How to watch Spain vs Switzerland for FREE: TV channel and live stream for Women's Euro 2025 today
The Spanish - the No2-ranked women's football team in the world - are unbeaten so far in this tournament, having knocked a total of 14 goals past Portugal, Belgium and Italy in the group stage while conceding just three times.
But the Swiss, despite only scraping through to the knockout rounds on goal difference, will have the home crowd on their side in what could be a boisterous night in Bern.
It marks Switzerland's first appearance in a European Championship quarter-final, while Spain's previous best run at this tournament is their semi-final showing back in 1997.
Last time out, La Roja were knocked out in the Euro 2022 quarter-finals by eventual winners England. They have since beaten the Lionesses in both the 2023 Women's World Cup final and more recently the Nations League - but Montse Tome's team will not face Sarina Wiegman's until the final, if both teams makes it that far.
Before then, the winners of this tie, be it Spain or Switzerland, will come up against either France or Germany in the semi-finals.
This is the first meeting between these two sides in over a decade, rendering their previous head-to-head record - which sees Spain on top with four wins to Switzerland's three, as well as one draw - less than relevant.

England's Jess Carter reveals racial abuse at Euro 2025, FA has contacted police
ZURICH (AP) — England defender Jess Carter says she has been subject to racial abuse online at the Women's European Championship. Carter came in for a lot of criticism for her performance during England's opening loss to France. And some of that has crossed the line even as the 27-year-old and the Lionesses have reached the semifinals at Euro 2025. 'From the start of the tournament I have experienced a lot of racial abuse,' Carter wrote in an emotional post on Instagram on Sunday. 'Whilst I feel every fan is entitled to their opinion on performance and result I don't agree or think it's ok to target someone's appearance or race.' Carter, who has made 49 appearances for England and plays for Gotham FC, says she will be taking a step back from social media. 'As ever I am grateful for all of the support from the genuine fans but I am taking this measure to protect myself in a bid to keep my focus on helping the team anyway I can,' she added. The Football Association has contacted police back in the United Kingdom. 'Our priority is Jess and giving her all the support she needs,' FA CEO Mark Bullingham said. 'We strongly condemn those responsible for this disgusting racism. 'As soon as we were made aware of the racist abuse Jess received, we immediately contacted UK police. They are in touch with the relevant social media platform, and we are working with police to ensure those responsible for this hate crime are brought to justice.' England plays Italy in the semifinals on Tuesday in Geneva, after a dramatic comeback against Sweden last week saw the Lionesses win a chaotic penalty shootout. ___

Confirmed: Real Betis secure deal for new defender
La Liga outfit Real Betis have this weekend tied up a deal for a fresh addition to the club's defensive ranks. That's according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Valentin Gómez as the player primed to link up with Manuel Pellegrini's squad. Gómez, for his part, is a 22-year-old defender, who generally operates in a central role. The Argentine, a former youth international with the Albiceleste, has long been held in high regard in his home country. Gómez has been linked with a number of clubs across Europe over the course of the summer to date, with Dutch giants Feyenoord, for one, understood to boast a strong interest in a deal for the stopper. As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, then the Vélez Sarsfield talent looks set to end up in Spain. As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano: 'Valentin Gómez to Real Betis, here we go! Full agreement in place for the Argentine defender. Contract until June 2030 and $6.5m fee confirmed.' England's Jess Carter targeted by racist abuse during Euro 2025
England defender Jess Carter has revealed she has been the target of 'a lot of racial abuse' during Euro 2025. The 27-year-old has started all of the defending champions' matches so far in Switzerland and says she will now take a step back from social media to focus on the remainder of the campaign. England next travel to Geneva where they will face Italy in the semi-finals on Tuesday night. Writing on her Instagram account, Carter said in a statement: 'A message to the fans… 'From the start of the tournament I have experienced a lot of racial abuse. Whilst I feel every fan is entitled to their opinion on performance and result I don't agree or think it's ok to target someone's appearance or race. 'As a result of this I will be taking a step back from social media and leaving it to a team to deal with. 'As ever I am grateful for all of the support from the genuine fans but I am taking this measure to protect myself in a bid to keep my focus on helping the team any way I can. 'Hopefully speaking out will make the people writing this abuse think twice so that others won't have to deal with it. 'We have made some historic changes with this Lionesses squad that I am so proud to be a part of and my hope is that by speaking out about this it will make another positive change for all. 'I'm now looking forward and focusing on putting all of my energy into helping my team.'
