Adrien Dumont de Chassart had a 59 in the opening round at Crestview Country Club.
Creighton had 12 birdies and one bogey, on the par-3 eighth hole. Crestview is 6,910 yards and plays to a par 70, with both par 5s just over 500 yards and two of the par 4s measuring at under 350 yards.
It was the second time in two years at a Korn Ferry Tour event that two players had sub-60 rounds in the same week. Cristobal Del Solar of Chile set the Korn Ferry Tour record with a 57 in the opening round of the Astara Golf Championship in Colombia. The next day, Aldrich Potgieter of South Africa shot 59. Neither went on to win the tournament.
There have 18 sub-60 rounds on tours around the world since 2023, including a 59 on the PGA Tour this year by Jake Knapp at the Cognizant Classic.

The start of Friday's game was delayed 26 minutes due to rain. Key moment Keaschall reached base three times, but his error in the first inning helped open the floodgates for the Tigers. CINCINNATI (AP) — Christian Yelich had two homers among his four hits and drove in five runs as the Milwaukee Brewers overcame a seven-run deficit to beat the Cincinnati Reds 10-8 Friday night for their club record-tying 13th straight victory. The Reds chased Brewers rookie Jacob Misiorowski — making his first start since July 28 — with a seven-run seventh inning to take an 8-1 lead. Yelich homered leading off the second against Nick Martinez for Milwaukee's first run. He had an RBI double in the third before Andrew Vaughn hit his 14th homer — a three-run shot — and Brice Turang's RBI double to cut it to 8-6. Yelich had a two-run single in the fourth to tie it at 8-all and then hit his 26th homer — a one-out, solo shot off Scott Barlow (6-1) in the sixth to give the Brewers the lead. World number one Aryna Sabalenka and second-ranked Coco Gauff were sent crashing out of the ATP-WTA Cincinnati Open on Friday as Carlos Alcaraz fought off a fierce challenge from Andrey Rublev to reach the semi-finals. Top seed and defending champion Sabalenka had no answer for Elena Rybakina, falling to the 2022 Wimbledon champion 6-1, 6-4. Reigning French Open champion Gauff had 16 double faults in a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 exit at the hands of seventh-seeded Italian Jasmine Paolini. Spain's second-ranked Alcaraz had his difficulties, but he broke Rublev in the final game of a tense duel to emerge a 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 winner and will face third-seeded Alexander Zverev, who brought fifth-seeded Toronto champion Ben Shelton's run to an end with a 6-2, 6-2 victory. Zverev earned a 4-1 lead in the second set as Shelton angrily tossed his racquet on the changeover, and the 2021 champion polished off the win on a second match point.
