
‘Together We Can…': Delhi Woman's Message To Lover During Husband's Murder
The victim, identified as Karan Dev, was admitted to the Mata Rooprani Maggo Hospital on July 13 by his wife, Sushmita, who claimed that he suffered an accidental electric shock.
Karan was declared dead, and his family waived off a post-mortem as they believed it was an accident, as reported by NDTV.
However, the police insisted on an autopsy given the victim's relatively young age and the circumstances of his death, though Sushmita and his alleged lover–Karan's parental cousin, Rahul, objected. Later, the body was sent to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in Harinagar for post-mortem examination.
Meanwhile, Three days after the incident, the victim's younger brother, Kunal told police about his suspicions that Karan was murdered by his wife and their cousin. . He even provided evidence of an Instagram chat between Sushmita and Rahul, in which they had discussed the murder plan.
Chats Revealed
As per the chats accessed by the news outlet, the duo allegedly mixed 15 sleeping pills in his dinner on the night of July 12 and waited till he was unconscious. The messages also revealed that the couple had Googled the time it would take for the sleeping pills to cause death.
As Karan lay unconscious yet still alive, his wife casually informed her lover that she felt like taking a nap. However when the drugs failed to take immediate effect, Sushmita grew anxious.
'Check once how long it does it takes to die after taking the medicine. It's been three hours since he ate food. No vomiting. And no death yet either. Then what should we do, suggest something," she texted Rahul as per the NDTV report.
Rahul replied, 'If you can't figure anything out, give him a shock."
The conversation continued, with Sushmita asking, 'How to tie him up for the shock?"
Rahul said, 'With tape."
Sushmita texted, 'He's breathing very slowly."
Rahul replied, 'Give him all the medicine you have."
Sushmita messaged, 'I can't get his mouth open. I can pour water in, but I can't give the medicine. You come here, maybe together we can manage to feed it to him."
Duo Confessed To Crime
As per the police, the accused administered the electric shock to the victim in an attempt to stage the scene as an accidental death. Following the murder, Sushmita reportedly went to her in-laws' house to inform them about the accident. The family rushed to the flat and transported him to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
After the chats came to the police's notice, the duo were taken into custody.

An FIR was registered at cyber crime police station of Pune by the Army veteran. According to the complaint, in the last week of April this year, the Army veteran clicked on a fraudulent Instagram link, following which he was added to a Whatsapp group. The coordinator of the group, a woman, asked him to download a phone based application. He was told that the man in the group was a professor and an expert of share markets. He was told that the group will get two tips on IPO trading from the 'professor' and a particular target was set for each member of the group. The complainant was given details of fraudulent bank accounts to send money to. Each of his transfers was getting reflected on the fraudulent application along with corresponding high gains. Over 20 days in May, the complainant was manipulated into making 16 transfers totalling Rs 64 lakh to mule accounts registered in Karol Bagh in New Delhi, Sadar Bazar in Solapur, Rangareddy in Telangana, South Dinajpur in West Bengal, East Singhbhum in Jharkhand and Katni in Madhya Pradesh among others. The corresponding gain on the fraudulent app displayed Rs 7.7 crore. When he tried to withdraw the gains, he was told that he would have to pay 10 per cent of the sum. As the 'professor' and 'coordinator' continued to deny him the money, he realised that he had been swindled and approached the police. The Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad police have witnessed a worrying surge in online share trading fraud cases over the past two years. Fraudsters employ a variety of baits, including trading tips, virtual lectures, mobile applications, and enticing promises of exorbitant returns. Officials have also expressed concerns over citizens continuing to fall prey to these scams in spite of several advistories, sensitization campaigns and wide media coverage in this regard.

DEHRADUN: Dehradun Police have booked five individuals, allegedly linked to the 'Chhangur Baba gang', for attempting religious conversions among youth. The action, initiated at Ranipokhri police station, stems from a complaint by a local businessman whose daughter was reportedly targeted by the group, which allegedly operated a conversion racket through Instagram. Dehradun Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh confirmed the development, stating, "The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) had contacted Doon police regarding this matter, and subsequently took Abdul Rahman and a young woman named Mariam from Doiwala into custody for questioning." Based on the information provided by the UP ATS, Dehradun Police swiftly formed its own team and launched a thorough investigation into the alleged racket. During the course of their probe, several suspicious Instagram IDs linked to the operation were put under close surveillance. Police sources revealed that Abdul Rahman, a key figure, originally from Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, was born a Hindu but converted to Islam after coming into contact with Jalaluddin alias 'Chhangur Baba's' gang approximately 12 years ago. He had moved to the Selakui area about a decade and a half ago in search of work and currently works as a taxi driver in Shankarpur, Sahaspur.
