Kim Kardashian and Fausto Puglisi on How the New Roberto Cavalli x Skims Swim Collection Came to Be: 'I DM'd Him'
Kim Kardashian came across a beloved pair of lace-up pants by Roberto Cavalli on a recent closet deep-dive. The pants' opulent prints were fresh in her mind as she began planning a new Skims swim collection. 'I was looking back through old vacation pictures, and so many of the pieces I wore were Cavalli,' she remembers on a recent Friday morning, chatting from her home in Los Angeles. 'Skims can be really simple; it's all about the fits and the materials and the way they make you feel, but when you go on vacation sometimes you want something different. We were making our own prints and I was just thinking, 'You know what? There has to be some way to do a Skims Cavalli collab…' And where there's a will, there's a way—or in this case, an Instagram DM. 'I DM'd Fausto, 'Hey what do you think of this idea?'' 'I was in heaven. Heaven!' answers Fausto Puglisi, Roberto Cavalli's creative director, Zooming from a sunny corner of a Paris hotel. The pair immediately got to work. 'It was just so organic, and so easy,' Kardashian adds. 'I was a fan of Fausto when he had his own line, and I love what he's been doing with Cavalli. We just get each other.' The Roberto Cavalli and Skims Limited-Edition Swim collaboration launches on June 27, and features a wide-array of vacation-ready pieces, including swimsuits, cover-ups, and dresses for dinners out on the town, all in a selection of three classically Cavalli patterns: a zebra print, a vintage-inspired flora and fauna on a turquoise background, and a tiger print that's a photorealistic motif of an actual big cat. The last came straight from Kardashian's vacation memories. 'It was a dress that I wore when I was in Mexico, and I just wanted it to be a part of the collection,' she recalls. 'To see that one in a snatched one-piece bathing suit… I just love it.' There's an overall sense of 'going for it' to the collaboration—after all, neither Kardashian nor the Cavalli brand are known for blending into the background. 'Fausto and his team presented a handful of prints—the floral print with the birds, [they showed it] in black or white or that turquoise color, and I said to the team, 'we're going for it!' I love the turquoise.'

Bruce Willis' Daughter Tallulah Willis Just Defended Posting Photos Of Her 'Vulnerable' Dad Following His Dementia Diagnosis
Bruce Willis' daughter Tallulah Willis has defended sharing photos of her 'vulnerable' father on social media following his dementia diagnosis. For context, Hollywood star Bruce, now 70, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023, a year after he was diagnosed with aphasia, which impacts somebody's ability to understand or produce speech. Bruce's family previously shared that the dementia impacts his ability to communicate, and his ex-wife, Demi Moore, shared an update on how he is doing back in October. The couple split in 2000 but have maintained a close friendship, in part due to their shared children. 'The disease is what the disease is. And I think you have to be in real deep acceptance of what that is. But for where he's at, he is stable," Demi said at the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival. 'What I always encourage is to just meet them where they're at. When we're holding on to what was, I think it's a losing game.' Related: After Signing A $125-Million SiriusXM Deal, Alex Cooper Was Just Asked If She Thinks About Her Former "Call Her Daddy" Co-Host Sofia Franklyn Then, earlier this month, Bruce's daughter Rumer Willis opened up about how Bruce's diagnosis impacts her in an emotional Instagram statement that she posted on Father's Day. Alongside a selection of photos of herself and Bruce, Rumer wrote: 'Today is hard, I feel a deep ache in my chest to talk to you and tell you everything I'm doing and what's going on in my life.' 'To hug you and ask you about life and your stories and struggles and successes,' she went on. 'I wish I asked you more questions while you could still tell me about it all. But I know you wouldn't want me to be sad today so I'll try to just be grateful reminding myself how lucky I am that you're my dad and that you're still with me and I can still hold you and hug you and kiss your cheek and rub your head I can tell you stories.' Referencing her two-year-old daughter Louetta, Rumer added: 'I can watch the way your eyes light up when you see Louetta I will be grateful for every moment I have with you. I love you so much dad happy Father's Day. Sending love to all those who are in the boat with me or have lost their fathers.' Related: 12 Awkward And Outrageous Celebrity Moments From This Week That Will Have You Cringing And on Sunday, Rumer's sister Tallulah divided her 450k Instagram followers when she shared a selection of photos of herself and her fiancé, Justin Acee, alongside the caption: 'Sunday funday at Grams ! Grateful 🕊️' View this photo on Instagram In the first photo in the carousel, Tallulah can be seen sitting on the floor and holding her dad's hand while they smile at one another. In another, she is hugging Bruce and looks somewhat emotional, with Justin posing next to the star in the third photo. While most of Tallulah's followers welcomed this glimpse of Bruce, some questioned whether it was ethically right for her to share them. One user commented: 'I don't think you should expose your dad to the public! He's vulnerable! And some things should be kept private! You don't have his permission to post it!' And Tallulah took it upon herself to address the criticism by replying to this comment, explaining: 'hi. I hear that. As a family we use our discretion when posting. Today was a great day filled with smiles. I made the judgement call to show that to the world, because I know what he means to everyone.' Her words struck a chord with many, who praised Tallulah for having this approach. One person wrote: 'As a caregiver for my mom, who battled Alzheimer's for over 10 years, your posts are a beautiful way of showing the joy in the small moments. Having a network of families who share this experience, and who are NOT judgmental, is everything. Those making negative comments hopefully will never have to go through this. I wish you all the best. ❤️' 'Thanks for sharing Bruce with us. It's good to see his smile and yours as well,' somebody else added. Another commented: 'This is a loving picture. There should be no criticism of her posting this picture. Bruce and his daughter are raising awareness, so this can be cured someday.' While one more wrote: 'It's really generous to let us see these moments, because you know how much we love him, too. ❤️' Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
