Jermaine Dupri Pleads For Offset, Quavo To Reunite: 'They're Better Together'

Jermaine Dupri is calling for former Migos members Offset and Quavo to reunite and rejoin forces, as he believes the pair's chemistry outweighs their individual talents as artists. During a recent appearance on the BagFuel podcast, legendary producer and So So Def founder Jermaine Dupri spoke candidly about the fallout from the Migos' breakup and how it impacted Atlanta's Hip-Hop scene. Dupri, a longtime supporter of the influential rap trio, emphasized the cultural and creative loss the city experienced following the departure of Offset from the group, which also included Quavo and the late Takeoff. 'That hurt a lot of the city, period,' he explained. 'The Migos breaking up was a bad situation for Atlanta because they was moving — and I think they're better together anyway, me personally.' Dupri urged Offset and Quavo to settle their differences and consider reuniting as a duo, particularly in the wake of Takeoff's tragic passing in 2022. He expressed that the Migos, even as a pair, still have the potential to reclaim their collective magic and restore a piece of Atlanta's signature sound. 'It was really crazy for us. I ain't think Atlanta ni**as was gonna die,' Dupri recalled. 'An Atlanta rapper dying felt like 'Aw damn, what the f**k is going on?' It felt crazy to me.' Having championed the Migos since their breakout in the mid-2010s, Dupri has long seen them as torchbearers for the city's next generation of rap stars. Their signature flows, infectious hooks, and group chemistry helped define Atlanta's influence on mainstream Hip-Hop over the past decade. His call for reconciliation reflects a broader sentiment among fans and artists alike who feel the void left by their separation, and hope to see that energy revived. Dupri's comments serve not only as a tribute to what the group achieved but as a plea to preserve and build on that legacy. Offset Speaks To Quavo 'Every Other Week' Since Takeoff's Death

Offset has set the record straight, letting fans know there's no more beef between him and Quavo, especially in the wake of losing their beloved Migos groupmate, Takeoff. Set recently pulled up to the 7PM in Brooklyn With Carmelo Anthony podcast, where he opened up about grieving, family dynamics, and what's next as he gears up for the release of his third solo album, Kiari. During the heartfelt conversation, Offset made it clear that whatever tension once existed between him and Quavo is now behind them. 'We holla at each other every other week,' he said, brushing off the internet drama. 'That's family at the end of the day. You're gonna bump heads with your family sometimes, but ain't nobody playing with me, ain't nobody playing with him … nobody.' Watch below at the 31:10 mark. The two Atlanta rap stars went their separate ways shortly before Takeoff was tragically shot and killed in Houston in 2022. At that time, Quavo and Takeoff had formed the duo Unc & Phew and released their album Only Built For Inflinity Links. Offset had dropped his solo LP, Set it Off in the following year, which marked the same year that the group officially disbanded. Offset shared that the most recent reconnection with Quavo took place on June 18, which would have been Takeoff's 31st birthday. He stressed that Take was the glue who held them all together as he always brought 'peace' and was trying to mediate when their egos would clash. 'Buddy ain't trying to argue. He don't want you to do nothing. He's just peaceful, bruh,' Offset reflected on Takeoff's energy and presence. 'He still be around though. You feel him.' Fans once speculated beef between Quavo and Offset, especially after reports surfaced of a backstage fight at the 2023 Grammy Awards. The two, however, stood in solidarity at the BET Awards that same year and performed 'Bad and Boujee' in tribute to Takeoff. Take a look at Offset speaking on the current status of him and Quavo's friendship above.
