to 'stay clear and stay safe'. It says that as a result of the incursion it has had to cancel all fixtures 'for the foreseeable future', with the tennis and football teams also affected. In a statement on social media, the club said: 'Unfortunately our pitch has been broken onto and we now have a group of travellers setting up camp. 'Do no approach the ground as they have been throwing rocks at people. Everyone stay clear and stay safe.' Aerial drone footage shows 20 caravans parked on the club's cricket pitch, with vans and cars also on the green. Lee Garlick, who took the photos, says he was approached by children in a matter of minutes after setting his drone into the sky. 'I parked up in the car park and launched my drone,' he said. 'Within a few minutes, some kids came over and asked what I was doing, so I told them.' He claims shortly after, teenagers, who were around 14 to 16 years of age approached asking similar questions as to why he was flying the drone, claiming it was against the law. 'I again, explained and informed them of the law and I was entitled to do what I was doing,' he said. 'They didn't like this and told me to f*** off and stay away before something happens.' He was also told to 'f*** off and to go play with [his] toy somewhere else' by some vehicles leaving the encampment. 'I don't intimidate easily, so I stayed, finished what I was doing and then left,' he added. The club said the recent development was 'absolutely heart-breaking' as they recently 'put a lot of effort into improving [their] pitch and facilities'. They told the BBC: 'This is going to be a massive step backwards. 'We have been in touch with the council and MP regarding this and hope that they can be moved on soon as this is a very active sports facility used by many in the community.' A Devon and Cornwall spokesperson said: 'We are aware of an unauthorised encampment at Dean Cross, Plymstock and are liaising with the council in relation to this. 'Officers have attended the site and engaged with the group.'

Former Wales wing Louis Rees-Zammit announces return to rugby after leaving NFL
Former Wales winger Louis Rees-Zammit has announced that he plans to return to rugby after spending 18 months in the NFL. Rees-Zammit signed an active roster deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the 2025 season after being part of their practice squad for the 2024 season and travelled to London for the games against the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots in October. The 24-year-old made 32 appearances for Wales before announcing in January 2024 that he would retire from rugby union in order to pursue his dream of playing in the NFL via its International Player Pathway Program. Rees-Zammit said in a post on Instagram: 'I've got an exciting announcement to make! I've decided to leave the NFL and return to rugby! 'It's been a great experience, but it's time to come home. I've decided that this is the best time to make this decision to give myself time to get everything in place for next season. 'There's only one thing that's on my mind, that's coming back to rugby and doing what I do best. I can't explain how excited I am!! 'There'll be more news to come soon but for now, see you soon rugby fans.' The news is likely to come as a welcome boost to recently-appointed Wales head coach Steve Tandy, who takes over a side that only ended an 18-match losing streak that lasted almost two years with a hard-fought win over Japan last month.
