William Buick booked for Field Of Gold at Goodwood
With Keane currently serving a suspension after contravening the whip rules, connections needed to secure a new pilot for Field Of Gold's next appearance – and having revealed Buick was 'on the list' of potential riders two weeks ago, he has now been confirmed for the high-profile mount.

Barry Mahon, Juddmonte's European racing manager, told the PA news agency: 'I think John and Thady were to talk to William yesterday to confirm his availability and it sounds like they've done that and he's free to ride him, so I'd say that's the plan.
'In fairness, until you get to within a week of the event you don't know what other trainers and jockeys are doing, but obviously William has been able to commit now which is good.
'He's a top-class rider and rode a Group One winner for us last October on board Kalpana, so it's good to have him on board.'
Field Of Gold is set to head a quality Juddmonte team bound for the Sussex Downs, with fellow three-year-olds Cosmic Year and Jonquil also poised for action.
The Harry Charlton-trained Cosmic Year was second to Field Of Gold in the Irish 2,000 Guineas before failing to fire in the Prix Jean Prat at Deauville, while Andrew Balding's Greenham Stakes winner and French Guineas runner-up Jonquil will step back up in trip after finding the six furlongs of the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot too sharp.
Field Of Gold's Lockinge-winning stablemate Lead Artist meanwhile holds a Sussex Stakes entry, but appears unlikely to be on the Goodwood squad.
'I'd say Cosmic Year will run in the Thoroughbred Stakes, the Group Three over a mile, at the minute that's the plan,' Mahon added.
'Jonquil worked nicely this morning and he's a probable to run in the Lennox over seven (furlongs).
'Lead Artist is in the Sussex, but I'd say he's more likely to wait. He won't run against Field Of Gold I'd imagine, so I'm not sure what the plans are for him at this stage.'

Ferrari star Lewis Hamilton endured a difficult weekend at the Belgian Grand Prix but still took the time to offer consolation to another of his Formula 1 rivals who was also struggling Lewis Hamilton offered consolation to teenager Kimi Antonelli who continues to struggle in his debut Formula 1 season. The teenager began the year strongly but, since entering the European portion of the season, has looked a little lost and has struggled for form. Antonelli has failed to score across any of the six race weekends held in Europe so far this year, and failed to finish four of them. The other two saw the 18-year-old finish 18th in Monaco and, on Sunday, 16th at the end of a torrid Belgian Grand Prix weekend. Strangely, in the middle of those European races, Antonelli produced his best performance in F1 to date to secure his first podium, finishing third at the Canadian Grand Prix. But at Spa-Francorchamps after qualifying he was close to tears as he lamented his struggles. "Since the European season, I've been struggling to find confidence with the car," the teenager said. "I feel like I've done a backwards step. It's just a difficult moment for me – I feel like I have no confidence on pushing. Yesterday, I tried to push a bit too much and then I spun, and it kind of hurts the confidence even more. "We know the limitation we have since quite a lot, but with the way I'm driving, I'm just increasing the problem, and that gives me even less confidence with the car." Things did not get any better on Sunday as Antonelli struggled to make progress, having started from the pit lane with new engine components. Not only was he 16th at the end, but he was 14 seconds away from 10th place, the lowest points-paying position. In contrast, Hamilton had also started from the pit lane and found much more joy in his Ferrari, speeding up to finish seventh and 46 seconds up the road from the teenager who replaced him at Mercedes. But instead of celebrating his strong performance, the first thing the seven-time F1 champion did was approach Antonelli in parc ferme. It is not know what was said between them, but Hamilton could be seen offering consolation to the teenager. At 40 years old, the Brit is more than twice Antonelli's age and is driving for a direct rival team in Ferrari, but has spent time on several occasions offering his wisdom and experience to the struggling young Italian. Speaking about the youngster's struggles after the Belgium race, Hamilton said: "I can't imagine what it's like at 18, I can try to imagine what it's like at 18 to do what he's been doing. I think he's been doing fantastic, but to be thrown into the deep end at 18... he didn't even have his [road] driving licence when he started racing! "I think it's a lot on young shoulders, but he's doing a great job. He's got a great group of people around him, so I think he's just got to take it in his stride, which I think he is. "He's got Bono [Hamilton's old Mercedes race engineer Peter Bonnington] by his side – he couldn't have anyone better."

Holders Celtic are at home to top flight new boys Falkirk while Russell Martin's side host Alloa Athletic at Ibrox on the weekend of August 16/17. Gers take a 2-0 Champions League second round qualifying first leg lead to Athens this week, looking to finish the job against Panathinaikos. Do so, and they will face either Servette or Viktoria Plzen in the third qualifying round. It's not unthinkable that they will book a spot in the playoff round alongside their city rivals, leaving both 180 minutes away from the lucrative league phase. The first legs of those ties will be played on Tuesday August 19 and Wednesday 20, with the Premier Sports Cup fixtures being played the weekend prior. That's still a while away, but it won't be known if Rangers make it before the TV picks for the domestic cup clashes are made. That rules out the Sunday with at least one of them set to play on the Tuesday, and assuming Police Scotland don't go for staggered kick-offs on Saturday August 16, then the most obvious solution at this stage looks like Celtic hosting the Bairns on Friday 15. There is a precedent for both to kick-off on their own respective patches at the same time, however. July 2022 saw the Light Blues host Tottenham Hotspur in the friendly while Norwich City were across town at Celtic Park. Both games kicked off at 3pm on the same day in the same city - which was the first time that had happened since January 1999. Spencer happy to play waiting game with ‘exciting' Gold Digger
An impressive winner at Yarmouth on debut, Richard Spencer's exciting daughter of Starman was not disgraced when beaten just over four lengths at the Royal meeting and that form looks strong, with the winner Venetian Sun subsequently landing the Duchess of Cambridge at Newmarket and the fourth home Fitzella striking gold in the Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot on Saturday. However, immediate plans are on hold for Gold Digger, with connections eager to take a patient approach with a filly Spencer describes as 'one of the best we've had for a while'. 'The form is very good but she had a little niggle after Ascot so she won't be out anytime shortly,' said the trainer. 'Whether we can get her back out in the autumn I don't know, but we won't be rushing her because she's very talented. 'She will be a three-year-old so we're not going to rush to get her back just for this year, so we'll mind her and if we have to, wait until next year.' On plans for her return, Spencer added: 'If anything we will be dropping back to five furlongs to start off with then potentially stepping back up to six, but she's got so much speed. She got quicker from her Yarmouth debut to the Albany, so she'll be going five I would say wherever she goes. 'She won't run until she says she's ready and we won't be rushing, but she's exciting though and probably one of the best we've had for a while.'
