Wild One: Drifting Clouds - Bawuypawuy
Drifting Clouds is the solo project of Terry Guyula, who draws upon an eclectic mix of musical genres, ancestral Songlines, Dreamtime stories, indigenous culture and life in community to create an inspired vision of First Nations artistry. Terry explains that his debut single 'Bawuypawuy', sung in his first language; Liyawulma'mirr-Djambarrpuyngu, a language of Yolngu Matha, 'is about the sea becoming rough and tough and also it is on the Songlines we dance and sing".
The music video is directed by rage favourite Matt Sav, who skillfully captures the gorgeous natural beauty of Larrakia Country in all its dreamy 16mm glory.
"It is a huge privilege to work on a project that is a songline from Terry's country' says Matt. 'I need to thank Zac who asked if I could help out and who collaborated on it from the start, and Terry for trusting me with his song. Also I want to Acknowledge and pay my respect to the Larrakia people whos country we shot the video on.
'This was my first time shooting on 16mm by myself with a super 16 bolex that my star dp Lewis Potts' dad jimmied with a lightswitch so we can power it with a V-Lock [battery]. Ghetto but functional setup'.
Matt's ghetto/functional setup also translated into the set design for 'Bawuypawuy', with the whole team coming together to ensure that every piece of equipment was right where it needed to be. He explains 'we needed to prop the speakers up with something, and Zac (producer) said 'what about bricks? I have heaps of bricks at home'. I said 'I don't think we should use bricks, we need to carry them 500m across sand while the tide is moving fast. Have you carried any bricks before Zac?'. The next morning at sunrise, I ask Zac, what did you bring to prop the speakers up. He looks at me with a sheepish grin, 'ahh..bricks?!'... Well if you look at the bts closely you can see us all happily carrying bricks across a croc infested creek as the tide is rising."
"The funniest is about making this video, my director put me in the lake when it's cold season' says Terry. He also adds 'the BTS Crew makes me feel more confident by talking to me what to do and how to look at the camera."

New $60m Mambourin shopping centre reveals major retailers
Well-known food chains and a Coles supermarket will be among the retailers at a new $60m shopping centre in Melbourne's west set to open next month. The 7500sq m Mambourin Marketplace on Delama Blvd is slated to launch in September 2025. The Frasers Property Australia project is being built in the suburb of Mambourin, about 7km from Werribee. Joining the Coles will be a range of specialty stores including health and medical offerings like Plus Fitness, Beauty Canvas, Will's Nails & Beauty, Choice Pharmacy and a Doctors & Co medical centre. Fresh food options will include the Grace Oz Grocery, Mambourin Meat & Fish and Mambourin Fruit and Veg. Other retailers on the list are Sarnandoz Barber, Fantastic Variety, Blue Hippo Laundry, Mambourin Marketplace Lotto and My Fone Repairs. And hospitality outlets Naturals Street Kitchen, François, Burger Point, Smokin' Joes Pizza & Pasta, Flappy's Fried Chicken and Sushi Hub will provide a range of dining options. Flappy's, based in Sydney, is a family-run eatery specialising in Louisiana-style fried chicken. The restaurants became famous in NSW after a video of its sauce went viral in 2023, prompting foodies from interstate and even overseas to visit. The Mambourin store will be Flappy's first Victorian outlet, while the cafe François already has bases at Westfield Fountain Gate and Eastland. Run by hospitality expert James Meunier and his long-term business partner Vyvy, it offers beverages including coffee, plus sandwiches, New York-style bagels, pastries and desserts. Mr Meunier said he and his family were local to the Mambourin area. 'I've watched the Mambourin community grow and I've seen first-hand the progress of the new neighbourhood shopping centre,' Mr Meunier said. 'There's no other coffee offer like François in this part of the western suburbs so we're looking forward to bringing great coffee and food, generous service and some real European flair to the local community.' The marketplace will also feature a landscaped children's play area surrounded by greenery and seating for parents, near the outdoor dining area. Frasers Property Australia development director Thomas Rethati said the retailers at Mambourin Marketplace would celebrate the area's different flavours. 'Mambourin Marketplace will serve as a dynamic hub where residents can connect, discover authentic experiences, and enjoy the distinct character that only a community-driven shopping centre can provide,' Mr Rethati added.

‘Nearly died': AFL WAG Tayla Broad slams price of common cafe item
Influencer and AFL WAG Tayla Broad has sparked fierce debate on social media after slamming the price of the humble babycino. The 28-year-old, who is married to Richmond player Nathan Broad, with whom she shares two-year-old daughter Samara - took to Instagram to share her gripe with the rising price of the children's beverage - which is a cappuccino, sans coffee. Ms Broad, who has over 400,000 followers on Instagram, said that parents of toddlers would be aware that they 'very quickly' become obsessed with the cups of frothed milk. 'I've been pretty much all over my local area and I'm getting a stock standard price of $3.50,' she said. Ms Broad argued that the cost of what' is essentially a few teaspoons of milk is 'insane'. 'That is what they're charging for a babycino for three teaspoons of milk,' she said. 'Is that not just out of this world?' The mum argued that everyone needs to 'band together' to get the prices down, pointing out that a whole litre of milk costs around the same. Ms Broad also shared she has started making babycinos at home to save money, joking: 'I've never sounded more like my father.' A number of other mums remarked that Ms Broad's experience rang true, given the prevalence of cafe culture in everyday life. 'I paid $4 for other day for one. Nearly died,' one shared. 'There needs to be a standard price. In my area it ranges from free with purchase to $4,' another said. A third person described babycino prices as 'robbery', arguing the drink was basically just leftover milk from actual coffees, meaning it should cost $2 at most. Not everyone, however, found Ms Broad's complaint relatable, given her place of relative privilege during a cost-of-living crisis. 'How great must your life be if you're whinging about that? Be grateful,' one said. 'First world problems,' another said. 'Some people would be happy they could afford a babycino,' one wrote, adding Ms Broad should show some 'humility' and claimed the complaint was 'entitled' coming from a WAG.

Trainer Joe Pride saddles up Gus The Great at Warwick Farm
Gus The Great is headstrong, can't be told what to do and has a touch of arrogance about him. This was how part-owner and trainer Joe Pride described the three-year-old chestnut making his debut at Warwick Farm on Wednesday before refuting suggestions the racehorse was named after the well-known NRL commentator, former player and coach, Phil 'Gus' Gould. 'My pet corgi is named Gus and the first greyhound I've ever raced, Gus The Jet, who I own with (jockey) Brenton Avdulla, won the Group 1 Vic Peters Memorial the same day Estadio Mestalla won (Listed Winter Challenge, July 5),'' Pride said. 'I like Gus The Great, he reminds me a bit of (former Group 1-winning sprinter) Tiger Tees,'' Pride said. 'You can't tell him what to do, there is a touch of arrogance about him, and a lot of good horses have an arrogance about them. 'He's trialled really well and so has Isle Of Wight. I'm happy for them both to race on Wednesday.'' With the prospect of a very heavy track on Wednesday, Pride has opted to scratch well-bred three-year-olds Attica and Lupa Capitolina from the second race on the card, the Inglis Xtra Bonus Maiden (1300m). Godolphin's Attica is by former champion racehorse and sire Lonhro, and is the first foal out of multiple Group 2 winner Savatiano. Lupa Capitolina, by leading sire Almanzor out of the Shamardal mare Las Brisas, is a half-sister to Pride's stable star, dual Group 1 winner Ceolwulf. However, wet conditions won't deter Pride from starting Investment in the Asahi Super Dry Handicap (1600m) and The Replicant in the Hawaii Five Oh At Vinery Handicap (1400m). 'Those older horses, Investment and The Replicant, are fit and in-form, and they get through the going,'' he added. Pride is also keen for stable star Ceolwulf to resume in the Group 1 $1 million Winx Stakes (1400m) at Royal Randwick on Saturday. 'Ceolwulf will run, as long as the races are on,'' said Pride in anticipation of a heavy track Saturday given the forecast for rain most days this week. 'Kerguelen will go to Randwick as he's very good on heavy tracks, but I will probably save Cosmonova for another day if it's too wet.'' 'There's the option of going back to Caulfield next week for the (Group 1) Memsie Stakes or we wait for the (Group 2) Tramway Stakes at Randwick (September 6).'' ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ Formal Display, the former Irish sprinter, could break new ground for leading syndicators Triple Crown when he makes his Australian debut in the Hawaii Five Oh At Vinery Handicap (1400m) at Warwick Farm on Wednesday. Triple Crown has raced many outstanding horses over the last two decades, most notably dual The Everest winner Redzel, and Group 1 winners like Mazu, Hot Snitzel and Peggy Jean, but they haven't really tapped into the international market – until now. 'We have only had one import before who didn't do much out here but Formal Display does look promising,'' Triple Crown's Chris Ward said. 'He has trialled very well and might be even sharper than we anticipated.'' Formal Display won two of his seven starts in Ireland before being purchased by Triple Crown for about $200,000 at the Tattersall's October Sale in England last year. 'He's been in and out of work a couple of times with Annabel and Rob (Archibald) but he seems to have taken well to the Aussie style of training,'' Ward said. Formal Display led most of the way to win a Scone trial in mid-July then again showed plenty of speed before finishing a close third to Birdman in a strong Randwick trial on heavy ground about two weeks ago. 'He seems to be coming up well but he has a tricky gate and heavy track to contend with on Wednesday,'' Ward said. 'At this stage we are heading to Warwick Farm but we have taken the precaution of nominating him for Brisbane (Eagle Farm) on Saturday.'' Triple Crown also races promising three-year-old Without Peer, a debut winner at Rosehill late last season before his fast-finishing second to Ninja at the same track last Saturday. 'Without Peer has come through Saturday's run really well,'' Ward said. 'I know Ciaron (Maher, trainer) is very happy with the horse and we are looking at the Ming Dynasty Quality (Rosehill, September 13) next for him.''
