Tejasvi Surya reveals Infosys co-founder NR Narayana Murthy flew economy, carried his own luggage; post goes viral
In a heartwarming post on X, Surya shared that during their journey from Mumbai to Bengaluru on a low-cost domestic airline, Murthy not only travelled in economy but also carried his own luggage and used the common washroom at the airport, avoiding the VIP lounge.
Surya called their two-hour conversation during the flight, spanning artificial intelligence, manufacturing, Indian urban development, youth upskilling, ethics, and leadership, 'deeply inspiring'.
'Had an inspiring conversation with the legendary NRN today on the way back to Bengaluru from Mumbai. NRN pioneered the Indian IT services sector, turning it into a global powerhouse. He created wealth for literally lakhs of middle class families through Infosys. In a response to ANI editor Smita Prakash—who praised Murthy for choosing a commercial flight over a private jet despite his $5 billion net worth—Surya added more context,' Surya wrote on X.
'From AI to manufacturing, state of our cities to upskilling our youth to ethics and leadership – it was a 2 hour masterclass learning from him. I humorously quipped at the end of our conversation that I'll strive to meet his 70-hour-a-week target – to which he laughed and said, 'The only person I know who probably works 100 hours a week is Prime Minister Modi!'' he added.

The post quickly grabbed attention, garnering numerous reactions. 'So question arises is if an infosys employee works 70 hours he will have a job security or innfosys has no plans to adapt AI…100 hours a simgle week or 100 hours every week?' a user wrote. 'Absolutely true. NRN indeed is a great entrepreneur. And the long working hours concept depends on the individual and not the organisation to drive. If you are committed to and want to go the extra mile, achieve great heights then time does not matter. So let's stop counting hrs!' another user commented.

1 2 Lucknow: UP cooperative minister JPS Rathore said on Saturday that the cooperative societies of the state were dilapidated, and warehouses were in ruins in the past and are being renovated by the BJP govt. "New buildings were being constructed in the societies. Along with this, an interest-free cash credit limit of Rs 10 lakh each was made available to farmers to provide fertilisers and seeds easily through societies," he said, asserting that if required, the limit would be increased to Rs 15 lakh. He said that inactive societies were activated by providing working capital of Rs 10 lakh each to about 7,000 primary cooperative societies of the state. "A total of 11.94 lakh MT of urea is available in the state, including 2.65 lakh MT urea in the cooperative sector and 9.29 lakh MT urea in private sector. Along with IFFCO and KRIBHCO, 40% of fertiliser is also being procured from private suppliers and provided to societies," he added. "This is being reviewed daily at the state level so that there is no shortage of fertilisers in societies in any district. As monsoon arrived before time, the demand for fertiliser is already prevailing," he said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Many Are Watching Tariffs - Few Are Watching What Nvidia Just Launched Seeking Alpha Read More Undo "During this period last year, 14.24 lakh MT of urea was distributed by cooperative and private sectors. This year, 17.88 lakh MT of urea has been distributed so far. There is no shortage of urea in the state. Officers have been asked to maintain supply of fertiliser to farmers," he said. Rathore said that efforts should be made to stop black marketing of fertiliser from districts along the Nepal border. He said that computerisation of committees was being done and instructed officers to prepare a digital data of the farmers in which their name, address, khasra-khatauni, Aadhaar number, and mobile number should be prepared so that farmers could easily take fertilisers and seeds and sell their produce. He said that the facility of digital payment through QR code would be made available at all the committees through district cooperative banks, which would solve the problem of overrating of fertiliser.

CM launches Rs 2,578 crore development projects in Mysuru, criticises opposition
1 2 3 Mysuru: Chief minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday launched development projects of Rs 2,578 crore in Mysuru district. The new projects sanctioned to the city include a cancer hospital (Rs 50 crore), an endocrinology hospital (Rs 50 crore), a new building and facilities at the Institute of Nephrology (Rs 125.5 crore), and a new KSRTC bus stand in Banni Mantap (Rs 120 crore). Also, various developmental works of Rs 380.8 crore were implemented in the Mysuru City Corporation limits. These include a construction and demolition (C&D) waste recycling plant (Rs 10.6 crore), a material recovery facility (Rs 10.2 crore), a floating dragon boating pond inside the Dasara exhibition grounds at an estimated cost of Rs 3.5 crore, and works of the Centre for Sports Science (Rs 3.5 crore). The CM inaugurated the newly constructed buildings of the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya hostels for boys and girls. The CM launched these projects in the presence of DCM DK Shivakumar, AICC president Mallikharjun Kharge, and over a dozen cabinet colleagues, including home minister G Parameshwara and energy minister KJ George. Speaking at an event, Siddaramaiah accused the opposition of misleading the public. "The BJP and JD(S) are spreading falsehoods to derail Karnataka's progress. I challenge them to come to a single platform and debate our govt's development works. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Do you have a mouse? Play this for 1 minute and see why everyone is crazy about it. Play Game Undo I will be there," Siddaramaiah said. He said BJP MPs from the state are afraid to even talk in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He accused the Union govt of denying Karnataka its rightful share in the Centre's taxes. "BJP and JD(S) are neglecting the state's interests. Why don't Union ministers HD Kumaraswamy and Pralhad Joshi, or MP Basavaraja Bommai, demand justice for our state? Their silence is a betrayal," he charged. Siddaramaiah alleged that the BJP never came to power in Karnataka on its own and captured power through the backdoor via Operation Kamala. He also criticised JD(S) leader Kumaraswamy, claiming he never rose to power independently. Siddaramaiah accused the BJP and JD(S) of being envious of Congress' achievements, urging them to set aside petty jealousy. "Today JD(S) became very weak in the state due to its alliance with BJP," he said. Interestingly, even though this convention was widely called a show of strength for CM Siddaramaiah on his home turf, district minister HC Mahadevappa made it clear that it is not a convention called to show one's existence or challenge anyone. "After Mysuru Maharaja Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, Mysuru city witnessed developments only under Congress rule—under Siddaramaiah's govt," he claimed.
