Good Morning Britain star fights back tears as they issue apology
Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins was left fighting back tears on the ITV show during Tuesday's instalment.
Tuesday's (July 15) episode of Good Morning Britain was particularly poignant as hosts Charlotte Hawkins and Richard Madeley interviewed Tristan, a man who recently lost his wife to breast cancer.
Dr Susan Michaelis, died last week after a 14-year battle with lobular breast cancer. Over the past few years, she had been a staunch advocate for research into the disease.
Charlotte Hawkins appeared deeply moved during the conversation with Tristan, her voice wavering with emotion as the segment concluded.
Tristan expressed his gratitude on air, saying: "Thank you to all the women who have this disease, for giving it some airtime."
To which Richard Madeley responded: "Oh, it's you that deserves the thanks."

Her voice began to break as she fought back tears, continuing: "I know she would be so proud of you continuing this fight.
"Sorry, it's one of things that have effected a lot of people this morning."
Tristan appeared on Good Morning Britain to raise awareness of the cancer
Tristan discussed the Lobular Moon Shot Project, a campaign initiated by his late wife in 2023 with the goal of raising £20m for research into invasive lobular breast cancer, emphasising its political support and his commitment to securing funding for researchers, reports the Mirror.
Tragically, she died last Wednesday, with an announcement stating she was in the company of her husband and dear friends, proudly wearing her cherished Lobular Moon Shot Project tee.

Emmerdale fans convinced soap has confirmed another death after grave clue
Emmerdale viewers believe there's another shocking death on the cards for the Dingles, after spotting something about a recent graveside scenes after Nate Robinson's funeral Fans of Emmerdale fear an autumn or winter death has been confirmed by a worrying scene on the ITV soap. Just last week we saw Cain Dingle's flashforward scenes from December appear to finally play out. But some inconsistencies within the past and present day scenes left fans convinced a twist was on the cards. In fact, some viewers now believe Cain's flashforward, initially shown in the New Year episodes, has yet to air after all. It was assumed the scene would be the funeral of his tragic son Nate Robinson, who was killed off in a major twist. At the time of the flashforward, filmed last winter, we did not know Nate was dead so fans were left guessing whose funeral it was. Nate's body was found a few months ago and his funeral took place last Thursday on the ITV soap. In the episode we saw Cain at his son's grave, mourning the loss of Nate with Tracy Robinson soon joining Cain. This appeared to be the flashforward finally playing out, looking very similiar. The only thing is there were some differences including Cain's facial expression, the fact he was wearing a big coat in the first clip and not in the latest one, and even the position of the graves and the flowers there were different. Tracy also didn't feature in the first scene. Emmerdale 'lets slip' how killer John gets found out - and it'll happen very soon Now this can all be put down to continuity errors or even the fact that the scenes were filmed in different seasons, and things were being kept secret. The flashforwards would have been filmed around November time, when it was autumn/winter and very cold. This would explain the coat, and the darker sky and the frost on the trees. We didn't know Nate was dead then too, so they would never have included things like the "daddy" flowers. The whole scene wouldn't match identically surely too, as the former scene was filmed specifically for the flashforward countdown before the actual scene aired last week. But some fans are convinced that the differences between the scenes prove there's another death and a funeral on the cards. Wondering if another scene will see Cain mourn later this year, they think there will be another scene of him in a coat mourning someone that isn't Nate. Fans are now speculating Cain's granddaughter Sarah Sugden could sadly pass away amid her recent health battle, while another prediction is the death of Charity Dingle, the mother of Cain's daughter Debbie. Taking to X, one fan said: "I think it's Sarah's," as another said: "I still think Sarah and I think it will be around Christmas time." A third fan posted: "Not Nate's grave, I think it will be Sarah's." A further post read: "I'm becoming more and more convinced it's Charity or Sarah's grave." One fan said: "The grave we saw Cain crying over wasn't Nate's. I wonder who it is I'm dying to know now. Unless he goes back to the grave and cries on his own then." It was the coat that sparked the most concern, with one writing: "He's got a coat on in the flash forward... gonna be a autumn/winter episode." Another agreed: "In the flash forward Cain had a thick coat on when he was stood at the grave like it was cold weather he didn't have a thick coat on at Nate's." The comments kept on coming with a tweet reading: "The two scenes are different seasons so have a feeling it be towards Christmas that we see this as there frost on the flash forward scene. The one we just saw is in summer." Other fans were sure it was Nate's though, putting the differences down to continuity or the time of year of filming.

Love Island's Harrison Solomon and Lauren Wood to 'REUNITE for the first time on live TV' since he quit the villa to be together .... after making his first public UK appearance WITHOUT her
Love Island's Harrison Solomon and Lauren Wood will be reunited on live TV after he dramatically quit the villa for them to be together. The footballer, 22, left the show in scenes which aired on Friday night in order to his join love interest, 26, who had been dumped at the beginning of the episode. Now according to The Sun the pair will come face-to-face as guests on Sunday's spin-off Aftersun following the main show. MailOnline have contacted ITV for comment. The state of their relationship is currently unknown and despite his huge gesture to leave the island Harrison has not been pictured with Lauren since his return to the UK. However he was spotted on a boys' night as he attended Wembley Stadium to see Oleksandr Usyk take on Daniel for the heavyweight boxing championship on Saturday. Harrison cut a stylish figure in a white oversized sports shirt and wide legged jeans as he joined close pal and Celebrity Aesthtic Dr Rosh. The footballer left the show in scenes which aired on Friday night in order to his join love interest (pictured) who had been dumped at the beginning of the episode. Despite his shock and premature exit from the Love Island villa, the hunk appeared in great spirits while heading to take his seat for the much-anticipated match. It comes after Harrison broke his silence on his famous love triangle with Lauren and Toni Laites and if he regretted having sex on TV. Friday saw new bombshell Angel Swift make a dramatic entrance and couple up with Ty Isherwood, which left Lauren single and immediately axed, though she quickly begged Harrison to leave with her. After sleeping on the decision, Harrison informed the Islanders he would also be leaving and he has now revealed whether he sees a future with Lauren. Speaking for the first time after his exit, Harrison finally broke his silence on the love triangle drama, which saw Toni left devastated after she learned he had slept with Lauren twice. 'I was relatively new to the Villa so I wanted to explore connections and I came to the conclusion that Toni was the better suit for me,' Harrison said of the drama. 'Then when I went to Casa there was an instant spark and connection with Lauren, I knew from day one there was something special there. 'When I came back from Casa something in the back of my mind was still thinking about Toni. 'If I had left with Lauren when Shakira had the choice to send me home, I think I would've always regretted not giving me and Toni one final go as we left on good terms before Casa. 'That's the reason I gave a little speech before the recoupling on the Terrace. As soon as I did that, I felt terrible towards Lauren. For two days, I tried to go tunnel vision with Toni but there was something holding me back.' Harrison also hinted that he will be pursuing things with Lauren now he has left the villa, saying he didn't feel like his experience was 'the same' after she left. 'I felt like Lauren and I naturally gravitated towards each other, the connection we have is so so special I wasn't ready to leave it,' he gushed. 'When Lauren first got the text saying she was being dumped my initial reaction to her leaving was ''I'm going''. 'I came here and found what I wanted. Having said that, I didn't want to make an emotional decision, I'm quite an indecisive person and so I wanted to take my time with it, rather than leave and regret what I'd done. 'The fact I stayed a day later and processed everything really helped me,' he continued. 'Me leaving was making a big statement. It shows her I'm really into her and see a serious future with her.' While Harrison currently lives in Florida, Lauren is based in York but the footy star insisted he doesn't think the distance will be an issue. 'We'll make the distance work! It will be no issue,' he vowed. 'We left on good terms but the two days prior to leaving we weren't talking properly so it would be good to have a conversation, get everything out in the open and hopefully move forward from there. 'I feel very strongly about the girl, I wouldn't have left if I didn't. I have no doubt in my mind that she'll be my girlfriend one day. 'I'm buzzing to see her and reunite! She's such a great girl.' Coronation Street fans floored over Bernie star's age as she celebrates major birthday
Coronation Street fans have been left in disbelief after discovering the real age of actress Jane Hazlegrove, who plays Bernie Winter on the ITV soap Coronation Street fans were gobsmacked to discover the real age of actress Jane Hazlegrove. Jane burst onto the scene in 2019 as Bernie Winter, the long-lost mother of Gemma (played by Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (portrayed by Peter Ash), quickly becoming a hit with viewers. Bernie has been at the centre of some major plots, including the poignant storyline in 2023 where Paul was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), leading to his tragic death in September 2024 with Bernie at his side. Additionally, Bernie's world was rocked when her long-lost son Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) made an unexpected appearance last year. Her romantic escapades have also been a hot topic, particularly her beloved relationship with Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin). Before joining the cobbles, Jane graced our screens in Silent Witness, The Bill, Doctors, and notably as Kathleen 'Dixie' Dixon on BBC's Casualty from 2006 to 2016, reports Leicestershire Live. However, it's her recent birthday that has left fans astounded. Celebrating her 57th birthday on the 17th of July, a fan posted on a Corrie Facebook group: "Happy 57th birthday wishes to Jane have a fantastic day." The revelation sparked a flurry of compliments from fans, all agreeing that Jane looks absolutely fabulous for her age. Someone else exclaimed: "No way she doesn't look it ." A third surprised fan added: "I thought the same!" In agreement, another commented: "An amazing actress, she looks good for her age doesn't she?". When she's not gracing the soap world, Jane is blissfully in love with her devoted soap star wife Isobel Middleton. The couple exchanged vows in 2015 and have shared over 28 years together. Isobel, an accomplished actress herself, is no stranger to the small screen. She has portrayed three different characters on Emmerdale throughout the years. She appeared as Dr Lane in 2014, played a barrister during Simon McManus' trial in 2018, and in 2020, she took on the role of Jean Rawson. However, Emmerdale isn't the only soap opera where Isobel has made her mark. She featured as Sadie Banks in BBC's EastEnders back in 2002. Not just confined to television, Isobel also had a role in the 2009 blockbuster Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
