Wrexham AFC Championship test excites Arthur Okonkwo
His two campaigns at The Racecourse have been hugely successful with Okonkwo winning back-to-back promotions with the Reds.
Wrexham, who have secured an historic three successive promotions, will play in the second tier next term and it will be the 23-year-old's first experience of playing at that level.
But Okonkwo, who kept 19 clean sheets in League One last season on the back of 16 shut-outs in League Two the previous campaign, is relishing the step-up.
"I can't wait for next season. It's the next challenge playing in the Championship and I'm sure I'll be ready for it," he said.
"We're just going to enjoy it, the same as this season just gone.
"The pressure is going to be on and it's going to be challenging, we're just going to take it in our stride.
"But last season was challenging, the season in League Two was challenging so it's just the same.
"Obviously not the same in terms of the level which is going to increase again but that's football.
"You want those challenges, you want to play in the big stadiums and you want to play the big teams.
"That's what everyone dreams about and I am sure we are going to enjoy next season."
Okonkwo previously had loan spells with Crewe Alexandra in League Two and Austrian side Sturm Graz during the 2022-23 season before starting his journey with Wrexham.
The Reds were in League Two having already been crowned National League champions when Okonkwo arrived in north Wales and he's delighted the success story has continued with him in the ranks.
"When I came back from Austria and joined Wrexham in League Two, I wanted to go up the leagues," he said.
"To be doing that now is unbelievable, it's amazing.
"Some of these players have three promotions in a row and I'm just so happy to be on that journey."

Wrexham are back in the second tier for the first time in 43 years where they will come up against the likes of Leicester City, Southampton and Ipswich Town.
Okonkwo added: "The thing that makes us really happy is that fans are with us on this journey.
"They also get to see the big stadiums and watch us play the big teams.
"This is what we all wanted, this is what I wanted to do when I joined Wrexham.
"I wanted to compete and take the club to the next level and see how far we can take it."

Last month, the 42-year-old missed Morton's first match of the Championship campaign against Dunfermline after his daughter arrived 14 weeks premature and weighing only 1lb and 4 ounces. Fans of the Greenock club later unfurled a banner reading: "Keep fighting Remi." The tragic youngster was in a neonatal intensive care unit at Wishaw Hospital fighting for her life, with Imrie and partner Lauren by her side. He posted on X/Twitter: "30.07.25-19.08.25 "Our girl got tired in the early hours of Tuesday morning & decided it was time to rest. 'If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever'. The Tour Championship has added importance given it will determine the winner of the FedEx Cup - a season-long competition where points are awarded based on finishing position in all PGA Tour sanctioned tournaments. It is worth noting that the rules have changed - as the Tour Championship features a new format that was introduced this year, with the event being played as a 72-hole stroke-play event with all players starting at even par to determine the winner of the FedExCup. Therefore - although Scottie Scheffler leads the FedExCup standings by 3,679 points from Rory McIlroy in second - he won't have a starting strokes advantage like in years past. Despite the above - Scheffler will be particularly motivated as he looks to become the first player in FedExCup history to claim back-to-back titles. If successful - he will pick up a cool $10million (£7.4m). However - it was his win in April that was the most significant - as he defeated countryman Justin Rose in a playoff en route to his maiden Masters title. Additionally, it was a huge monkey off the back for McIlroy as it marked his first major in more than a decade and ensured he completed the elusive career Grand Slam. As it relates to his chances at the Tour Championship this weekend - he is a 15/2 second-favourite according to Sky Bet. McIlroy has the joint most Tour Championship titles alongside all-time great Tiger Woods - with the pair having won it three times apiece. Tommy Fleetwood The third-favourite in the market with Sky Bet is England's Tommy Fleetwood at 11/1 odds. Fleetwood has been in strong form of late - with the 34-year-old coming agonisingly close to claiming his maiden win on the PGA Tour on multiple occasions in recent months. He was in a prime spot to win the Travelers Championship in Connecticut in June - however - he finished second by a shot after shooting a disappointing 2-over on the final day. Fleetwood then squandered another late lead at the St. Jude Championship earlier this month. Ludvig Aberg Ludvig Aberg secured his second career PGA Tour victory in February - with the Swede defeating big-name opposition such as Scheffler, Fleetwood and Justin Thomas to win the Genesis Invitational. Additionally, although he hasn't come away with an title, Aberg has been in strong form of late. The supremely talented 25-year-old has registered a top-10 finish in three of his last four starts - and for those tipping him to build on those performances and reign supreme at the Tour Championship - he is a 16/1 fourth-favourite to be crowned champion. Russell Henley Russell Henley won his fifth PGA Tour event in March - as he triumphed at the esteemed Arnold Palmer Invitational by a single shot. It appears the bookies believe he will be there or thereabouts this weekend - as he enters as an 18/1 fifth-favourite to hoist the trophy. Henley performed well at the Tour Championship last year - with the American finishing tied fourth. Price Boosts In addition to the Price Boost outlined earlier in the article - which requires Scheffler to win at 6/4 - there are a further three boosts on offer with Sky Bet that are generating interest in the betting lines. They include Scheffler and Fleetwood to both finish top five including ties, Fleetwood and MacIntyre to both shoot 68 or less in round 1, and Collin Morikawa and Henley to both finish top 10 including ties.
