It's time to listen to the pros.
1. A slicker brush you'll wanna add to cart immediately if you have a curly-haired or double-coat breed. Its thin, tightly packed bristles are angled and have coated tips to prevent any scratches.
www.amazon.com, Amazon
There are lots of reviews from pleased pet parents of Maltipoos, poodles, goldendoodles, Maltese, Bichon Frise
Promising review: "This is the only brush he likes. He Is relaxed when you brush his hair. I had to buy two, one for grandma's house and one for our house because he runs runs and hides if you try to brush him with any other brush. No more mats for this poodle." — Liz
"This was recommended to me by my dog groomer and it works great. I have a large Labradoodle with a long coat and it's perfect to keep his coat nice and soft." — Morgan Crowe
Get it from Amazon for $13.97+ (available in three colors).
2. A grooming rake that'll help loosen tangles and lighten your pup's undercoat — without the yelps.
www.amazon.com
Promising reviews:"It really gets out the hair from the undercoat of my Aussie without pulling and hurting her. It came highly recommended by my groomer. It really helps with shedding, pulls that undercoat out, and keeps my old girl cool in the Florida heat." — R. Smith
"This works amazing. I am a groomer, and this works really well for the clients who have dogs with a lot of undercoat that's shedding. I may get a second one for home use. And you can't beat the price!" — Whitney
Get it from Amazon for $18.99.
3. A reusable roller dog hair remover might have you toss your old sticky roller after you see how much fur this reusable one (it has a sturdy brush system) picks up off your beloved couch that both you and your dog basically live on.
See the ChomChom roller in action on TikTok!
Promising review:"I'm a pet groomer and constantly have hair on my clothes and car. This product works very well to remove hair and is easy to clean!" — Jessica Pittman
And check out this ~glowing~ review from my colleague Jenae Sitzes: "The tens of thousands of 5-star Amazon reviews are reason enough to add the ChomChom to your cart immediately — but let me add my own personal review to the stack. I've been using the ChomChom for quite a while now, but I took the photos above literally just now to show just how quick, easy, and effective this roller is. It took 10 seconds to rid my velvet couch ottoman (yes, velvet...a terrible cat owner choice, I know) of the hair my two gray kitties are constantly leaving everywhere. It takes a bit of practice to get the hang of using this roller — at first, I thought you only brushed down in one direction, and was confused why it wasn't picking up hair. It's important to do a push-and-pull brushing in *both* directions so it actually pulls the hair inside, which does require you to apply a bit of pressure. Afterward, you'll just dump out the hair that's been trapped inside. The ChomChom is best for large flat surfaces like couches and beds."
Get it from Amazon for $24.99. And check out a mini version.
4. An allergy supplement that reviewers say has helped dogs will all sorts of skin sensitivities scratch and shed less. They have a dose of probiotics and other nutrients said to help improve immune function, aid digestion, promote healthy skin, and add shine to a dog's coat.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com

Get them from Amazon for $32.97 (or Subscribe & Save for $29.97/month).
5. A detangling shampoo that'll likely have you filming a slo-mo video for your grid of your dog shaking his glossy, NOT tangly ears.
www.amazon.com
Promising review:"I have been a professional dog groomer for over 35 years and this stuff does what it says it will. Even on the most coarse coats it turns it into a thing of beauty; any mats almost fall out. This is a whole new world for me. Who says you can't teach old dogs new tricks? This old dog just learned one." — sandra k. steele
Get it from Amazon for $14.99 (or Subscribe & Save for $13.49/three months).
6. A nail grinder that, according to reviewers, will be a godsend for pets who hate or can't get to the groomer but are quite good at growing talons.
Promising review:"I've got one of those dogs who doesn't like his nails touched, and he's got a devoted owner who tried clipping his nails and cut one too short, so that was traumatic for both of us! My dog gets horribly car sick, and taking him anywhere in the car creates so much angst, but he has to have those nails trimmed. The groomer suggested this product, which she actually has and uses on her own dogs, and urged me to buy it and give it a try. I ordered it and got it, and then I was scared to use it on him! But the company follow-up provided me with some helpful suggestions and a great amount of encouragement, and there is a very happy ending to this story! So I absolutely recommend it." — jazziejay5
Get it from Amazon for $19.99+ (available in six colors).
7. Or nail clippers for impatient pets who won't sit still long enough to let you go at them with a nail grinder.
Promising review:"For whatever reason, I didn't know trimmers came in sizes. I have a big boy, about 90 lbs. His nails were so hard to cut, and I would usually split them. I talked to a groomer, and she suggested these. What a big difference! My big boy is very pleased with his nails, LOL. Nothing split and quick, clean cut. Ease to hold as well. Very pleased." — Susan E. Snyder
Get them from Amazon for $11.99
8. A tearstain remover to brighten your dog's coat by lightening those dark marks around their eyes. It will be especially helpful for dogs with lighter coats.
www.amazon.com
Promising review:"I have a Maltese who had horrible red tearstaining. My groomer recommended this product and it's amazing!! I wash her eyes every night with a child's small soft toothbrush and a small amount of this wash and in the morning I clean her eyes with Henry Schein tearstain remover on a cotton pad and her little eyes are white as snow. It's soap free and has never irritated her eyes... Love it!!" – Stacey
Get it from Amazon for $12.99+ (or Subscribe & Save for $11.69/three months; available in three sizes).
9. A handheld shower attachment that has TONS of pro groomer fans in the reviews. Reviewers also keep it at their homes for in-home grooming appointments.
Amazon
Promising review:"I purchased this as I have a groomer who comes to the house to groom my dogs. She absolutely loves it and recommends it, and is now recommending it to all of her clients. She says it relieves any tension in her back and actually gets all of the soap out to where she is using less water than before. That's a win for me." — ER

At his next appointment, 4 weeks later, she could already see a big difference. The added bonus for us was that since our dog was a puppy, he had battled tear stains. I had resisted using supplements in the past as they had poor reviews. So, this product helped his teeth, stopped his tear stains, and doesn't have negative reviews.....win, win!" — Shireen S.
Get it from Amazon for $12.89 (or Subscribe & Save for $12.25/month; available in three flavors and two sizes).
11. Or some dental health powder you can sprinkle on your pet's food for cleaner teeth and fresher breath.
www.amazon.com
Promising review:"My vet kept advising that my dog needed his teeth cleaned but he would have had to be put under anesthesia to do so. My daughter is a dog groomer and someone told her about this product. We tried it and the next time at the vet, they didn't say a word, just made a notation that his teeth could use cleaning. We hadn't been using the product for long at that time. We've continued to use it and his teeth look great. My daughter is now advising her clients to try this when they bring the subject up." — AssateagueMist
Get it from Amazon for $23 (or Subscribe & Save for $20.70/month).
12. A hair-removing glove for pets who KNOW what you're doing when you pull out a regular brush. They'll think they're getting a total treat but I'll keep our evil secret.

www.amazon.com
Promising review:" We got this at the recommendation of our groomer. Our dog is very short hair, but gets scratches and bites on herself a lot. She's a nervous little dog. This has been very soothing and has helped heal her skin. It's a little hard at first, but warms up and is easy to get out. I only need a little bit to form a film on her skin. Smells a little minty or herbally, but it doesn't linger, and the dog doesn't seem to mind. She loves having me put it on, and it has become a bonding time for us." — Jada
Get it from Amazon for $15.99.
14. A doggie blow-dryer with a flexible hose and two heating settings to help transform your dog from wet mess to runway ready.

www.amazon.com
Promising review:"I am a dog groomer who has to clean up a lot of hair. I absolutely love this product; it makes clean-up a breeze. Hair doesn't stick to bristles like a traditional broom. It picks up dust and dirt, too. When the floor is wet, just use the squeegee side of the broom." — Kim Atwood

Superstitious People Reveal Their Wildest Beliefs
I must say, I have a few superstitions ingrained in me. Don't we all? I hesitate to toast with a glass of water or share my wish when I blow out birthday candles. And even though my personal ones are pretty tame, I always LOVE to hear about the strange things people believe and how they rationalize them into their everyday life. So when Reddit user Responsible_Idea8766 asked, "What superstition do you absolutely believe in?" I HAD to dive in and share them with you all. Hats on beds causing death. Debit card positioning. Shoe order. Strange full moon coincidences. Childhood weather affects who you are. The name Pat. Iron keys. The planet Mercury has social power. Putting tools away early. Untucked limbs. Not trusting the 'save' button. The tech support paradox. Jinxing work. Knocking on wood. Things happen for a reason. Lucky and unlucky numbers. Deja vu. Sharing wishes. Waves of good and bad things. Picking up coins. Throwing salt. I have a few weird ones, too – ones I can't reason out. For instance, I don't put my purse on the ground because I believe it shows that I don't respect money, causing the universe to withhold any surpluses that could come my way. Or that Friday the 13th causes bad juju...I can't tell you why. In the comment, tell me the WEIRDEST superstitions you believe in or know someone who does. It's an itch I need to keep scratching. And make sure you follow BuzzFeed Canada on TikTok and Instagram for more!

With this, you'll be able to clean and reattach your curtain or liner easily, so accomplishing this dreaded chore has never been easier. A set of bedsheet holders because nothing is more annoying than always waking up to a fitted bedsheet corner that won't stay tucked — especially if it's the corner pressed up against a wall!! Now when you go through all the work to change your sheets, they can stay in *perfect* condition! A pack of ceiling fan carbon filters that can help catch the dust, pollen, pet dander, and smoke lingering in your rooms by simply turning on your fan. Reviewers love these because they're unnoticeable (they sit on top of your fan blades) and help their home smell better, especially in pet households. A durable plastic clear toy blocker because despite your ~pawfect~ throw, toys always end up underneath furniture and other dusty, crumb-ridden areas when playing with your pet. You can install these to avoid that frustration and cut them to fit any space perfectly — plus, they can be removed without leaving behind any residue, washed, and stuck back in place without losing their stickiness or causing damage. A callus-removal gel that'll "melt off" tough, dead calluses to reveal softer, more supple skin, especially if you're a little extra hard on your feet or have ill-fitting shoes. Reviewers say they prefer the results from this *over* treatments they get at salons! A milk frother so you can make your hot or iced latte so thick and frothy you'll feel like you're sipping on an overpriced one from a trendy coffee shop. This is not only cheaper than the Nespresso Aeroccino, but it's smaller and easier to clean up, too. A WD-40 pen designed to stop squeaks, prevent rust, and lubricate hinges with precision. It's the original formula but in pen form, so it can go wherever you go! Skala's Mais Cacho Hair 2-in-1 Conditioning Treatment for bouncier and shinier curls that actually last a long time. Reviewers say their hair felt softer, more defined, and frizz-free without that horrible greasy feeling. Bonus: You can leave it in all day long to help repair and hydrate your hair! Sol De Janeiro's Cheirosa '76 body and hair mist if you've already bought into the Cheirosa '62 hype (aka the delicious scent of their famous Bum Bum cream), but now you wanna try out one of their other heavenly fragrances. This one has top notes of blackcurrant, midnight jasmine, and freesia, which reviewers say smells like flowers — one person even said it smells like Tom Ford's Velvet Orchid perfume... 👀 The Owala Freesip, aka the water bottle to end all others, thanks to its built-in straw, wide-mouth spout for tip-back drinking, and genius lid you can lock to keep out grossness *and* prevent spills. This may just replace the monster jug with a handle (*cough* STANLEY *cough*). And a super cute Owala "SmoothSip" travel tumbler designed to be completely leakproof and offer a ~smooth~ drinking experience 'cause we've all had coffee end up all over us from standard tumblers... and that's just a day ruiner, especially on Monday at 8 a.m. Now your hot *or* iced coffee, matcha, and herbal tea game can go up a notch. A set of Snug Plugs if your computer charger slips out every time you plug it into an outlet. Pop this right in the outlet for a tighter fit and watch your charging woes poof out of thin air.

I Swear By This Product For My Bathroom And Hallways — And It's Not Just For Kids
Few things ruin a night of sleep faster than waking up to pee in the middle of the night and turning on the blinding overhead light in your bathroom, jolting you awake and making it nearly impossible to fall back asleep once you're done. The same can be said for having to turn on the hallway light so you don't fall down the stairs in the dark when all you want is a midnight snack. Frankly, I had always assumed nightlights were for children who struggled with a fear of the dark. But when a previous roommate wordlessly put a nightlight in our apartment's shared bathroom, I quickly realized how subtly revolutionary these practical little gadgets are. I absolutely loved never having to turn on the overhead light late at night, so I could actually fall back asleep after a bathroom trip. I now swear by my GE rotational LED nightlights for my bathroom, kitchen and dark staircases, so much so that once I moved into a new place, I, too, wordlessly bought and plugged in nightlights of my own. I'm now on a self-proclaimed mission to convert everyone I know, because I'm truly convinced that they're a life hack. These nightlights come in a welcome two-pack (since once you realize how useful these are, one won't be enough anyway) and are light-sensing, so they stay off during the daytime and light up at dusk when a room grows dark. This style gives off 40 lumens of soft illumination so you can easily see and get around without hurting your eyes. I love how they rotate a full 360-degrees so you can direct their light directly to where you want it (I like to concentrate the light above my sink), plus they're sleek enough that you'll have room to utilize the outlets above or beneath them. These little home upgrades are so practical and affordable, I'm convinced they'd make great small gifts, too. While my rotating nightlights are my ride-or-dies, I've also compiled a few other great nightlight styles, including one with an extra-bright light and a dimmable, motion-sensing version. Read on for more standout options. Amazon These light-sensing plug-in nightlights are a bestseller on Amazon and give off warm white light to help illuminate bathrooms, nurseries, hallways, kitchens and more. They're also available in styles that give off cool white light or that cycle through the colors of the rainbow, a cool feature that's sure to be a hit among kids. $11.34 at Amazon $11.86 at Walmart Amazon This nightlight is dimmable, so you can adjust it from 0 lumens all the way up to 100 lumens. It's also light-sensing, so it'll turn off during the day and on during dusk. $11.44 at Amazon $11.44 at Walmart Amazon Life editor Kristen Aiken spotted these minimal amber-colored LED light on Eva Chen's Instagram and grabbed them up for a family member who just moved into a new home. The light-sensitive device will automatically illuminate when it senses darkness and has an ultra-slim profile. $11.97 at Amazon Amazon This motion-sensing option handily turns on its soft white light when it detects motion in the dark, and turns off again after 60 seconds of inactivity (you can also opt to turn this function off, keeping the nightlight either always on or always off). You can adjust its light from a softer 30 lumens to a bright 60 lumens. Its motion-sensing function makes it a great choice for dark areas like garages or even closets, plus helps cut down on your electricity bill. It's also available in a number of colorful lighting options (including blue, purple, green and more) as well as in a daylight white color. $12.99+ at Amazon This Affordable Grout Cleaner Has Jaw-Dropping Results This Surprisingly Chic $7 Pill Case Is The Most Important Item In My Bag Under-$30 Upgrades Your Bathroom Is Probably Missing
