PS Plus Monthly games for July include Diablo 4 and Jusant

Engadget25-06-2025
Sony has revealed the PS Plus Monthly games for July as the subscription service is about to reach its 15th anniversary. Between July 1 and August 4, members on all tiers will be able to add Diablo IV (PS5 and PS4), The King of Fighters XV (PS5 and PS4) and Jusant (PS5 only) to their collection. The monthly games for June — NBA 2K25, Alone in the Dark (2024), Bomb Rush Cyberfunk and Destiny 2: The Final Shape — are available to claim until July 1.
Diablo IV is the clear headliner this time around. The 2023 action RPG from Blizzard is just about to get a big update too , including the expansion of endgame dungeons and the addition of keyboard and mouse support on consoles. Don't Nod's Jusant is a really lovely, narrative-based climbing game, a fairly relaxing way to spend a few hours . SNK's The King of Fighters XV, meanwhile, retains the series' 3 vs. 3 tag fighting format and it includes rollback netcode to minimize lag while playing online.
Meanwhile, June 29 marks the 15th anniversary of PS Plus. Sony is marking the occasion by offering free multiplayer to non subscribers this weekend, adding a couple of game trials ( WWE 2K25 and Monster Hunter Wilds ) for Premium members and offering discounts on games and Sony Pictures Core movies. The company says that, throughout the lifespan of PS Plus, it has made more than 500 monthly games available for subscribers to keep in their collection as long as they maintain their membership.
Sony still isn't sharing PS Plus subscriber numbers, though it told Game File that the Premium tier has grown by 18 percent over the last year. Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Hideaki Nishino recently said that PS Plus price increases are "partly a result of increasing value we bring to the players" and that they hadn't slowed down subscriptions. The company still has no plans to offer its own games on the service on their release date, unlike Xbox does with Game Pass, though it will continue to add some third-party games to PS Plus on day one.

Blizzard's Story and Franchise Development team has voted to unionize

Workers from Blizzard Entertainment's department for Story and Franchise Development have voted to unionize. Members of the team will become members of the Communication Workers of America and Microsoft has recognized the union. The SFD team is responsible for cinematics, animation and narrative in Blizzard's series, creating content such as in-game cutscenes and promotional videos. The department also includes archival workers and historians for Blizzard franchises, such as World of Warcraft and Overwatch . A spokesperson from CWA said that there will be about 169 workers from the company joining the local chapter. "After more than a decade working at Blizzard, I've seen all the highs and lows. For years, Blizzard has been a place where people could build their careers and stay for decades, but that stability's been fading," Bucky Fisk, a principal editor and member of the organizing committee, said. "With a union, we're able to preserve what makes this place special, secure real transparency in how decisions are made, and make sure policies are applied fairly to everyone." "These past couple of months have felt both important and cathartic given what's happened to video game workers across the industry," said Sammi Kay, another member of the organizing committee and an associate producer at Blizzard. "At multiple points in my life, I've always been told to accept the way things are, but with organizing, we're able to build a future better than we found it." Blizzard is owned by Microsoft. Today's development marks the latest move for game developers under the tech giant's umbrella to pursue union representation. About 600 quality assurance workers from Activision joined CWA last March. The QA team from ZeniMax also ratified its union agreement in June and Raven Software finally secured a union contract earlier this month.

Is Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater cross-platform?

The original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is one of the best PS2 games of all time. Being the earliest game in the Metal Gear timeline, it is also the perfect game to get a remake for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC with a revived Fox Hunt multiplayer mode. The main draw of the game is still the epic stealth-action single player campaign, but the unique hide-and-seek-based gameplay of Fox Hunt garnered a cult following back in the day and has a great chance of being an even bigger hit with this remake. But aside from learning when we can start playing that multiplayer mode, the big question is whether or not Metal Gear Solid Delta will have cross-platform support. We know there are differences between the versions, so let's see what we know about crossplay so far. Is Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater cross-platform? In a worrying move, Konami has yet to make any statements about whether or not Metal Gear Solid Delta will have cross-platform support as of the time of this writing. All we know is that it is indeed coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC and that there will be a new online mode. While the situation is far different now, the last Metal Gear game released, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, also did not have crossplay support back in 2015. While not unheard of, it was still odd even back then to not include it. Recommended Videos Being a remake and developed by a different team a decade later, I hope that cross-platform play is included but can't say with certainty it will be. I suspect we will learn the truth once we know for sure when the online mode will launch. When will Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater's online mode launch? Just as important as knowing whether the game will be cross-platform is knowing when the online mode will launch. The base game will be out on August 28, but according to the official Konami website, Fox Hunt is currently scheduled for 'fall 2025.' That timeframe could theoretically be any time between September and November so I will keep my ears open and update you as soon as we get a firm launch date.
